The hybrid windows/android laptop from Lenovo was my favorite. If I didn't need a mac, I would switch to that thing in a heartbeat
Agreed! I've been in the market for a windows computer bc recently I've been feeling limited with mac os in terms of software I want to download (mostly games admittedly) and honestly nothing I use my laptop for i need to be a mac!
Huion & Xp-pen android tablets! Finally!
I'm very interested to see how Xp-pen's one will do against the Galaxy tab s9 fe plus
Would totally buy them over Samsung or apple if they make to good
@@TECH3_I totally regret buying my S7+ because I feel the pen (S Pen and Noris Jumbo) contact with the screen very very slippery
Trouble is - Android and lack of Apps.
I have an S8 tablet and the only App I really use is Nomad Sculpt. All else is gaming. Apple iPad has so much more available which is really good. Krita / Clip Studio is either Windows Desktop UI on a small screen or subscription while iPad users can buy Procreate for example with a one off payment less than 2 months of Clip Studio subscription..
And I just bought tab s9 ultra for a week bruh
@@Riomulen Tab S9 ultra is an incredible tab! Xp-Pen and Huion are new to android, so they don't have any experience with it yet, software wise Samsung is ahead (for now at least)
It's really cool to see Huion and XP give Wacom good competition.
Hope you have a great 2024, Brad! 🎨
I ordered the Huion Kamvas Pro 19, 3 days after seeing it seems like a nice upgrade on they pen display. can't wait to get my hands no it.
Thank you, Brad, for your video about your fav tech from CES 2024.
rly looking forward to your review on the new expresso display - saw some other videos on the 15 since your original one and they showed what appeared to be a lot of improvement in pen performance. i tested the alogic 27 - really nice hardware - it is mpp2.0 w 4096 pressure levels.... if you are on mac tho - the drivers are no good and its pretty much useless :/ kind of betting on the kamvas 19 on being the thing to get if you want something bigger than 12.9" for mac and cant wait to see that review as well! thanks for all your reviews!
Nice overview. Thanks for educating new users about the differences in stylus tech.
When you review the Samsung Galaxybook Pro 360 I hope you will take the time to set up Windows 11 to run Android in order to test how the SPen works in Andoid apps like Clip Studio paint and Nomad Sculpt 3d.
I'm looking forward to your reviews of these products.
Can't wait for the XP-Pen tablet review, thanks Brad
Looking forward to the Huion 19 Pro review - that seems a great size and Huion are really making big strides with pen tech.
Yeah I looking forward to the review on this item. Love seeing a company catch up to Wacom. If their pinch and zoom get close to Apple 🍎 that will make consider this tablet.
Ya the 19 and 27 look really nice. If they can get the touchscreen working with Macs finally I would pick one of these up immediately
This is interesting because I thought XP-Pen would take the budget route while Huion would go for the higher end with their tablets - you know, since Huion went for the high end with all their other new stuff. Maybe it's a counterbalance
I believe it's just that they are getting different reads of their user base data; different market research (and this happens even when the user bases are super similar). IMO, it could also be that XP has read better that many of the premium Wacom users still notice (I do, and I have both Wacom and Huion products, and XP has similar issues) important differences at certain levels of things. And those might not be willing to change brand anytime soon, plus, are premium products which most people keep for many years. It could be also XP not seeing many sales in their 24" models or, having too much stock to sell yet from those. Or that they sell immensely well their superb Deco Pro medium model and others in that rank...Who knows.
Hi Brad, nice video as usual. How about reviewing the Zenbook Duo, I hope you have a plan to test that too...looking forward to your review. thanks
Yes finally cause I’m deciding between s7 fe or slate 10
Omg I’ve been asking for a 20 inch kamvas
Dear Asus, I think there's a little misunderstanding here...a "3D graphics professional" doesn't really need a "3D screen" laptop, but a machine that can handle Maya, Blender etc a lot better than the rest of the competition... XD
I would love to see your take on Clarity Pro Touch 27" UHD 4K Monitor. I wonder if the multi-touch works fine when connected to a Mac.
