Wow, did not no she covered this song before.. thank you guys ! Xmas day already underway here in New Zealand, so on behalf of your ever increasing fan base 'down under ' MERRY CHRISTMAS !
@@gabrielledormuth4634 thanks Gabrielle ! good to me ? well.. I might get my wife to have a chat to 'Santa' because the fishing rod never eventuated, but the new crockery set was a surprise !
This is one of the most unique versions of this song I have ever heard. I agree with Amber that we were blessed to experience her voice and that technology will ensure that future generations will be able to experience it as well. Sadly in most cases an audio recording generally can't compare with a live concert experience. Much like watching sports on tv versus actually sitting in the stadium for the game. Great work both of you and the studio looks amazing. Can't wait to see the tour. Merry Christmas!
Thank You, Thank You, Thank You!!!!! So glad you guys did this, She also does this Acapella, and it's a TOTAL Banger!!!! I knew you would love this though!!!!Merry Christmas!!!!!
I am SO going to miss you guys covering Christmas tunes !! They have been the highlight of my day ! Merry Christmas Rob Squad !! Lot's of love and blessings to you all !!
I was never not a fan of this song until I heard Amy Cover It. I wanted to find a Christmas song by her so that I could add her to my Christmas song. . I loved Amy since I heard her voice in 2007 and my heart was broken when she died. RIP Amy
Hey Rob Squad family, I’m wishing all of you a beautiful Christmas Day. May the kids get everything they asked for. I’m sure they will. Every time I saw them on a video, they were all so well behaved. That’s because of you mom & dad. You put in the time with them, & it certainly paid off. Hoping your day tomorrow, is filled with nothing but joy!!❤️
Few singers can take a song & completely give it their own style in a way that works. Amy Winehouse did that with this song. I think y'all would also like Samantha Fish. She's got that old school bluesy voice & plays guitar like you wouldn't believe. Her songs "Chills & Fever", "Either Way I Lose", ""It's Your Voodoo Working" , "No Angels" & "Somebody's Always Trying" are good ones to start with.
The first time I heard Amy Winehouse was a video I found online and it almost made me cry. First, because her voice and her throwback bluesy style was so unexpected and beautiful. But second, because she was already gone by the time I first heard her sing and I mourned the loss of such a talent so young. The song was, “I Love You More than You’ll Ever Know”. It’s still the best song I’ve heard her sing. I think I can safely predict it will be your new favorite too. Here’s a link: ruclips.net/video/362JArvhAqg/видео.html What she says as she ends the performance and is leaving the stage was all the more poignant knowing she was already gone by the time I heard it. 😢
For Female Friday: Ronnie Spector - ‘Be My Baby’ Bette Midler - ‘From a Distance’ Toni Braxton - ‘Un-Break My Heart’ Whitney Houston - I Have Nothing’ Roberta Flack - ‘First Time Ever I Saw Your Face’ Other notables: Christopher Cross - ‘Sailing,’ Kayne Brown - ‘Worship You,’ Kool and The Gang - ‘Celebration,’ Dan Fogelberg - ‘Same Old Lang Syne’ Luther Vandross - ‘Dance With My Father’
Amy did a concert In a tiny church/concert in IRELAND 🇮🇪 If you can find it it fantastic, I mean it was a studio 🎙 tiny about 30 people have a look for it, every group wanted to play there 😀
Seconded, and the interview she did to go with it was one of the best. The guy interviewing her was a serious music journalist who actually wanted to talk about MUSIC instead of her personal dramas, and when she realised that, she relaxed and opened up and it was lovely.
@@MrHws5mp I have that on CD, it`s part of a collection called Amy Winehouse at the BBC which includes a lot of her best performances and that program called Arena: Amy Winehouse-The Day She Came to Dingle ( the village in Ireland ) she performs in front of the tiniest audience, that I would murder to have been a part of, with just two accompanying musicians and it is probably the best of Amy ever captured on film. The collection includes many amazing performances including her performance of Don`t Go To Strangers with Jools Holland and Paul Weller. This collection is the only reason I sting cling to my old CD player, though , thankfully somebody did upload this program to YT. you just need to search for Amy/Dingle and you`ll see a version that lasts a little less than an hour and that`s the one you want to see it`s the full program and of excellent quality with all the songs and interview by people who were involved, definitely worth watching if you like Amy.
Got the GOOSEBUMPS WITH THE FIRST LINE!! ❤🌟❤🌟❤ MERRY CHRISTMAS 🎄 🌟 🎄 FROM BONNIE SCOTLAND ITS AFTER MIDNIGHT HERE, GOD BLESS YOU AN HAVE A LOVELY DAY WITH YOUR LOVELY FAMILY 👪
The Jackson 5 version of I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa is the best one that I have heard. Because Micheal was little when he sang this song with his brothers. And you guys will love it as well. Check them out.
As much as you are being introduced to new music, you do the same for some of us as well. I absolutely adore Amy Winehouse, and the heart and soul that she brings to every song. This though is one that I had never heard, and thank you for bringing this to my attention. There are so many more wonderful songs of hers that I can't wait for you to hear.
You know Jay there is nothing wrong if a certain artist draws some emotions from hearing their voice. I never paid enough attention to Amy but Janis I know. Very powerful voices. Both. I think the woman that does it for me is Amy Lee.
So true, I wish there was a time machine to go and see her in concert. To those of you who got to see her live, you have no idea how blessed you were!!!
Beautiful, her voice was amazing. For anyone in the UK there's a brilliant new Amy Winehouse exhibition on at the Design Museum in London, it's excellent, go if you can.
A once in a generation talent. At the outset of becoming a DJ I remember hearing and seeing her doing the jazz pub and club circuit of London and thinking to myself way back then.....this here is something real special. So very very sad she was taken away way too soon.
This is amazing if only because it is a standard American Christmas song that was nearly unknown to most Brits for a long time. It goes back to the early 1950s when a boy sang it. Forgot his name. Michael Jackson also covered it in the 1970s
Adele may have the sales, but Amy has got the status. A once in a lifetime talent, she left far too early. Her tiny back catalog is now cast in stone. I hope she is up there singing with Frank, Billie, and Donny wherever she is now.
back to black is the most selling female of the 2000s because of their deluxe version (34.4 Millions sales) and the 2nd most selling female album in the UK, she has pretty good sales with only 2 albums
Female Friday!! Amy was great, but... Once again it's time to shout out to anyone who will listen about the AWESOME rock music of the first all female rock band to cut albums for a major label!! Their name was Fanny and they kicked ass! Don't just take my word for it... here is what David Bowie had to say about them... "One of the most important female bands in American rock has been buried without a trace. And that is Fanny. They were one of the finest... rock bands of their time, in about 1973. They were extraordinary... they're as important as anybody else who's ever been, ever; it just wasn't their time. Revivify Fanny. And I will feel that my work is done." To that I say...'Revivify Fanny and I will know that my work of spamming your page with this request every Friday is done.' LOL Seriously, Fanny deserve the recognition for blazing the trail that the heroes of most current female rockers were only following. Check out, Place In the Country or Blind Alley, you WILL NOT be sorry!!
Jimmy Boyd - at 13 years old, wrote and performed this song. His version is country style. You guys would appreciate seeing John Mellencamp play this son on stage when he had long hair and was a teenager....
There is an acoustic version of Amy singing “Black to Black” that would have Jordan under the desk. What y’all have heard so far is just a FRACTION of what she could really do. I’m telling y’all she sang her face off. There’s a video of it on RUclips, y’all don’t even need to react to it. I just think you need it in you life lol
I remember Amy from primary school (same class as my son). She was singing and writing songs at 8 years of age! No one has arrived on to the scene who can touch her talent (not even Adele)
Prime example of the difference between doing a song young, yet talented, and doing it older, still talented, if not more so, but now experienced, is the Great Lena Horne's Stormy Weather. She sang the sh** out of it in her 20s, and blows all the doors off again and again as she got older
And of course you may feel emotions from hearing Amy Winehouse or Janis Joplin. Their voices while forever immortalized with recording were unfortunately taken at young ages.
Love this. Love watching you guys so much, just need more quality artists! I look for your new ones but honestly it’s a long time now between watching your videos
So I've searched and seen you've covered Ella, and she is lovely, obviously, but I've not seen Billie. I fell in love with her when I first heard her. You hear the first note and it can't be anyone else. And if you love Amy... well Billie Holiday did it first but she did Billie and Amy did Amy. Both had tragic lives. Sad that needs to be there to drip through the art but the voices are glorious, indivudual and raw. Strange Fruir is a must but hard so maybe go for My Man first. Once you get in there you will realise how much there is but perhaps not as much on RUclips. She was earlier than that and the majority will be recordings.
What a change to hear her sing a Christmas song doing it her way. Had not heard her do this before, love it.
Amy Winehouse was a treasure. Such undeniable talent.
God, she was so special. Hits me straight in my heart with her gorgeous voice. RIP beautiful angel girl.
Wow, did not no she covered this song before.. thank you guys ! Xmas day already underway here in New Zealand, so on behalf of your ever increasing fan base 'down under ' MERRY CHRISTMAS !

