Absolutely heartbreaking. Superb tournament by Arjun, he should be very proud! Damn, idk whats up with our juniors blundering completely drawn positions to Abdusattorov lol
Every time I blunder (which I do most of the time), I just look at these games and comfort myself that players of the highest quality do so (not so often).
You can really tell that Nodirbek feels bad winning that way. Nobody at that level wants to beat an opponent because of a one move blunder they made as a result of fatigue.
That is going to sting for a while. Reminds me of when I lost to a 1300 rated player in my last tournament. From a mate in 2 position, to allowing a last gasp discovery that actually gets me mated😢
Actually it was win for Arjun, at the end when both bishaps on same line close to each other,if Arjun put rookh in straight line then one bishap definitely gon that missed by Arjun.
Top on the board and made a small mistake. People are forgetting positivity and just want to remember only these mistakes. 2700 rating did not come over night. Hard luck Arjun. Come back with more strength.
That's why basics self rules must be prapared to avoid such basic mistakes.Rule to follow as both bishaps are alive King and rookh should never came diagonally in straight line of bishap.
Well played Arjun.. people here are criticizeing him who dont know a thing about chess... i bet they dont even saw the entire game or have enough ability to understand tha game LOOSERS... Arjun got outplayed in opening yet he managed to equalize the game which is not everyone's cup of tea....praying for your success in Grand swiss
First it was Gukesh at the Olympiad and now Arjun. The blunders towards the end at critical moments of the tournament by the young Indian players against Abdusattarov continues. Can't draw any conclusions from this as these are 2 independent events, but, just something that crossed my mind seeing this and Arjun's reaction was also similar to Gukesh's. Really heart braking moment. But, well played Arjun and credit to Nodirbek for hanging on till the end. Will see many more encounters in these rivalries for the future.
Not only young Indian players blunder against Abdusattorov. Carlsen blundered too in that notorious queen endgame when Uzbek teenager was just 17 y.o. ruclips.net/video/1rfrfSU8GWc/видео.htmlsi=h8zgYsKmWIC1z6Tr&t=976 That was very unexpected at the time
The indians are best at pressure handling You only have nodirbek And guess what Gukesh is probably becoming world champion and Arjun will qualify for next Candidates cannot say the same for lucky boy Nodirbek@@shuxratadamabyev3096
Heart breaking for Arjun. I am sure he will come out on top soon. These kind of mistakes can happen with anyone but I am sure he will learn a lot from this.
There is no second chance for a first impression. The rule is ..DO THE RIGHT THINGS RIGHT FIRST TIME EVERY TIME AND ALL TIME.Make no mistake. It was only a mistake but fatal.Arjun remains among the best players. He will make his mistake as an investment for the future..that's sure
Why did Arjun plays carelessly even though he has decent amount of time? He should have recorrect his move twice but we know it happens to everyone and soon he’ll become even more stronger 💪
These type of unique blunders (which you wouldn't even expect in blitz) come from the fatigue of classical chess. Strange things start to happen after hours of play, ghosts are seen, wrong positions are imagined - the chess term for this is a "hallucination". It's happened to everyone who has played a lot of classical chess before (including Nepo and Ding). It's really hard to explain to those who only play rapid and blitz.
thats unbelievable from a super Gm with 17+mnts remaining.. I was fearing hes going to move rook to that spot.. and it happened..when opponent have bishops the only thing you have to look for is forks forks forks...and why would he hurry to move into that!!
I thought such a childish blunders happens only to me. 17 minutes on clock too ...But it does not make me feel better next time when my opponent forks my pieces or takes my rook after discovered check from his queen. It still makes me sad
Look at nodirbek, he also feels the pain...at the end he wants to talk to arjun...great sportsmanship
Вы очень хорошо оценили данную сцену с психологической точки зрения
No not at all. He is extremely happy and he can’t wait to get out of Arjun’s sight so he can laugh and celebrate
Arjun is a good young man. It’s hard to digest this lost but it happens to everyone. You will be a Winner soon my boy. ❤
3:59 what a gentlemen Nodirbek.........the future of Chess.
A blunder like this at this level with that much time still on the clock is brutal
Bro's human after all, not engine!
It would be brutal even if he was 1500 FIDE
inexcusable
@@LynxyzHereYeah but that is too much
Bro don't judge people unless you are better than them
Arjun played really well throughout the tournament....in the mere future he will surely become one of the greats.....
Near future
Looks like people can't appreciate the performance till now. So people want to poke and talk only on haste decisions.
No way
He can, but only if he holds his nerves in the final moments

The sportsmanship from Arjun is so nice to see. He blunders, writes the move and respectfully resigns. That one move cost him the Tournament win bruh.
Nodirbek Abdusattorov is so humble and down to earth that cant be measured..
He not humble. He cocky. Look at his demeanor. Staring people down look a hawk
If he’s humble I’m a super model
@@cryptoparker224 it's not exactly staring. But making observation if your opponent is alright.

Nice joke 😂😂😂😂
Remember when Gukesh blundered a knight in the Chennai Olympiad ? that was against Nodirbek as well !
I have seen Arjun’s interview he is very humble and nice guy. Best of luck to Arjun!
Nodirbek is a mental monster..But he has great respect for Arjun. He said sorry for the loss.
Congrats both❤😂
Absolutely heartbreaking. Superb tournament by Arjun, he should be very proud! Damn, idk whats up with our juniors blundering completely drawn positions to Abdusattorov lol
03:42 The short head shake of Nodirbek after the handshake is body language for feeling sorry for his opponent
He almost cried. I haven't seen him emotional yet.

From Qatar 2023 to Qatar 2024... Erigaisi came a long way.

Arjun played so strong in the entire tournament (also in this match) 💪 Let's Go Arjun
Firouja, Pragg, guki, abusattarov will be the next gen title contender
This dude Abdusatarov does some hypnotism with those stares costed Gukesh and Arjun match in finals.

Great Nodirbek Abdusattorov
That's a remarkable blunder for a player as talented as he is.
Imagine him playing nearly flawlessly for over a hundred moves then for this to occur. Shocking as it is heartbreaking
Happens to everyone even magnus has made shockingly stupid blunders

Same mistake done by Gukesh vs. Nodirbek before, Qb6+ and the Knight is gone!
Nodirbek knows how to beat Gukesh, Arjun, Nihal et al by just messing with their minds no matter what happens on the board.
I mean yeah thats so true but he is allowed to just stare at them🤷♂️
Its in situations like these that Pragg shows an iron nerve.
He also knows how to beat Abdusattorov well
Any player could've drawn this game. It was just that one bad moment.
I am also fan of pragg.. But still he crumbled against carlsen in the worldcup tie breaker. He is definitely there but not completely yet

U mean Rc2?After that white will give bb4+ and after king moves he will move his light square bishop

I think sometimes people has tendency to lost again against the same opponent. Maybe psychological effect
as sagar says two bishops are monster
I play like a super GM.
why couldn't he have done Rc2, when the bishop pairs were on c3 and c4
Surely Rc2 would have been better move, but it still would be draw because white will check next, white will not lose a bishop here.
At least the position is more lost than drawn parctically.
Heartbreaking.
