  • We finally upgraded Kev's clutch before it completely went out on him. We went with the MCLEOD RXT 1200 to give us plenty of room for growth with his already boosted coyote. I will have a detailed guide on the complete removal and installation of the MT-82 transmission coming out soon!

    I bought this RXT1200 clutch for my GT500 5.8L 2013, but the slave cylinder doesnt work, it burst,, it’s a OEM new one, do I need a different one for this clutch?

      You need a billet slave like Tilton or McLeod

    Thanks for the vid! About how long did it take to complete the job? I have a 13 Boss 302 that I'm planning to install the RST clutch in. Fortunate to have access to a lift, so that should make it a tad easier. 😎. Look forward to seeing your MT82 removal and install guide

      Having a full lift definitely makes the job easier, I would carve out at least 1-2 days for the complete removal and install. The complete guide is out now. As long as you stay organized and don’t mind scratching your hands up a bit, you should have no issues. Best of luck.

    I see some drilled holes on the flywheel -- did it come balanced or did you have to take it to a machine shop?

      During the install process you shouldn’t have to do anything not mentioned in the video. What you see in the video is how the clutch comes, hope this helped.

    Does it help to prevent the lock when changing at high rpm ?

    • @AlphaX13
      @AlphaX13  Год назад +1

      There could be a few different reasons you're having lock-out issues at higher RPM, but the clutch wouldn't be the first thing I try to change unless you have an excessive amount of miles on it. Upgrading your clutch line is cheaper and significantly easier, which is what I would try first along with flushing the brake fluid. If you're still running the stock shifter, it may be beneficial to look at upgrading that as well. I do have a video out comparing a few popular short-throw shifters. Of course, this is just what I would do, and I'm just offering my opinion. Hope I could help!

      @@AlphaX13 hi thanks for feedback actually i was very confused what I should pick auto or manual but even with all these red flags 🚩 I will go with the manual. And I will keep in mind all your steps .
