Hi Laura! Turns out some of the metal ones work the same!!! I just got a press from KAMsnaps to test out other metal ones too. I will post a video once I become comfortable with them myself :) Happy Sewing!
Going to get these because I'm going to make the snap straps for pacifiers and teethers since the grandson lives watching Grandma bend over and run to the kitchen picking up the pacifiers and teachers he repeatedly throws on the floor and laughs. Muahaha grandma is going to win this battle! 😂
Thanks a lot for your video. The pointy park is not breaking on mine when I squeeze it with the pliers. So the buttons can not click. Idk what I'm doing wrong.
Hi Serena, the pointy piece will not break. It actually gets squished and by doing so it will hold the button into place. Perhaps you need to Squeeze the pliers harder? Hope this helps!
Thanks for the explanation but I’m still having some issues and not all the snaps are secure. I’m not sure if the part the smashes to secure is not smashing in the right place. Any ideas. Lol sorry don’t know what the parts are called. BTW, love you tutorials.
Hi Maria, I’m sorry to hear of your frustration. I am not sure what is going wrong for you. Are you using the awl to make a hole first? After that I just make sure the button head fits nicely in the holder and I squeeze as tight as I can. I wish I could guide you further! One more suggestion is to practice on scrap fabric until you feel like you are getting it right. I’m so glad to hear you enjoy my tutorials ☺️ I love making them! Happy sewing!!!
The pokey tool is an awl. Thanks for this video!
Thank you Christine! That is super helpful lol!
Explanation is much better than others I have reviewed
The pointy object is an awl ..nice video btw..the down side is they only work if the snap is near the edge of your project
Love using plastic snaps ❤ wish I could master metal ones 😅
