This is brilliant. 😍 Would love the same video for drilling on a drill press. My vise doesn't have the pins and it makes it really hard to pivot the briar without messing up the orientation.
I can make a video for drilling the briar it on the drill press. I made pipes with a drill press and a drill vice press for years before getting my metal lathe.
Hi Phillip. I hope you're doing good. I was squeezing in a little pipe time on my lunch today. Working out of the house with all the snow we got last night.
I'm glad you found it helpful! You'd be surprised how many ask for my templates. Nothing wrong in asking, but creating templates for me is part of learning and getting better at pipe making.
@@kraigseder Lol at those dudes. Hopefully that's the extent of the ridiculous requests but I now wouldn't be surprised to hear people also asking for free pipes.
Yes, this is unavoidable but it's covered by the stem face by the tenon. When a shank accent is used it's covered a bit while the stem is out, but with accent or without it's ever visible with the stem on.
Hi Noah. They have a new model. I'm planning on getting the new one pretty soon. You can buy them at RawKrafted.com. rawkrafted.com/yu-xuanjie-mini-briar-chuck-mark-3-two-jaw-self-centering-with-pins/

Hanging out with ya buddy while I work on pipes. 🙏👍

This is very, very helpful! And yeah, I hope no one is asking for your templates 😆

Do you have any videos of you doing this process?
Hi Kraig, after drilling the draft hole on bent pipes, do you ever have part of that hole showing on the shoulder below the tenon? Thanks....

Does your briar chuck still happen to be in production, and if so could you tell us which one it is?