I’m glad we cried together. I love Amy so much and y’all’s appreciation for Amy is everything. ❤
Amazing! Her acoustic cover of WILL YOU STILL LOVE ME TOMORROW is Pure Fire!!!
That is such a good pick, Will you still love me tomorrow is just beautiful .
Nostalgically soulful, raw, and haunting all at the same time. Brilliant vocals. 🤗
What a powerful voice, she was so talented and had a voice that could blow you away.
Amy never fails to sound amazingly awesome EVERY TIME!
Everything by Amy Winehouse is a pleasure to listen so thank you and Merry Christmas to you and the RSF
You two are really cute. We love what you do, and we can feel your mutual love and respect for each other.

Never heard this before. So beautiful. Also, a big Amy fan.
no no one was same like Amy she was singing she's own songs, she composed her own music and played the piano

Merry Christmas to all the RS Family, and thanks once again for all the effort you two youngens put into making this a great channel.
Now.....That is different. But still great. She had an amazing voice. 👏 ❤🎁🎄☃️⛄🤶🧑🎄🎅

Her voice. Unlike other contemporary artists, no auto-tune needed. "Back To Black", is one of my favorite CD's. Merry Christmas. 🎄✌️

Ronnie Spector - ‘Be My Baby’

just perfection. There will never be another R.I.P.
