Been watching this on my tablet whilst on the toilet and my wife is wondering what the laughter is coming out the bathroom! Proper funny Al, you and John did a brilliant job here, hilarious.
Fantastic show! I envy John’s ability to eat all that. I’m woose and won’t be trying this one, but I still love watching you make your curries. Have a peaceful break.
Your videos are the only ones that literally make my mouth water as I watch them. That's no exaggeration. But this one has my forehead and cheeks sweating as well!!!
I can appreciate how super spicy that curry is. I put two teaspoons of Mr Naga and two teaspoons of extra hot chilli powder and thats hot enough for me. Glad you tried it, It looked delicious. Thanks for the recipe
That makes for great viewing Al, great job not only for the curry tuition but I thought it was also well humoured as well, I'm really looking forward to giving this a go, thanks again.
Brilliant video. I’ve just made it for Sunday dinner for the family. So missed out the naga, and used Mild chilli power and not so many green chilli’s. Lovely and such an easy curry to make
I will try this too, thanks for posting... was thinking of reducing to a chilli level that I can tolerate comfortably, like Al said it's a beautiful curry, it just the heat !!!! - ❤❤❤ thanks@172forest
I love your videos, Al and you've taught me, so much. I've been desperate for years, to learn how to do Chicken Tikka Masala restaurant style and I found yours, followed your recipe and my family, who are really fussy about Indian takeaways, said that mine was tastier than any Indian restaurant, that they had been to and they've been to hundreds! So, thank you, thank you, thank you, Al! xxx
Just discovered you Al. Brilliant, and all served up with a great helping of humour. You could give any of the established TV cooks a run for their money. 😊
I just spotted the bog roll in the background during the taste test.... did a Phall once to say I'd done it but never again. But you have to try the whole menu before you know. What surprises me is you make it look so easy to cook. Keep the videos coming Al!
I had one at a restaurant near me “Sagar” Literally they came out from the kitchen to watch me eat it. It was instant pain, belly ache later on but I enjoyed it nonetheless. Would I eat another? Yes 😂
You must have the absolute patience of a saint AL reading the comments, It hasn’t changed in 10 years. I learned from your first year on YT how to make curry’s and ive never looked back… id assumed you’d given it up by now.. Fantastic to see your still going strong and thank you for sharing your skills 👍
Made this a couple of times now and it’s my go to curry now. Instead of four tablespoons spoons of chilli powder I add 2 and a half, but I add an extra spoonful of mr naga and an extra ten chillies so it’s still got a good kick to it. Love it.
Just stumbled on your video, enjoyed the humor and agony combined. I'm in the US and really curious where you got that bowl, would love to add those to My cast iron collection. Thanks for the recipe as well, I eat hot, so this is my comfort food lol, thanks for the great video, be well
Your best video so far Al. Big John is a legend. Poor guy, you had a litre glass, he had a 330ml bottle! But Big Al ate the lot, hiccups and extreme sweating!
Hahaha, very funny video Al. Very different in parts with the chicken going in first and no onions at all! Looked gorgeous though. Currently hooked on your Garlic Chilli Chicken 👍
Brilliant video Al, always enjoy watching them! I do love a flipping hot curry and have had Phalls before, but I think even I might chicken out on this one! 😂Looking forward to the next video, but appreciating your time out for a bit to focus on home stuff. All the best matey!
Oh my days.... Al you are just too funny!!!😂😂. you're man John is most definitely Hercules!! He's even glad you tried it 😂 sorry for your troubles Al, will keep your family close in prayers ❤ will definitely give it a bash and try to bear the heat, 😊. Luv the part near the end just after you were gargling with the milk when you offered John a slice of bread to mop it upp !!!! Haaaahaaaa... lol conversational gold! Love lots, God Bless. Keep on keeping on ❤❤
Had my local curry house cook me one of these up, the first half blew my head off, the second was so full of flavour I loved it but probably won't have one again 🤣🤣
OMG Al, if Mal was still here he would have been making this and I would have been leaving home lol. I'm a wuss but as you know he made me your chicken korma and it was the best I've ever had, it beat any takeaway or restaurant xx
Thank you for this 👏👏👏👏, wanted to try this for ages, ones local Indian does nae even have it on thy menu, thanks for all thy ingredients and cheers from a barmy autumn evening here in new🥝🥝🥝zealand 🍺🍺🍺
4:04 If you use regular butter rather than ghee. I melt the butter, separate the clear yellow butter oil from the white milk solids and use the clear yellow butter oil at the start when you are frying ingredients. Later on, I add the milk solids for flavour, as the milk solids tend to burn if you fry them. Just my personal opinion as an enthusiastic, amateur home cook. I welcome other opinions and advice.
Beyond fucking hilarious.. Such entertainment, maybe I'm a cruel bastard.. But seeing you in such discomfort was brilliant... John on the other hand is a proper heat beast, incredible. 😂😂😂
Fantastic video Al, couldn't stop laughing. Only thing I have wondered about all your 30 minute currys is ,you make a lot in one pan, how do you store them and re heat them, thanks, Bob M
Used to love a hot curry but after so many years of phalls and alike my stomach can't take it lol. Still enjoy a hot madras but watching this makes me want it soo much lol. Thank you Al for the great mouthwatering video. 👍🍻
Thanks Al. One of the most entertaining videos you've made. The mask cracked me up 😂But keen on trying at as both of you say how tasty it was, just mind blowing spicy hot. Made my day. Hope you sort your family issues out and look forward to your next concoction 😋
Ha ha ha Outstanding Al :-) thank you so much, I don't think I'll do as well as you - but what great fun (My wife won't thank you for this though mucka) ps (saves on your heating bills) he he he
New to the channel but well done to you both, John you are a beast for taking that on like it's nothing, laughed so much watching this. I look forward to watching more of your content
Brilliant Al, well done John😂😂😂😂 no way, I'll stick to my Rogan or "Game on's" curry. (Still gotta try it from last year when you were there) Thank you very much ❤
Is anyone old enough to remember ’Bombay Duck’ they used to serve in Indian restaurants in the seventies and early eighties, it was a dried fish you had to crumble and sprinkle it on your curry as a condiment. Weird looking back on it now.
Lovely Stuff!!! A local Bangladeshi place used to do a brilliant Hari Mirch for those that wanted the "Hottest Thing You Do, Pal!" It was always hilarious to watch! Hope all is OK with the Family stuff and remember...that ALWAYS comes first. Peace, Love'n'BBQ.
I hate those glasses! Beer is warm by the time you’re half way through. They’re absolutely pointless. Basically stag do accessories in Germany lol. Plus who on Earth drinks beer with a heavy meal? No wonder brits are so fat lol
The big man did himself proud. I did a couple a phal's back in the late 90's and I'd never do it again. I went up to see me bestie up in Stoke as he was at uni. We went out on the lash and ended up in some iffy curry place. The server said do you want it hot and of course my mate gave it large. We got back to his gaff and it was nuclear! I had three mouthfuls and had the put the plate away. My mate pretty much did the same. HIs always skint roommate came down and asked if he could have it. We both said go right ahead. The following day we were on the lash again when I got the grumbles. I had to go into this cold, skanky loo to drop trough. Not the best of weekends. From that day on I said no more than a vindaloo. I usually order a jalfrezi
I have a similar story about a phaal. I genuinely think it's the oil that gets you more than the heat. They use so much oil to cook out the spices that it acts like a laxative. If it wasn't for that it still would have been bad, but at least it would have some time to digest.
Any plans on publishing a book Al please 🙏 ☺. Found your channel during covid times and stocked up on ingredients ☺ thanks, great guy with a great channel and a pleasure to watch, learn and cook from ♥
Please Subscribe. Helps the channel like you would never know.❤

