Patti was the voice of numerous advertising jingles on tv.She didn't have as much commercial success but her voice has stood the test of time. Her duet with James Ingram" Baby Come to Me " was a hit in the late 70s.

The dynamic duo Jam and Lewis produced this track. The whole album was great.
Patti is truly one of the most underrated vocalist in the industry. She is one if those singers that can sing anything. Her biggest hit is called Baby Come To Me, a duet with the late James Ingram that was produced by Quincy Jones.
Dinah Washington her Godmother, is a Legendary Singer who was big in the Jazz/Blues Arena. Another great voice you need to check out

Patti Austin taught Jam & Lewis earlier in their career to always be prepared. They had written and recorded 3 songs for her. Patti killed the performances by getting it done on the first take - nothing that they had seen before. Jam & Lewis reflected that they should have had more songs ready.

This song is 1986 the sound of the 80s yes jimmy jam & terry lewis produced it. It was told she was skeptical of terry jimmy producing her she didnt care for their style. At first but that best thing that ever happen. But she is known more of her doing jazz. You can tell from her style but yes her popular songs hit the pop & r&b charts. Another vocalist never got her due its a shame love me some patti but like every song its all about the music so yes the direction of the song beautiful production. Patti has other gems also thank you mother popcorn hitting the youngin with good songs
