1. Olivia Rose 2. Ancient Mariner 3. Princess Alexandra of kent 4. The Alnwick Rose 5. Scepter'd isle 6. Carding Mill 7. Boscobel 8. The Pilgrim 9. Golden Celebration 10. Graham Thomas
The L in Alnwick is not pronounced locally in Alnwick. It's pronounced Annick. I like Boscobel for its hardiness, fragrance and prolific blooming. I also like some roses no longer sold by David Austin, Brother Cadfael and Abraham Darby..
my favourite rose is elina also deep secret and claire austin and alister stella grey as a climber Pascali is also lovely and Graham Thomas as a well as Irish eyes. Liam Burke
Carding Mill, Boscobel, Scepter'd Isle, Ancient Mariner, Darcey Bussell. They last about 3 days in vase. The trick is to pick them in the morning when it is cool. Be sure to pick them young and not over-the-hill.
My favorite is Wollerton Old Hall. The blooms last a long time and are very beautiful. I have very cold winters and hot, dry summers. So some of these roses don't do very well. Your roses look beautiful!
I love it too! We visited the Kew gardens in London last year and Lady of Shallot was the star rose. So beautiful. I was do impressed I bought one for my garden in Canada when I got home.
My favorites are 1. William Shakespeare 2000, 2. Munstead Wood, 3. Golden Celebration, 4. Heathcliff, 5. Boscobel, 6. Jubilee Celebration, 7. Princess Alexandra of Kent, 8. Gabriel Oak, 9. Crown Princess Margareta, and 10. Charlotte.
@@TeodoraTheFlowerLady I now have 8 DA roses and your channel got me going last year so kudos to Teodora! My 2nd fav in my garden (zone 6 USA) is Scepter D'Isle. It is a fast grower, hardy, beautiful, and fragrant. I also have an older Tess of the d'Urbervilles that is my favorite cut rose. And finally my dearest #1 favorite is Jude the Obscure. I shall continue to follow you. Keep the videos coming!
Very impressive…I have most of the Roses you have also…and I am surprised that you consider GT or GC with a light Fragrance…at my Place the have next to Evelyn and Jubilee Celebration the strongest Fragrance… My Favourite would be the Ancient Mariner…❤❤
From your garden, Scepter d'Isle attracts me the most. My favourite Austins include St. Swithun (the most exquisite flower form & bubblegum-myrrh fragrance), Jude the Obscure (deep cup form & fruity fragrance), William Shakespeare 2000 & Munstead Wood (color depth & fragrance). Sad that a good number of these oldies are being phased out of market, but I do see that the newer DA's are improved in architecture, sturdiness and stem strength in holding up the flowers. I was never a big fan of droopy necks on Austin roses. The shrubs themselves (with the exception of only a handful) were unattractive as compared to other shrub roses, not to menton their lack of cane hardiness in cold northern areas. Regardless, I'm happy to see some improvements in the newer DA introductions. You must be able to fall in love with the shrub first before any flowers.
Olivia rose Austin is my most prolific rose, even in year 1 she never went out of bloom even in the hottest part of summer, I did notice some lull in Eustaisa Vye.
All roses are beautiful 😃, such plump bushes, they are not blooming for me yet, greetings. Scepter d'Isle looks beautiful, Oliwia is also so delicate, subtle, beautiful...
My favourite David Austin roses are 1. Emily Bronte (I adore the beauty and the scent) 2. Roald Dahl (free-flowering3. Jubilee Celebration ( The vintage beauty and fragrance)4. Gentle Hermione ( the translucent beauty , highly fragrant as well) 5. Princess Alexandra of Kent ( the deeply cup shape and the color) 6.Munstead Wood ( stunning deep red color) 7. Darcy Bussell ( i like roses with dark red colour :) ) 8. Mortimer Sackler ( almost thornless climber and free-flowering) 9. Generous Gardener ( gorgeous look and scent) 10. Constance Spry ( my first ever rose ( I was just struck with the beauty but it`s once flowering, hence it`s on my top 10). ❤
Hello! Please tell me, do your roses all grow in full sun or partial shade and how are they doing - hybrid tea Pretty Lady and David Austin roses? Thank you!
How do you care for diseases with that many roses? My favorite is The Poet’s wife… Thanks for sharing. Please make a video of preventing diseases on roses. Much love.
Thank you for your video! My Golden Celebration just preparing to the bloom. :) It was planted last autumn. This spring I also planted Heritage and Tranquility. Can't wait for the flowers! They all are so beautiful!
I’m in UK and we both get different David Austin Roses , sometimes there’s a name change or something is discontinued due to English weather, maybe it’s black spot which hotter temperatures don’t suffer from in some US states . ❤
I have grown Heritage and Fair Bianca... beautiful flowers and divine scent. I am in zone 3, Edmonton Alberta Canada. Unfortunately they didn't survive, but I enjoyed having them in my yard for a few years.
Have you ever heard of the old movie from the 1940’s called “Mrs. Miniver”? I loved it. A rose was named after her called the Miniver Rose. My favorite movie.
Hi! I love your garden. It is wonderful! I'm just starting my adventure with roses and I hope that one day my garden will be at least half as good as yours! How big is your flowerbed at the beginning of the video and how many roses did you plant in it? Best regards from Poland
I don't have a fave but do like the yellows, the whites, the very pale pinks w. no blue or purple in the colour compilation of the blooms. And would love to own some of the mossy roses & the ones with the very decorative thorns that Jason showed us on his Frazer Valley Rose Farms channel. I'm trying to memorize all of his historical background info regarding rose culture. You have some really full & large blooms...lovely to see. Thanks for sharing.
I'm familiar with Frazer Valley Rose Farms channel. I have watched some of their videos in the past. I think that one of my inspiration for starting a garden channel is Laura from Garden Answers. She has some beautiful roses as well. Thank you for watching!
Great choices! I’m not familiar with Sophy’s rose. I looked it up. It looks a bit like Darcey Bussell but more on the pink side. Thank you for sharing and for watching! 🌹
All of them are so gorgeous and beautiful! I love them all! I love flowers a lot and though still trying to remember the names. Thanks for sharing, I'm learning from you. You have a new subscriber here. Stay connected please.
@@TeodoraTheFlowerLady I do. Just started my own channel on flower arrangement and love to see beautiful flowers myself! Thanks for teaching the names of all the roses👍🏼
Thanks for sharing these amazing roses. I have couple of them but they are not growing very well by disease in my area. May I know which plant hardiness zone are you in? Thanks!
Yes, I’ve had several of these roses in a pot before I transplanted them into the ground. At some point they’re going to need bigger and bigger space as they grow though. Thank you for watching! 🌸
Magnificent garden!!!! I have Graham Thomas, however mine is very fragrant. Love all of your roses, I feel your pain, it would definitely be difficult to rank my David Austin roses!

Golden Celebration was the only DA rose I've had that didn't thrive. P.s, Alnwick is pronounced Annick.

Boscobel, I love the shape and the color. I think I"d grow it in a pot on top of a stand of some kind because the flowers tend to face downward.
Number 4 the Alnwick rose. But all of them are just gorgeous.
