My 5.
1 Reliability. Never stranded. No mechanical issues at 120k now. 120k checkup report includes valve check. No problems. Cost 224.00.
2 Exclusiveness. I have noticed 2 other ISFs on the road.
3 Sleeper. Most people don't know what a beast it is. Yet I can get attention if I want with the exhaust sound.
4 Exhaust. Quiet when I want to be, loud when I want to be.
5 Looks. As a friend said " I have no idea what it is, but I can tell it's something special"

I have a 2008 IS-F in ultra sonic blue mica....it's freaking awesome.
Lowered, purple painted calipers and dirty wheels - all make a nice car look like shit.
nothing wrong with lowering it and it being dirty..... the purple calipers tho.....

The color is the absolute #1 fav ultra sonic blue ❤ glad I got a USB color too, almost couldn't get one!

The thing I love about my 2012 IS-F, is the fact that it does get attention. And yeah I got pulled over going 82mph on a 45mph zone, I just wanted to hear the air intake open up. other than that it's all good.. you can see my ISF and gs460 on my face book look me up Napoleon Veloria, If I had a choice I want the starfire pearl or ultra white, but here on Honolulu you have to deal with what's on lot.
I have a red 2008 ISF with 150k miles on it. Still drives amazing.

Lexus are very reliable car , just brought a 2017 is350 fsport , 306hp v6 engine , its so amazing to drive . Love it !!
The isf is a beast, the only thing I'm wanting to do to mine is install a apexi throttle controller. You should do a video on installing window visors.
Came to see a USB ISF for paint options on a GS400 BUT now you've got me interested in looking at an ISF for my next car lol

Was thinking of getting an IS350, but now that you mention that naturally aspirated engine, and taking into consideration that I do live in a hot country (turbos lose 40% of power in hot weather) , this doesn't seem too bad :)

One thing the lower spec manual Lexus IS models do get cloth seats :)
naturally aspirated last longer than turbocharger. Turbo will need replacing especially if driven in the dust
Thanks for the videos. I've always liked the car and now I can afford one. This clears a lot with shopping German cars, American muscle, and Lexus physique. American gives more power lacking luxury unless its the CTSV but cost goes up. Sounds like the pay to play gets diminished a bit with an IS-F. Less worries, more fun, and budget friendly vs the M family

Nice Video.. I am big fan of lexus.. I own a 2005 Is250 my self which i have spruced up to look like the ISF ..lol.. As i cant afford the ISF, I just changed my headlights to the L day time lights, Added some F badges , painted my callipers orange, added a shark fin at the top with a sport bumper.. It looks just amazing.. Ho wi sh i could had the double exhaust ...
man i don't think 2008 model came with that head light, but anyway keen to get one, love the sound it makes that's all that v8 matters~

Totally dig your vids man, nice to see other IS owners love their cars as much as I love mine. I have an '06 IS350 w/165K miles and I'm looking to upgrade to the ISF. I've looked on tons of sites, but haven't seen a peep about a new ISF based on the 3rd gen IS. Have you seen anything?
Did you upgrade to the LED Headlights? They don't come on a 2008.
How much are they in US?
In U.K. a 2008 ISF will cost you £16,000 and that's if you can find one. Only ever about 10 ISF for sale on second hand market.

I have a white ISF but I wanted silver or blue. Definitely love the car coming from a problematic E92 M3. Can't say I agreed with any of the dislike vid but this was spot on

KG i have a question.when you did the muffler resonator delete on your isf did you loose any torque or power on low rpm.Just being curious.im planning to do mine.Thank you.
If there is one thing you could change about the isf what would it be and why
I've owned an IS 350 for two years before getting my F and the F is a whole other experience. The 350 is a grandma car compared. Ok it has has its horsies but not as thrilling.

I thought it was a 4.6L engine with 467 horsepower. the GS F is the same and the RC F.

what about valley plate leak which lexus won't issue a recall and cover expense, waterpump faliure, sticky dashboard and door panels among others ( isf not included in recall).. all of these will cost you a pretty penny.. btw.. sgm is the best color
oh and my favorite.. tach needle and speedometer needle led lights going out.. delicious
john john water pump issue effected some 2008 models and few after that. Valley Plate leak is shouted about by the few people it effects. My Dealer said he has had no customers with this problem when I heard about it 10k ago. I don't know about the problem with the speedometer or tach. Maybe a 2008 issue. 2009 got a new one and then another new one in 2010 or 2011. I don't have any issues with dash etc. it looks perfect at 120k.
My ISF has been maintained according to the schedule at Lexus dealership. It has been such an expensive car to maintain. 2 days ago it would not start. I got it towed to the garage. Starter motor died. $800 for the part and 15 hours of labor. Over $2000 just to replace the starter motor.

not bad but AMG c63 owns,the 6.2 liter m156 is an award winning engine..The best or nothing!
I think this looks a lot better inside and out than the c63, this is prolly a hell LOT cheaper too.
Hahahaha. The ISF is almost just as quick as a C63 comparing stock cars (maybe two tenths slower to 100kmh) And your 'award winning' M156 engine is plagued with corroding head bolts, intake manifold gasket failure, worn camshafts and injectors that are prone to failure. How is it 'the best'?! Hahaha

As much as I love Lexus/ Toyota that particular model is not a keeper. Lexus changes their models soooo fast, that model already looks old. I would have leased that car when it first came out and on to the new one. Toyota Supra, NSX those are for ever!!
