Great selection, Naffy! I wanted to get the Poet’s Wife as well when I went to the David Austin Rose Garden. I love the bright yellow colour.☺️ Eustacia Vye is so beautiful as well and the fragrance is lovely.🥰💕🌹

I enjoyed watching you open the boxes. I have been wondering as to how the David Austin roses would be shipped. It’s expensive to have them shipped to Canada from US but I might bite the bullet and order some next summer. The choices you made sounds excellent, I would love some strong fragrance in roses too. Have fun!

Thanks for watching and I'm glad you enjoyed watching the unboxing. I also would like more roses, space permitting but I decided to wait until the autumn and get them as bare roots which are slightly less dear 😊.

Thank you so much for showing your potted roses. I’ve been trying to decide between barefoot or potted roses. I think I will order the potted ones since they already have buds. 😊

You are so welcome! Depending on your climate, you might have to wait till late spring or early summer to receive well rooted container roses which have buds on them. Enjoy selecting the roses you adore 😊.

Thank you for showing us what can go in a bit of shade, just curious what is your zone that you are planting these in a container. I would like to do that if I could but not sure they would survive the Canadian winter I am in Zone 6b

Thanks for watching and commenting. I am in USDA 8b equivalent. Winter is particularly mild this year 🤞🏾. I have not moved my potted roses or offered any additional protection. But the plants are hardy for my zone and the pots are sold as frost proof 😊.

Hey Naffy :) a year on from this how are these roses doing? I too have a North facing garden and eustacia vie doesn't perform very well for me at all :( I'm just wondering if you have found the same and if the poets wife is better?

How have these held up since last year? Also, aside form being shade-friendly, what made you choose these specific roses? I'm currently debating between Eustacia Vye and Olivia Rose Austin and I just cannot make up my mind.
