@@TheFloatLife I have been struggling with this, wax seemed to help progress and then I found a granite (super scary slippery) curb, and I still struggle to ride off consistent but the slide is definitely there but fast and hard to control from the granite surface. This is basically the only type of curb I can slide though!! Geez Louise I am struggling with this one.
I would so much love to be able to set the turn around warning percent level. For long out and back rides, I have found turning around a 50% often won't get me back home. If there is a slight decline on the way out or headwind on the way back I won't make it. If I had to ability to set the warning at my own percentage that would be a great feature. For example one ride I often do I found I need to turn around at about 65% due to it being downhill most of the way out. Another flatter ride I need to turn around at 55%. Please consider adding that feature in the next update.
Super basic question: is it backside because you're rotating towards your backside as you get on the rail? I would think backside would be sliding along the rail with your back in the direction of travel, but you have the front of your body in the direction of travel. (Not a skateboarder, obviously.)
There's "rules" to these tricks that have been around for a long time from skating and snowboarding. This slide is backside as when you approach the object, it's on your backside. It can't be based on spin and body direction, as you don't always spin on for grinds. Google it and check it out 🤙
@@tl7485 slides / grinds are designated as f/s or b/s based on what side of your body faces the object as you roll up, spin moves are different - designated based on which side of your body turns to face the direction of travel
@@JakeLeary thank you for the clarification - i have been practicing and struggling with curbslides for a while now and i feel like i am lacking a bit of the fundamental knowledge. it doesn't seem like this info would help me land the trick but it does mentally prepare me for it.
@@TheFloatLife I thought fs was the side of your front foot, which confused me when skating a lot bc it was the side that my back was facing🤣🤣 my life is a lie
id argue for this to be frontside and not backside, as; -you are required to do a frontside 90 spin -while your direction of travel is also going forward. vs -only the approach to the obsacle being heel side behind you. that's a 2:1 in favor for frontside. needless to say, it makes more sense to call something that is backside blind, this just has the approach heel side/backside so now approach is valued more than the actual trick combo in naming something properly.? , its a FS Noseslide, as it requires more frontside tricks to complete! while totally seing your exit and not being blind. P.S - For something to be called blind/backside it needs to be difficult this is the simplest veriation.. Last thought - slides requires spinning mitigating blindness to a certain degree, in grinds on skateboards or a tire ride skinny on a OW yur aproach anallogy coould be used however in slides not so much
I understand what you're saying, but you're not correct. This is something that a lot of people confuse. This is definitely backside. An easy way to remember is if the rail/ledge is behind you it's backside if the rail is in front of you it's front side
That was sick Bodhi!!! Thanks for the video! I’d love to see one for popovers after a nose slide.
Tried to like this twice. Agree 👍
Bodhi, already learning how to hop down curves from you. Can't wait to receive my float plates (lost in the mail?) and work on these backside slides.
Brilliant! This really changes the Noseslide idea for me. Awesome!
Can't wait to try this out on the X, cut up a float plate to fit 🤙🏻
Excellent tips!🙏🏾

So on point! Thanks so much!

Oh I'm stoked to go ride now!!!
Yew!
Thank you Bodhi! How much do Bangs help with slides compared too stock?
A ton
Did you Wax these curve? How do you do it when your out and about? This would make a great video for the future like rain taking a factor as well.

Your'e great inspiration!!! Keep It Up!!!
Thank you! Will do!
Great video, wanted to try this for a long time but scared lol. Do I need to wax the curbs top or sides?
I would definitely recommend waxing up your spot!

love the vans...
Do float plates work with onewheel pint rail guards that go under the board
Unfortunately, not really.
Thank you for making this video this trick is sick and I want to learn how to do it. -o-

To me, that's a front side nose slide in the vid. Back side nose slide is blind and your back is facing the direction of slide.

Shit still hard af 😂🤠
Doesn’t grinding ruin the expensive one wheel?
You gotta pay to play!
Any chance to learn how to power slide, if the name is correct.
Good idea!
Me at home: this is easy I can already do all the movements
me on the board: mom come pick me up im scared
😂😂😂
Wouldn’t this be frontside???
No, it's backside
It’s backside because on approach, your heels are facing the obstacle.
Frontside means your toes are facing the obstacle
What makes this a backside slide? Since your sliding with your frontside forward I thought that would be a frontside noseslide
I'm completely with you on that. A backside nose slide is blind.
