Christine, we enjoy your teaching videos, but the quarterly report video brings it all together. Please continue. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and talents. I especially like the detail of your videos. God bless 😊
These quarterly reports are a great reminder of the importance to track sales data and to complete careful marketing. Also are very encouraging to hear about your success! I hope you will continue them. Congratulations on such a great quarter!
Those snuggly bags look so cute, like a mini duffle bag. A well deserved winner! Please keep making these updates it's both interesting and useful information.
You motivate me! My son owns a furniture store, so I can get a lot of those upholstery samples. I enjoy making things to donate to our local senior citizen gift shop. You are giving me great ideas for using these samples! Thank you for what you do. You really are a good teacher.
Hi Christine. Recently my husband and I went on a trip and I needed some shoe bags. I had been using plastic bags, but found them unacceptable as the size was always wrong and I tended not to save them after my trips - a waste. So, I used your pattern and quickly sewed three of them. I used my ugliest fabric (I’m kind of a fabric hoarder) and I just loved them. I made them all the same size and the one for my husband’s shoes was a bit tight, but worked. They were quick and easy to make following your instructions. I plan on storing my shoes in them so I will need to make some more. You can hang them from hooks, the bags are breathable and they are ready for travel. One problem with that idea is that I can’t tell which shoes and in which bags. I need a tag. Do you have any ideas for a scrap buster bag/luggage tag with some of your clear vinyl? Thanks for your inspiration and clear and easy to follow instructions. Reba (Arizona)
Hi Reba, Brandi's idea of the clear window is what I would have suggested. I may even get to another video one of these days. For the longer shoes, you can just add a little extra to the length of the bag😀
Christine, I’m glad to see you are working smarter, not harder, to make more sales. I don’t sew to sell, but I find your stats fascinating. I imagine the lessons you have learned and share are very helpful to others who are in the same business. Thank you.
Thanks Elaine. I've learned so much over these past few years about how to get the best value of my time, and what items are better to sell. It's always so fascinating to see the results😁
Christine - It's always good to see your 1/4 sales total and well done on your #1 new product - I love that pale blue corduroy bag - no wonder it's your best seller 🥰
I enjoy seeing what sells best for you. I love those big bags you make especially the soft corduroy ones. I’d use them as an ordinary handbag to be honest. I do tend to carry everything including the kitchen sink lol. 😉👍👍
Those corduroy bags, are so nice. They look so soft. I can't really explain WHY, I am so fond of them, being what they are (Not that it's a bad thing). I think they would be really nice as a smushy pillow, or one of the neck rings for sleeping while sitting up. Keep up the quarterly, it's encouraging me to get up and sew. 😉
I love the quarterly updates. I find it interesting what sells and what doesn’t sell, coupled with what you actually like to make. Ands whilst I love the shopping bag…those little boxy bags are so versatile and can just about suit everyone in some way. And bonus….you can make less and make more money which is awesome. Can’t wait till next quarter to see if the momentum continues…fingers crossed it does 🤞
Good job Christine!! Yes! Keep making the videos. Also love hearing about products that you'll discontinue. Another benefit to making bigger items (besides bigger sale price) is you're using up more fabric! Win, win! Hugs from Nevada. Cathy❤
I just saw your post! ❤ Thank you for sharing. Who do you sell through other than Facebook? I knit and crochet. Would love to be able to sell some of my items. Thank you and have a wonderful day.❤
Thank you for taking the time to share, I think it’s really interesting to see what you have sold and how to update your makes. Really enjoyed. Thank you
Thanks Christine for this wonderful video and information! Please continue doing what you're doing! Your tutorials and knowledge is so important and useful for your followers. We all greatly appreciate everything you do! ❤
Hello Christine!! Glad that I stumbled upon one of your videos about stitching zippers to pouches and I got hooked on to your large n small handmade bags, totes, pouches etc. !! You are a wonderful seamstress and teacher !! Thanks for sharing your skills!!