Been watching this on my tablet whilst on the toilet and my wife is wondering what the laughter is coming out the bathroom! Proper funny Al, you and John did a brilliant job here, hilarious.
😂 that's funny
You'll be back on it if you cook this thing 😂
😂😂😂😂 this is also me, 😂😂😂
Might be the funniest intro to a video ever😂😂
I never comment before watching all the way through, but that’s comedy gold
I love it when YT puts random vids in my feed. Brilliant!
Thanks, from a very new Subscriber!
My eye is weeping at the thought of this. Many thanks, Al and pal.
Mr ring is weeping...
I can think of ways to make it even hotter.
Fantastic show! I envy John’s ability to eat all that. I’m woose and won’t be trying this one, but I still love watching you make your curries. Have a peaceful break.
First videos of yours I’ve seen - well done YT algorithm and instant sub👍 looking forward to binge watching now.
Awesome, thank you!
Your videos are the only ones that literally make my mouth water as I watch them. That's no exaggeration. But this one has my forehead and cheeks sweating as well!!!
Wow...this would cripple me for days....hats off chaps...hats off..👏
absolute magic Al brilliant , if this was on tv what a laugh , and what an audience you would have . outstanding
Nobody watches tv any more
Love it, first time watcher & new sub. That curry looks lovely! Saying that - I can't tolerate that kina heat like I used to be able to...
I can appreciate how super spicy that curry is. I put two teaspoons of Mr Naga and two teaspoons of extra hot chilli powder and thats hot enough for me.
Glad you tried it, It looked delicious.
Thanks for the recipe
Awesome video Al! Thanks for that, loved watching your mate devour this, what a hero! Hope all's cool with you and yours, can't wait for the next'n!
That makes for great viewing Al, great job not only for the curry tuition but I thought it was also well humoured as well, I'm really looking forward to giving this a go, thanks again.

