Ahh... Qwixx, a super little game. It's got a lot going for it: easy to teach, quick, all players involved at all times... the only downside, as you pointed out, is that nasty little pad of scoresheets, but the laminator can sort that out. Bandido is one that the jury's still out on for me. I've played it a few times on BGA, but I have to say, so far it hasn't really win me over. Ohanami is a game I've heard of, but never seen, so I can't really say very much about it. Yet another excellent video from GLAM Studios. Looking over your shoulder, and I see "Diamonds" sitting on your shelves. That's one game I seriously want to get, but so far it has managed to elude me, but I'll get it yet!
Qwixx is delightful! And sadly, in the period since I first created this video both Bandido and Ohanami are out of print and more difficult to find. Bandido is not great in a digital format. I've tried the app version and I'm not a fan. Half the fun is spreading cards all over the floor as you try to puzzle out how to close all the exits. And I've only gotten to play Diamonds a few times but I would say it's a must if you're a Hearts and/or Spades fan. I grew up on all the classic card games and this one feels like coming home!
One thing I noticed and thought I’d share only if it helps - since you often have announcements posted about your videos before they are available to watch, I realized it has trained my brain not to click on a post from you, since it’s usually not available to watch. I think it’s accidentally keeping me from clicking even when your vids are available.
Oh interesting! I post them as premieres because otherwise if I upload them to go live at a certain date and time the video is marked private until then and I think that's sort of weird also. Ideally it would just pop into existence at the scheduled date and time. They go live at 7AM my time and I'm definitely up by then ... maybe I just experiment with uploading them the morning I want them to air. Thanks for the feedback!