This is the first of your vids I have ever seen. I’m so glad RUclips read my mind and put you in my feed. Your content is just what I need right now with income slowing and always wanting to start a side hustle that I can do from home. Keep posting you never know who’s a new subscriber!❤
Your hair looks almost exactly like mine! I was excited to see yours, it looks so nice , neat and clean. Mine is waist length, but it’s very thin. I need the length to wrap around my thin pony tail so it’s thicker at the base. I struggle with in about cutting off some of the length, but I remember how I struggled with it when it was shorter. Thank you for posting! My granddaughters all need something to do to earn extra money. I’m going to put you on the big screen TV so we can all watch it together.
Hi Christine! I have just found your channel today, I've watched 3 videos already, and I absolutely love this recap of the quarter! Thank you for sharing all of this, I'm inspired to get back to sewing, and would love to sell some products. Your work is beautiful. Thank you!
I truly love your "straight to the point" videos! I, too, have decided not to make anymore Helping Hands even though people do like & buy them - just too hard on these 76yo hands for what I can sell them for. And, yes, I also have a LOT of cd's I need to repurpose since I scored about 75 for $5 at a yard sale! I do a few craft shows & your quarterly top 10 reports are helpful to me even though I'm in the US. And I love the projects you post & especially the ones you do production-style since I like to save as much time as I can making things for my shows. Thank you for your generosity!
I loved seeing the items you've made. I especially like the corderoy bags. I've dabbled with making some bags but I always make a mistake and I'm not happy with them. The blouse you have on is lovely. I have some fabric like that and I'm planning on copying your blouse!
Please don't stop making your videos. They are very useful, informative and delighting. Keep up the great work and keeping us encouraged along the way 😊💯💯👏👏👍👍
This is a very helpful video. I studied privately for my years, and I was taught to always have “add on ticket items” by using scraps, and to state on the order form that designers retains all scraps. I was also taught to always have current time and motion studies (including time to order and unpack supplies orders) for two reasons: to correctly calculate my costs(including hourly rate) and then my profit, if any. Some add on ticket items had no profit margin so I usually set those aside as gifts for the customer, which became part of the advertising costs. The time and motion study helped very much for organizing the order of the steps, from unfolding the fabric to adding it to the bag/hanger,and also helped me to take a brief moment to jot down the order of steps so as to save time cutting and marking, back and forth to iron, clipping threads, changing the needle, etc. This also helped to have a concrete list of steps if my plan was to sew a portion of the project each day. Less tie trying to figure out what I had already done, what the pattern dictates etc. For patterns that iced multiple times, I kept the list of steps right in the clear bag with the rest of the pattern and samples with notes for tat pattern.
That's great information Patricia. The best thing I did back in the eighties when I was a trainee manager, was to do every course available to me. Especially the modules on "Time Management". This has really helped me to value my time over the years😁
Thanks Lori. I'm surprised by it every day. Between the handmade products and my alterations service, it has now become my main source of income in the shop😁
I enjoyed the video and you. Very interesting to see what you charge and what the public is actually buying. Thank you for the information. Have a Blessed day.
Hello. I really really love the large square duffel bag you make. Did you make that pattern up yourself? I’ve been trying to find a pattern or make one, but they don’t ever look as good as the one you made
Thanks Alice. Yes, I made it up from the fabric piece I had available at the time, but there are many of the same pattern around. Just in varying sizes and fabrics😁
I knew those mini duffel bags would be a hit! They are too cute. So glad to see they've been a success. Yes, please keep doing the quarterly and annual sales reports. The results are always different, so they are not repetitive. It is more of a rhyme than a repeat. Great content, as always!
Hi Christine, I don't make to sell, but it is interesting what you sell. It also gives a guide to what gifts would go down well, judging on what you've sold! (And one of the shoe bags came to me!)
Christine please keep doing them. My family are loving g the things you taught me. They say they are so professionally made. I need to get to grips with the boxed bags soon ❤❤
Hi there mam,im watching all the way from capetown in south Africa, i really enjoy your watching your videos. I also make bags and pegbags and scatter cushions. And i really enjoy doing so. Gr8 work you are so talentd. Enjoy and well done. God bless.
