- I let Mike off the hook and had him install my headers on my E92 M3 instead of come to the Smokies with me to check out houses for Destination OG. Ha...ha... I've said it before, these are by far the best headers and exhaust combo for this car, they just sound incredible. The install however... not so fun.

Not only is this a very difficult job to do. But it’s equally as difficult to do while keeping a great attitude that Mike does. Good job.

Been a fan of Matt for years. I own the IND Signal Green Hell m3, spun a bearing last year. That car was "done" . Well, since motor was out, he has inspired me to dial it up. Doing the full arh exhaust, and the motor is here from dinan, 4.5l. So excited to see you mention it, when you said Dinan pedals, I just laughed, why would he mention that if he didn't have stroker on his mind....lol.
I say to you Matt, be done with the wheels, just do a set of BBS e88's. Contact Slicer, and get it dialed in. There isnt a better wheel for the e92. This is coming from the guy who spent 5 years of my life figuring out how to recreate style 40's for my z3m coupe that couldn't fit stock wheels. Wheels make the car, and the e88's somehow vibe with the design in a OG OEM+ kind of way. I'm confident e88's or not, you'll get it right.
Thanks for doing all these videos. It's just stunning, and the car culture needs more guys who don't listen to the crowd, and truly enjoy their cars in a personal way like you do. Life is too short to do it another way.
A question Matt. I personally purchased the IND car to soften and avoid the desire to own a porsche 911 gt3/gt3rs. Given the tough choice, would you choose your e92 over your gt3? I no longer desire a p car now, especially having chased them down on the track coupled with the character of the e92. The v8 sound, and where can you go wrong when a steve Dinan replacement motor is a fraction of the cost of a gt porsche replacement engine.
Keep it coming, and do the Stroker like it's year 2013!
Hey Greg! I know that car well. ARH and 4.5L is the dream. I really want to convince Steve Dinan to do it with me on camera. That would be epic. The E92 is more about cruising around town for me. I just love how it looks and sounds, but I don't find it super fun to drive in comparison the a GT4 or GT3.

I believe you're going to get through this driving thing. If you can drive the way you do in the mountains, you can drive anywhere you want...whenever you want. I recently conquered my abject fear of flying (acrophobia, claustrophobia and agoraphobia) so that I could fly across the country to adopt my son...and now it feels like the most natural thing in the world. I don't know if it was because it was such a stressful and life-changing time for me otherwise (becoming a first-time father at 40)...but I just centered myself and gave it to God and it could not have gone better. Now I can't wait to fly again.
BTW if that Nadair vacuum doesn't make the cut...I'd like to buy it from you. I think it is just what I'm looking for. Can I shoot you or Chris an email?

Mike made the obviously-tricky install look approachable, if not easy. The steering oops made the rest of us (OK, me at least) feel better about project hiccups. Car sounds amazing. House looks better. Shed?!?!
Just heads and cams, ported itbs and tune. Stroker is not necessary, rather get the schirmer kinematics kit for the suspension.
The car sounds great with ARH! All that's left is to adjust the tune to get it dialed in and pick up some horsepower! 🤟🏼🤓
Love all the project ! can I ask how they managed to keep the fuel lines and tank without problems since it was manufactured?

Great to see you appreciating this car as much as you are! Did you not consider selling your prior E92 at one point though?? I know that I responded, that you should definitely keep it (an E92 that is), and I’m glad that you have 👍.

You need to do a shorter final drive, I've got a 4.44 in my 6MT E92 and it's honestly the best thing I think you can to do a manual.
What size piping did you go with for the headers?

Curious as to how much HP/TQ this headers make? Coz the stock e9x M3 headers are excellent already so unless ur doing this for sound? i understand but I'd check the power gains first and tune before changing headers.

What is the specs on the complete exhaust? looking for this on my E92 but not sure if the header tubing diameter was mentioned.

Remember even thou its almost 10 years old its still in brake-in until 1200 miles.

Hey Matt. Do you like the Alpine MSS tune say better than DINAN Stage 3 piggy back? I was checking out the Alpine MSS and it looks really promising. But I don't want any aggressive burbles added to what the F80 already has. If those can be disabled with the tune I'm sold!
I love Alex’s tune on the E92, but the tune is much more important on the S55. I’m not sure how much he has put into it. He’s super authentic, so he will tell you.
Thanks for the input Matt. I’ll reach out to Alex for specifics. The E92 is sounding great! I pretty much have everything DINAN on my F80 except for the mid-pipe. I thought Steve sold DINAN and has a new venture called Carbahn or something like that? It would be epic if he would agree to video building the Stoker engine for the E92 🤯@@ObsessedGarage

Just my opinion; but bmw makes some great headers & the cats are removable so I’m not completely sure what the benefits are here

Fi-R's don't work Matt. I have 18" RKP FI's on my M3, and I think they are THE greatest wheel for the E92.

Why don’t you just drop the whole subframe and rack and pinion ??? I mean this is the dumbest thing I’ve seen. I service bmw and German cars for a living.
