I find working the land and the garden to be very calming and soothing. To enjoy the living things that God has given us to look after is the highest honor.
What are your guys' thoughts on being a follower of Christ who has a lot of money. I want to have a lot of kids when I'm older so im trying to enter a lucrative career (finance) but at the same time I am a bit conflicted about only working for money and not doing an actual job like creating a medicine. I don't worship money and I'm not rich right now but I still think it's okay to go after a high paying career knowing that I don't car about things like super cars or other materialistic things. Do you guys have any thoughts?
That stuff isn’t bad at all, I too someday want to be able to provide for a wife and kids, as I think every man should. Just don’t get too wrapped up in that stuff, and remember literally everything you have is a gift from God, and that at the end of the day he will provide for you. It’s a good thing to want to work, the Bible condemns laziness and tells us to work and that we should provide for others, just don’t let it become an idol. Remember that you can also use whatever job you take as an opportunity to glorify God through it.
Teach your children when you have them to understand they have what many others do not. People who are financially stable generally have time to donate there time and skills to the benefits of charitable organizations or even the church. Making yourself into a very wealthy person is fine if you utilize your wealth for the benefit of others and don’t use others immorally to achieve that wealth. The simple answer is always to live a humble and content life imo but I’m not exactly a herald of the word just a student.
I can't give financial advice, but my church did just do a sermon series on money, and one of the biggest points brought up was that all money belongs to God, we are just the managers, and we are called to leverage money towards the glory of God.

We must use our talents to glorify God. Everyone has different talents but we will always be evangelizing in a more broad sense of the word.
