    I just love how Andy Brass spanked Scott Stephens with a seven year old truck on this night. Poetic Justice if there ever was any for Bigfoot

      Scott Stephens was a crybaby, this was just a big blue Ford of karma coming back to bite him in the ass.

      It was just to prove that it wasn't the truck kicking Scott Stephen's butt it was the driver, Andy Brass was just a much better driver then him didn't matter what truck it was

    This race event sticks out in my mind so vividly as a kid. The races that Bigfoot had were unbelievable. I remember being so heart broken at the end and convinced Bigfoot won. Thank you for putting these up, seriously its wonderful to see this.

    Sweet Sweet revenge for Andy Brass against Scott Stephens and all that trash talk.

    • @waynenorbreyjr9371
      @waynenorbreyjr9371 4 года назад +2

      You are exactly right, Scott made a comment during the Irving, Tx show about Bigfoot not having a truck that could compete. I heard that during this period that Bob was reluctant to putting in the big Alcohol injected motors, but if #4 had one of those that truck would have been a Beast. Bigfoot seems to have very reliable trucks that could finish a show from start to finish. Don't blame Bob for any decisions in regards to his trucks.

      @@waynenorbreyjr9371 Scott Stephens was a sore loser at best and a nasty shit talker at worse. Watching him get manhandled by an at the time 7 year old Bigfoot #4 and Andy Brass was beautiful poetic justice after his comments in Irving Texas.

  • @jago107
    @jago107 9 лет назад +12

    It's a shame Bigfoot 8 was banned at the time. I would've loved to have seen how Bigfoot 8 would've handled this track.

    • @CrisKG125

      +jago107 Why was Bigfoot 8 banned?

    • @jago107
      @jago107 8 лет назад +7

      Bigfoot 8 was banned early in the season for being "too good". The other trucks couldn't hang with it, so they made it sit out for 2 months for the other teams to get their new trucks ready to race.

    • @LawrenceW78
      @LawrenceW78 8 лет назад +2

      +jago107 yeah I remember alot of the drivers during the Memphis arena show I wanna say were not happy about Bigfoot 8 being around because A) they took off a full year or the rest of the 1989 season to build their new truck and B) the other divers were weeks away from bringing out their new trucks and theyd be weeks maybe longer behind Bigfoot 8 once competition got really going

    • @PlanetMikey74
      @PlanetMikey74 6 лет назад +9

      Knowing the handling problems they had with 8, #4 may have been the better choice for this track IMO.

    • @thedevilsM45
      @thedevilsM45 4 года назад +1

      look for a amateur taped 1991 figure 8 show and see jim kramer in #9 dominate the track and its similar to what #8 would have done.

    These are by far my favorite. Back when they were actually Real Trucks, and not over sized dune buggies that do wheel stands.

    • @waynenorbreyjr9371
      @waynenorbreyjr9371 2 года назад

      Yeah, but the trucks had to evolve from being actual trucks.

      @@waynenorbreyjr9371 they didn't HAVE TO. that's just how it turned out.
      Personally for me, I just think the competition was better when they were trucks and broke down easier. The drivers had to work harder on getting over the cars without breaking down.

    • @kaikaichen
      @kaikaichen 10 месяцев назад

      Not sure what you think of Bigfoot 8, but it technically was the first of the "oversized dune buggies". What I think is really cool, though, is that Bob Chandler's team made the effort to keep it looking like a real truck on the outside.

    I just found out that the Louisville Motor Speedway doesn't even exist anymore. It was torn down and turned into an industrial park shortly after the Kentucky Speedway was opened. That's a shame. I would've loved to see the modern trucks take a whack at this track.

    • @DWM2309
      @DWM2309 8 лет назад +1

      +jago107 That's what usually happens to old race tracks. I'm in Jacksonville,Fla and we had 2 tracks Jacksonville Speedway Park which closed in 1973 and Jax Raceways which closed in 2004. JSP is now a housing development and Jax Raceway being where its at is a prime location for either another housing development or industrial Park.A sign of the times.

    • @bustyrandit
      @bustyrandit Год назад

      @@DWM2309 I too live in Jax. Where was Jax Speedway Park located, off Normandy Blvd? I at least got to attend a few events at Jax Raceways before it was closed, one of which was a monster truck race and a Powder Puff demo derby. Clydesdale was one of the trucks appearing, was lucky to meet Bennett Clark, he mentioned this night was the last show for that version as he was finishing up details on a new race truck.
