Thank you for sharing. I am working on being a Voice Actor and I want to read stories. From what you stated. I should do fiction for the characters. I am in my 30s and sound like a teenager so I need to get to know my voice. I also have a passion for this so I don't mind playing any character or even doing any voice work.
At first try everything to discover what you enjoy and what may be a good fit for your voice. Don't limit yourself. Audition for all kinds of genres and eventually you'll discover what you enjoy the most and what you fit the best.
I was always told i sound passionate or I sound like I know what I’m talking about and they’re like we would listen to you all day and I don’t know what that means really
@@hoddy1368 you must have a soothing voice. My husband isn't a narrator but sometimes when I can't sleep I ask him to please read anything outloud because to me his voice is very soothing. 🙂
Just came across your RUclips and boy howdy am I impressed! It took me eight months of working a fast food job until I realized I could get into narration after being told on numerous occasions that I had the voice for it. Heck, just watching this video makes me feel that I'm on the right track. Thank you, Angela!
Angela what holds me back from jumping in is the fear of eq, compression, processing. I have many voices and a audio engineer student, the most talented person I know and the least successful. Please save us because I believe it's a lot of us like that spread under the radar
I've just come across your video on RUclips, you ooze enthusiasm and inner confidence...... I'm currently recording the first 100 pages of the Great Gatsby, For a er.... "client"?..however, I am 95% certain it's scam and I won't get paid 🤦🏼🤷🏼🤣 ...im not gonna drop the file till payment is clarified better ...its the chicken n egg sitiation ,but hey!, it's great practice I've always been known- since I was young ,for my variety of voices I constantly throw around . So I think this may be the thing I've been looking for, working through the minefield of it all is the hard part, as it is with all genres. But thank you, for being you, because you, is awesome chickadee 💯
Aaww. Thank you. You keep going and keep working at it. Choose to make every experience, good or bad, a learning experience. And keep in touch! I love to hear people's progress