Well done Al for having a taste. Looks amazing but too hot for me this one. The video was great though, thanks and cheers 🍻
Looks absolutely great! The sense of humour aswell goes such a long way, good work.😊
Brilliant video. Loved John to....have him on again. Loved the banter 😂
Brilliant video. I’ve just made it for Sunday dinner for the family. So missed out the naga, and used Mild chilli power and not so many green chilli’s. Lovely and such an easy curry to make

And you make me laugh out loud! And you explain everything, so well. Best famous chef, for sure! xxx
Just discovered you Al. Brilliant, and all served up with a great helping of humour. You could give any of the established TV cooks a run for their money. 😊
Wow, thank you!
I’m Gonna give it a go. But without the revenge, it will be trial and error to get it right. Thanks Al.
My sentiments exactly. See where your breaking point is. Especially if you are cooking for others who aren't so adventurous. As I do.
I’m going to give this a shot Al. Looks awesome!
Big John loves it. Kept dipping in for more. Awesome.
I just spotted the bog roll in the background during the taste test.... did a Phall once to say I'd done it but never again. But you have to try the whole menu before you know. What surprises me is you make it look so easy to cook. Keep the videos coming Al!
I had one at a restaurant near me “Sagar”
Literally they came out from the kitchen to watch me eat it. It was instant pain, belly ache later on but I enjoyed it nonetheless.
Would I eat another?
Yes 😂
Surely gonna need more rolls than they got there.

Al your a star mate. Haha cheered me up on this cold Sunday lunchtime
Glad to hear it
Made this a couple of times now and it’s my go to curry now. Instead of four tablespoons spoons of chilli powder I add 2 and a half, but I add an extra spoonful of mr naga and an extra ten chillies so it’s still got a good kick to it. Love it.
Great cooking. I cannot believe John committed to that following the shock on his face after the first spoonful. Liked and Subscribed!
Absolutely fantastic vid 🥵🥵
Hope you and John make a speedy recovery 😂
Been waiting for this!
Good video, very funny too.
I love naga pickle but that's a LOT of chilli for one dish lol.
I think I'm up to it.... maybe!
Just stumbled on your video, enjoyed the humor and agony combined. I'm in the US and really curious where you got that bowl, would love to add those to My cast iron collection. Thanks for the recipe as well, I eat hot, so this is my comfort food lol, thanks for the great video, be well

you can't beat Mr Naga. I just get the paneer curry from Iceland and jazz it up with this. great stuff.
I’ve just bought a pack of 2 jars off a well known auction site for £8.30 free delivery

Fantastic, Big John did really well. Not even any rice! Jeez!
Great video - and so easy to make!
Brilliant video Al, always enjoy watching them! I do love a flipping hot curry and have had Phalls before, but I think even I might chicken out on this one! 😂Looking forward to the next video, but appreciating your time out for a bit to focus on home stuff. All the best matey!
That is one of the funniest things I have ever seen where food is concerned. Good on yer Al!
Oh my days.... Al you are just too funny!!!😂😂. you're man John is most definitely Hercules!! Great editing from the first video...
Big John reminds me of my dad, he's a big fella who loves all things spicy. I'm gonna have to have a go at this!
John is an absolute legend, both versions
Such a brilliant way of cooking a curry no matter how much chilli you want to put in. Nice one Al
Brilliant video and the tasting section was hilarious.

Thank you so much
This looks fab Al, I'm putting this in my to cook playlist for the weekend, hopefully🤞 it wins the vote 😊
Fantastic video Al, couldn't stop laughing. Only thing I have wondered about all your 30 minute currys is ,you make a lot in one pan, how do you store them and re heat them, thanks, Bob M
They usually get eaten in one go. I have 4 mouths to feed
👍
Just freeze them and put in the microwave to warm up when you fancy one👍
Hi AL, loved that curry, bit mild 😥😥😥😥😥where did you get the black pot, it’s awesome ?
Used to love a hot curry but after so many years of phalls and alike my stomach can't take it lol. Still enjoy a hot madras but watching this makes me want it soo much lol. Thank you Al for the great mouthwatering video. 👍🍻

Love your videos Al I've done so many of your curries all amazing might i add, can not wait for your next one.
Yes, the fella! Looking good. Think I'm gonna skip this week's 30 min curry, though 😂🔥
Love the curry but that Stein glass is great ,looks like Tegensee . amazing lager from Bavaria!
I hate those glasses! Beer is warm by the time you’re half way through. They’re absolutely pointless. Basically stag do accessories in Germany lol. Plus who on Earth drinks beer with a heavy meal? No wonder brits are so fat lol
I would love to try it
I would you make my one with some rice and garlic naan
John would've loved the curry challenge from the Rupali in the Big Market Newcastle, you had to sign a waiver before eating it
Great recipe instructions then taste test with John was a comedy classic.
Phall has always been my go to curry, cant wait to give this a go...cheers al 👌
I started sweating just watching! Looks delicious!
Bring it on Al,,, Looks fantastic.
I love this... best video yet😂😂. Love your curries but definitely not doing this one😅😅
Gonna give this version a go this weekend
Loved it. I grow Naga chillies and have used ONE per curry. My eyeballs are sweating at this. ❤❤❤
I will make this but water down the spice a bit as it looks very tasty
Arsehole shaped ice cubes!!! Now that IS a first. Well done lads. We have just witnessed the invention of the thermo-nuclear curry.
I've been so excited for this!
Great video - HA - and now I feel hungry - HA - but that would send me out of control. CHEERS from AUSTRALIA.

Al, I love the bit about Gandhi at the end 😁 Trust me, the actual historical figure would've found the whole thing hilarious too! 🤣