I'm super curious about that 18-in screen. It's not til you mentioned it that I realized I always felt 15 was too small and 24 was unruly.
Really tempted to get the Huion 27 pro looks clean and super efficient. Just waiting for the reviews to roll in, i guess i could always wait a year to see if the price point drops 😁. Great video Brad
The price isn't gonna drop and yeah I'm also waiting for reviews on it.
When you do the review of these devices, can you an updated drawing application review? We know things change and get better. Also, I like your reviews.
gonna look out for reviews on the Huion and XP budget andriod tablets. They're probably thinking of artists big time with those so I'm curios. Also keeping a close eye on the Galaxy 360 book gen 4 because that's the next laptop I'm aiming for.
3D monitors? Sign me up
You didn't cover the Lenovo Yoga 9i 2-in-1; I'd like to see comparisons between that and Asus' Zenbook Duo. I really wish they make something like those with a more powerful gpu--or even that they'd updated the ROG Flow 2-in-1 and tablet : \. Anyway, looking forward to your reviews!
Waiting for the review of the Kamvas 27 & 19 pro.
The huions pro 19 and 27 are 10 points touch too.
Are you planning on reviewing the Alogic clarity monitor? There is not a single drawing review on this screen. Really would like your thoughts on it. Keep up the great content.
Please please please do a review on the Asus Zenbook Duo. I can't find any reviews that talk about the pen. It seems like a perfect laptop for me as long as the pen is good for drawing.
This Alogic Clarity monitor looks interesting but even its smaller (27") and older model has zero reviews talking about the drawing capabilities. I hope you would be able to test it. Cheers!
I think I may have seen you over on Instagram asking drawing related questions on their posts too? I ended up getting a good deal for it and the stand and decided to try it out coming from a Dell Canvas 27. The screen is nice but almost mirror like with reflections. I didn’t buy their pen but ended up with a cheaper surface pro slim 2 pen then getting the pro slim 2. I need to try it in more apps without a stabilizer but so far drawing fast there is a noticeable pen tip and actual line being drawn lag. I didn’t have that with the Canvas but actually don’t mind it so much but would not call it a feature. It registers pressure differences well. Touch works well and the screen surface is very glass like but with the slim pen just enough tooth/resistance to make it comfortable. I love the size and stand and will likely keep it but if the Huion 27 were cheaper I would probably return the clarity pro touch. I might post a review on Insta or here eventually to answer any specific questions someone else might have that I just didn’t see answered in the promos.
Hey Brad ! :). Willa You make review of this news Asus Zenbook Duo ? I'm thinking about it for drawing, but how pen will work on it? Btw. Thanks You cery much for thats, what You doing for us, making all reviews :).
i am really looking forward to the reviews of the xp pen magic drawing tab and the low budget mobile huion version. especially the differences between a mobile drawing tablet from a company specialized on graphic tablets for artists and for example a standard tablet like the galaxy s9 tab. yesterday i bought a xp pen artist 16 (2.gen) to replace my xp pen artist 12 and i am currently quite happy with it. i testet the huion 16 pro and a low budget wacom drawing tablet but for some reason i will stick with the xp pen. still i am looking for a mobile version. i am not sure about the galaxy s9 tab because i really don't need a tablet. i just want it for drawing. I believe it does make a difference whether you buy a mobile tablet from a company specialized in catering to artists or an Android tablet designed for a broader audience, allowing you to do everything. Quality and features tailored to your specific needs can really enhance your creative experience!
Hi Brad, do you plan on reviewing the Asus Zenbook duo? I’m curious on what it’s like to draw with.
hope you can review all of them whether its good or bad. need you to test them foe us.... many many many thanks
looking forward for huion slate 10 and xp pen magic pad.
The Kamvas Pro 19 might be the smallest Vesa mount drawing tablet other than maybe a wacom?