Have made lots of shopping bags and shoe bags as gifts - always well received! Thank you for your wonderful tutorials... Wondering if you have ever made a laptop bag from a pair of jeans? Would love to see a step by step to repurpose used demin that has lots of life left. You always have such great ideas, maybe there is hope for all those previously loved blue jeans. Thanks from Canada. 🍁
Thanks Leonie. I do plan on some tutorial with old jeans. I just haven't had any recently, and I don't think Chris would like me to cut into his just yet😀
👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽I do love seeing your sales totals. It gives me encouragement so when I start doing this full time this summer. Thank you for sharing your talents.

Thanks Kim. I'll keep them coming. These reports actually help me keep track of what I do😁
Those snuggly bags look so cute, like a mini duffle bag. A well deserved winner! Please keep making these updates it's both interesting and useful information.
Thank you! Will do!😀
You motivate me! My son owns a furniture store, so I can get a lot of those upholstery samples. I enjoy making things to donate to our local senior citizen gift shop. You are giving me great ideas for using these samples! Thank you for what you do. You really are a good teacher.
Thank you Marie. How exciting that you can get fabric from your son. You might even be able to sell some handmade items from there😁
Great sales for this quarter. Can you show us how to make a larger duffle bag like your number 1 project.. thanks Christine 😊
It's on my list to do soon Janet. It's a very popular request😀
Please don't stop! I love these videos and I am finding them really informative!
Thank you. I'll keep doing these ones😊

You could always put a little clear vinyl window in the bag so you can see what shoes are inside.
Hi Reba, Brandi's idea of the clear window is what I would have suggested. I may even get to another video one of these days. For the longer shoes, you can just add a little extra to the length of the bag😀
I click on your videos to see what you've come up with. I have so many I want to make but in the process of getting my sewing room actually set up.
It's very exciting setting up a new sewing space. Have fun with it Nita😀
Christine, I’m glad to see you are working smarter, not harder, to make more sales. I don’t sew to sell, but I find your stats fascinating. I imagine the lessons you have learned and share are very helpful to others who are in the same business. Thank you.

Thanks Lesley. I love that soft fabric so much. I found another stash similar today. You know what I'll be doing for the next couple of weeks😀
I enjoy seeing what sells best for you. I love those big bags you make especially the soft corduroy ones. I’d use them as an ordinary handbag to be honest. I do tend to carry everything including the kitchen sink lol. 😉👍👍
haha, they'd probably fit the sink too Christine😀
Those corduroy bags, are so nice. They look so soft. I can't really explain WHY, I am so fond of them, being what they are (Not that it's a bad thing). I feel the same. It's actually quite sad that they're almost sold out. It's such lovely fabric. 😀
I love watching these videos…it’s fun to see handmade things sell well!
Thank you Cheryl😁
I love the quarterly updates. I find it interesting what sells and what doesn’t sell, coupled with what you actually like to make. I enjoy watching your videos and how you explain pricing. 😊
Thanks so much Irene😊
Good job Christine!! Yes! Keep making the videos. Also love hearing about products that you'll discontinue.
Another benefit to making bigger items (besides bigger sale price) is you're using up more fabric! Win, win!
Hugs from Nevada.
Cathy❤
You're right Cathy. I have so much fabric to use up. The bigger projects are certainly helping with that😀
I just saw your post! ❤ Thank you for sharing. Who do you sell through other than Facebook? I knit and crochet. Would love to be able to sell some of my items. Thank you and have a wonderful day.❤
Sharon, I sell via my website, in my second hand store, and on Facebook. Occasionally I mught do a craft show too😁
You're delightful! Love your video and appreciate you telling how much your pieces sell for and instructions. Keep up the good work.
Thank you so much Marlene😀
I always enjoy your videos. So many people are afraid to share so many details but i appreciate that you do! Love it all.
Thanks so much Kesha😀
I like the bags that are at no 1 slot. I think they are fashionable and I don't like very square boxy bags. The softer lines are nice. 👌💐
I like those too Janice😁
Thank you for taking the time to share, I think it’s really interesting to see what you have sold and how to update your makes. Really enjoyed. Thank you
