@@EQOAnostalgiayou should read Samuel, to learn about what God thinks of Israel when the people wanted a new King because Samuel had appointed his sons as judges whom failed in their duties. God founded his church with Peter, and we have had Popes from him. God has not decreed to leave that Headship. Hold fast to the Rock and have faith that all is part of Gods plan.

@@HeWhoEatsCereal in Matthew 16:18 God say he will build the church on the rock of Jesus, not Peter. The verse is taken out of context if it is interpreted as Peter being the rock. The keys of heaven refers to all Christians, he was just talking to specifically Peter when he said it. It is referring to how our will reflects God's. And could you please elaborate on what Samuel speaks of?

In Romans 5:3-5 Paul wrote "Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope."