That Samsung Book 4 360 could be super good especially with intels new processors 😊
any windows tablets or detachable/foldable laptops with pen input AND a dedicated GPU that's not ultra-expensive? idk i feel like that HP zbook x2 g4 with a quadro was the way to go but seems like it was discontinued and there has been nothing like it out yet, surface pros are always with integrated gpus, same with galaxy book 360s, huion and wacom mobile workstations are expensive as hell even with integrated gpus, and it's not like there aren't any overpowered laptops with cool RTX gpus these days that are hanging on without overheating in thin laptops (even tho i get it why it would be a bad idea to have it behind a screen in a tablet), i guess architects and designers specifically would beneficiate the most with an RTX 360 laptop with pen input
Book4 pro 360 won't be out till winter?! Mind as well wait for the book5 at that point lol. Is there any other windows device that matches or beats what the book 4 pro 360 can do?
Looking forward to that 3d laptop 😎
At the moment there still is no pen monitor that matches the responsiveness of an iPad Pro. 27" of drawing area is nice, but imagine all that space with the iPad's smooth responsiveness and imperceptible lag. That would be a game changer.
Really glad to see huion and x going into tablets now
Please, where is the link to the commercials?
I look forward to someone reviewing the new Asus Zenbook Duo 2024 -hopefully it has the same Wacom pen their ProArt Pen Display has.
Looking forward to see xppen and huion android pad performance, any spoil?
Please review Huion 19 when you get a chance, thank you....
Can Huion Kamvas pro work with M2 iPad Pro?
Going to skip this year's tech most likely, though the XP-Pen tablet sounds really interesting, but that's about it. I'm fine with using last year's tech, it will serve me well for a couple more years. Some interesting developments, but not enticing enough.
hopefully the zenbook duo ux8406 comes with the EMR pen, please somebody tell me that this thing comes with EMR
since a bunch of tablet companies seem to approve of and use ai art
im interested in the xp pen :3
Brad are you going to review the new Kamvas pro 19 and 27?
Yep, the Kamvas 27 review lands tomorrow morning!
I'm really hoping to see some non-display tablets from Huion with the new Pentech 4.0, as I already have their previous Kamvas 24 display. Also want to see the comparison from you between their's and XPpen on Android tablets.
if you have the kamvas 24 why would you want to see non-display tablets.. not being a dick but i have a kamvas also. well 2 . a 13 and a 22.. and i have a tab 6 lite... i cant go back to non display tablets now.. they feel awkward afte having been on display ones
@sadev101 it's a good question and a very simple answer. When I travel, I can't take the Kamvas 24 with me, so I still have my laptop. I also do a lot of stuff on my Android on the road as well, so having a cheaper, non-display to carry is nice.
@@Drakonaut ahh that explains it. tnx..
Great video! There were some neat tech at CES, wonder where developers takes these in various areas.
Since there are a lot of ppl who draws - i guess :D - Please help me!
I have a Lenovo Tab M10 FHD Plus, but since it is a 2nd Gen, its' digitiser is not capable of sensing any pressure levels. Are there any universal PEN, that has its own pressure sensitivity and i could use it with my android tablet? So far what i've found is the SonarPen. It is cabled tho, it wouldn't mind me, but i can only order it to Hungary for horrible shipping fees... ^^"
Going to buy those Huion or Xp pen Android tablets.
Tablets might be interesting. With my tablet doing most of my non-professional needs, the laptop format just seems outdated. Neither powerful nor portable enough. Tablets with better versions of softwares like teamviewer and better connectivity are the future, laptops are simply placeholders.
Hey, Brad. Are there any solid tablet computer competitors to the iPad and Procreate combo for an animator? I've asked around, and the only responses I could find are just "buy an older or refurbished ipad." Is there anything outside the Apple family that can compete?
I don't think there's any andiod alternative to procreate for animations atleast
@@TECH3_- Flip-a-Clip is very good for Android animation. Has a lot of features like Procreate with a Selection tool that Procreate dreams doesn’t have. Clip Studio Paint is very good pro Animation software available to all platforms.
