I’m so happy I got to see two I’ve ordered on here! Getting my first 3 DA roses this year and I ordered Desdemona, Queen of Sweden and Scepter’d Isle. They will all be in the same bed I think. Anxious to see how they do since I have no experience with English roses.

A lovely collection of roses. I like Bathsheba and Golden Celebration too, but I would have to put the Ancient Mariner top of the list of those you chose. My Ancient Mariner is one of my older shrubs and its display last year was magnificent. However, my current favourite is not on your list, it's Desdemona. I planted a bare root Desdemona last year which grew to about 4 foot tall and flowered prolifically with a good fragrance, and I must confess that I found it mesmerising - I just sat for minutes on end staring at its luminous white blooms against its dark foliage. Even though I have a smallish garden with limited planting space I have bought another Desdemona bare root this year. I was also impressed by Gabriel Oak, Lady of Shalott and Eustacia Vye which have all flowered well for me.

Hi, you have beautiful roses. My favourite english rose is Olivia. The reason is its beautiful flowers, high disease resistance, persistent blooming and dense bush. The seccond one is Silas Marner, which has beautiful subtle flowers, really rich blooming and original scent. The third place is Princess Anne, which has unique color of petals and also very rich blooming.
    Greetings from Poland!

Unfortunately, I did not think of doing a video on our drip system. We used a lot this year and it helped immensely because of the amount of plants we have. I will have to put that down on my list of to do next year. Thanks for watching! 😊

    • @TeodoraTheFlowerLady

I think that whichever ones you buy will be fine. They all have their own challenges and "personality" but you learn to care for them. I just picked what looked beautiful to me when I first bought my first DA rose. Best wishes! Thank you for watching!

@@TeodoraTheFlowerLady Thank you for uploading these videos. Love them ! It's always such a treat to enjoy them even through just watching.
I almost can smell them ❤️
My Batsheba died. Replaced her with Crowned Princess Margareta. Everyone says that CPM is a much more prolific bloomer, more disease resistant and has stronger scent. She is also zone 4 hardy which is a huge plus.
Love your Scepter'd Isle, Lichfield Angel and Golden Celebration. Have all of them too !
Suprized you don't have Gertrude Jeckyl. She is the most loved DA in a world and most scented.
      Thank you again 💓

@@violettawlodkowska4190 hi, i've got CPM. It is not my favourite english rose because in the second part of summer this rose sprouts with really long shoots, which makes bush look shapelessly. Tbh, the scent is not as strong as it usually is with english roses. but bush is not catching diseases during whole season.
      Greetings!

Hi. I been watching all of your videos because I plan on biying them for my new house. I am in southern California. I believe its zone 10. Out of this 10 list, which bloom shatters the most? Or last longer in vase? I heard queen of Sweden and Desmona shatters so easily so I removed it from my list. (Yes they are beautiful) but I mainly like having these flowers is for cut flower. I love having flower in vase.
