I got this bike for my kid, and was very excited... but it turned out to be a big disappointment! It's a pretty sweet BMX bike, but how many 4-year-olds did they test this bike on? At the end of the day, how many kids actually enjoying riding it? This bike wasn't designed for children. It's designed for adults, shrunk down to kid size.

I don’t know how many tested it because I don’t own Fitbikeco but other brands bikes don’t have a comfortable seat and a brake lever that they can reach. Try giving your son more practice

      That's the point.

@@Stackedbmx I'm sure there are some amazing kids who can tear on this bike... but here's my point: the bike weighs 19 lbs and my kid weighs 38 lbs. That's like me riding a bike that weighs 85 lbs. My cargo bike weighs that much, and it's a very different experience. The other problem is that the brake is ineffective because the lever is smaller (less mechanical advantage) and the wheel is only 14 inches (again, less mechanical advantage) on a bike that weighs proportionally much more (compared to the rider's weight) than the typical bmx bike.

@@sylvancambier4723 The brake isn't ineffective because it's smaller. The idea is to have a brake lever that fits their hand size. A longer lever does provide more leverage but their hands are unable to use a longer lever. Make sure your brake is adjusted properly and give him some more seat time. We have switched to a single rear brake without the gyro and it is way less problematic. My son started riding his at 3 years old and just turned 5 the other day. He has really grown into the bike. If you don't want a bike with a 14in wheel, you shouldn't be considering this bike.