Please review the kamvas slate 10 from huion!
Nvm, this is why you watch the videos first guys 🤣
Hi Brad my name is steven my wacom 13.3 display is not showing on the screen I have the multi leads plugged in but nothing is showing on the screen it's a PC not a laptop can you help me with this problem .I do have reading writing difficulties so you know 🙏🙏🙏🙏
ayoo BRAD
Very interesting to see reviews on Huion and XP. The quality of drawing on the iPad does not suit me at all. I hope professional graphics tablet manufacturers can do a good thing.
Thank god XP pen is actually doing something with these tablets making it more convenient cuz I have a windows tablet and boy are they the worst to work with! I was thinking about getting an apple device But now I'm going to hold back my pen and see what this year brings!
360 degree refresh rate 😂😂
Hoping for more windows tablets this year! hope they are at least middle-class budget.
*latin america middle class. 😂
You said asus preditkr. Did you mean acer?
I hope Huion or XP Pen make affordable 10 or 11 inch tablet that powered or connected with usb c 3 or 4 / tb 3or 4/ one cable or more better wireless to laptop or mini pc so I can use it to draw with windows or Mac os on the go.
xp pen has a 10 inch tablet that can connect via usb c for 135 bucks
Acer, not Asus is making the giant Predator monitor, just saying
If Huion or XP pen really want to compete with Wacom, they need to stop focusing on the hardware, instead focus on the software. 4K this and 27 inch that is nice but having to stop because wobbly pen lines, the pen is reading on your second monitor while your trying to draw on the tablet or having to reboot just to get the software to work correctly is very annoying. Also work on the design of your own tablet and not take a design already done by Wacom and then under cutting them. That also includes dumb wires sticking out from the top or the sides of the monitor, that doesn't look streamline just looks really ugly.
480hrz vs 120 hrz.. im saying you cant see the differnce. just like 4k pressure vs 8k pressure on a pen.. not detectable
pleeease tell me that Kamvas pro 19 has touch...
It does, but only works on windows currently. Also the palm rejection is not great.
ty @@don-dori
Still disappointed there's no galaxy book 4 with both touchscreen/s-pen and an Nvidia GPU.
I am the 2 to like
Did you heard about Wacom promoting their tablets with AI drawings...
CES! It's a whole mess of awesome ideas😅
Can u plz make more for android
The alogic is sadly old microsoft pen tech :[
At 480Hz, the screen refresh rate is overriding your brain...
I hope this is the start of Wacom’s day of reckoning. If Wacom won’t outsource its pen technology, I hope other companies can out do it.
Sounds like this year's CES is quite boring. Probably, this is proof that developed countries are mostly in a recession nowadays.
The Espresso and Alogic displays/tablets look really interesting - but like Brad already said, the question is what pen tech is being used. Well, I asked about the pen tech in the comment section of a video from Espresso, and from Alogic.
Espresso was quite clear: Their pens are running on MPP 2.0. Therefore my guess would be that digital painting and sketching will be cumbersome. Alogic was not quite so clear, but their response held more promise: Their Clarity displays are compatible with MPP 2.0 and later pens. In other words: A pen running on MPP 2.5 (like Microsoft´s Slim Pen 2) should be usable on their displays. If the drawing/sketching experience mirrors the experience with Surface Pro/Laptop Studio devices, their displays should be really interesting for creatives.
It works with the Slim Pen 2 and alternatives (so assuming anything that would work with the Surface line would work on the Clarity). Nice to use, a little bit to a lot of lag depending on if using a stabilizer/smoothing, brush size, and drawing speed- but not really an issue (for me) in CSP, Rebelle 7, Photoshop, and Affinity suite. Haven't gotten it to work with Krita or Paint tool Sai 1 yet. The drawing experience with my ipad and apple pencil is nicer but the bigger screen and access to full pc power means I'll likely be switching between the two.
@@pixelsnplay You have experience with an Alogic Clarity display + Slim Pen 2? Which Alogic display do you have, and do you run it from a laptop?
