I feel a rivalry brewing between these teams and I'm all for it

The Sharks vs Kevin Stenlund at least, maybe he’s just jealous we have more Lunds?

@@professorhockey Hell, we got so many Lunds we got a whole line of 'em!

I think the blame for players standing still on the 6 on 4 at this point needs to be the coaching or pp coordinator. It's happening too often so we have to assume it's by design.
And if it's not, then also coaching has failed to discipline the players to move their feet.
    Thanks for the vid, professor!

Yeah the coaching staff deserves some criticism for it, they have the talent to not be as bad as they are.

Completely agree with relying on Macklin for energy, he should bring energy and spread it, it shouldn’t be every night he’s the one that has to get the team going though.

That’s a horrible precedent to set for an 18 year old though he’s going to go through his slumps being so new to the NHL other players need to be bringing energy as well

I think the Sharks need to find themselves. This game should have meant something, circled date on the calendar like you said. Beef after the last game and a chance for revenge in their barn. They have to come out with more energy and play like a team that not only wants to win but hates to lose. Maybe I’m being too harsh but it feels like they haven’t found their team chemistry still.

Fourgiev became Threegiev in the previous game, and you called it Professor, he got to Twogiev! Too bad the Sharks couldn't score more than one...

Drew was right, they need to focus their physicality going forward.

Smith was doing nothing while I forget who - maybe Toffoli? - was wide open in the bumper spot. Just move, fake a pass, feed it to the bumper for a one-timer. Or a quick pass to whoever was down at the goal line and they then have a clear lane for a quick pass to the bumper. It's as good as scoring chance as they can produce, and it could have been done in like 2 seconds. Not even trying is totally dysfunctional. Pass, pass, shot from the slot.

Toffoli was at the goal line, I think it was Wennberg or Zetterlund in the slot (the other was in front of the net). He did pass it down to Toffoli twice and both times he got it back from him. I think just bad execution all around

The Sharks were slow, never on their toes, a couple of days off didn't seem to give them a recharge. And their record in second games of back-to=backs is not good. Hopefully Askarov can pull them out of the Wild game on Saturday...

For me this might be one of the worst games of the season so far. Very slow, sloppy play. Horrible passing and tons of turn overs. It was honestly kind of a slog to get through this game. I understand what Warso was thinking with Kunin on the kid line to kinda insulate them, but nothing really came out of it. I would have liked to see someone drop the gloves with Stendlund at the start of the game to send a message. I’m just really surprised the sharks came out so flat against a team that put your star player into the boards last time you saw them.
Another pretty good outing for Georgiev with no goal support kinda sucks too. Maybe some time on the road will be good for them and we’ll see how they play with Askarov in nets tonight. The Wild will definitely make them pay if they play like the did tonight.

It reminds me of the game against Philly, which was less than two weeks ago. One was hoping they wouldn’t repeat such an effort so soon, but here we are.
