- Scotty and Jack head out for a lazy friday afternoon session in close to the beach.
Good conditions and a variety of species make for a fun afternoon where the boys pass on a few ideas and show that inshore fishing can be fun, relaxing and productive.

Great work Salty, Thanks for Sharing.
Cheers mate
Thanks mate!! I'm still new to reading a sounder so it helps when people give a bit of a run down on what they're seeing. Great help, great video as always
The big Wood!
I’m no expert at sounder reading either but that’s just how I interpret things.
What I’ll attempt do when it warms a bit is sound a bommie and then dive on it to show what it actually looks like in real life as opposed to the sounder.
Cheers for the support as always
Good idea Jack look forward to that.
The way you fish is so simple and enjoyable. I think most fishos could learn a bit from you.
It’s because I’m a bit simple😂
No need to over complicate, simple is more stealth👍
You've helped me more than you'd ever know. Kudos
Cheers mate, it’s just how we do it what works for us others do different things and that works for them. As long as we get a feed and show respect for our fishery it’s all good🤙🏼
Top video as always and full of tips! We also hit out on Friday with big hopes (didn't eventuate to much) caught same as you, 1 decent pinkie! Kept him though as it was already getting late.
Great work guys enjoying the tutorial
Sick vid mate keep it up
Way to go Scotty, your tips are beaut👍🤙
You guys need to go out together... Jack can supply the fish and you do the calamari! 👍
@@alandegraaf1638 sure do, I need Scotties help, hopefully soon👍
Can’t wait for the next session mate 🐟🐟
Love the little info sessions! Gotta get out eith ya one day and get onto a pinkyyy!!! HOW GOODS A FRIDAY ARVO SESSION!!!
1 skippy could have been 4 nice strip baits. Fresh bait could have got been the key to the big snapper lurking out the back. Keep up the great vids 🤘
New to Saltfix enjoyed every video, you have a fantastic attitude towards sharing knowledge and fish management thanks.
Love your videos mate, cheers
Thanks for the support🤙🏼
Really enjoyed it ..Thanks
I have a good tip so have a little spin rod on the side with the double hook with some chicken breast strips that is wat I catch my snapper on but of course have the bigger rods off the back
Good fish
Enjoying yer videos buds.
Not sure what affected the quality of fish between the 2 of you on this one... the different bait and rig or yer banana shirt. ha😅
@@Ryza1988au haha the banana shirt is usually lucky 😂
Awesome vids, just want to see if your interested in doing a run down on how you clean ya boat post fishing trip ( flushing engine eg. do you use salt away) just new to boating lots out there
Too easy I’ll do it soon👍
Hey mate, when leaving unweighted baits out the back, how do you ensure it isn't just sitting in the top water? Or are you anchored?
Here before 1 million🤙🏼
haha yeww
What tide was it or is any time at dusk good
My sounder is just one colour it’s yellow but how do I know if the big humps are what u said
Great vid mate 👍👍👍
cheers mate
Thank you👍
nice vid there. do u guys ever use skippy fillets as bait?
Not really. Mostly if the big pinks are around they will eat mulie. That spot is not really a big fish spot just somewhere easy when I’m lazy
IGA chicken? cooked or raw?
Cooked but have since found out it’s not legal to use land animals as burley . So stopped using it a long time ago .
I just use old bait now or those burley logs you can buy in most bait freezers
Awesome evening in the water. Where in Aus is this??
Perth West Aus🤙🏼
Great vid Scotty. I am using yellowtail as my preferred bait these days. Snapper love them, they stay on the hook better than mulies and the skippy/pickers don’t seem to like them. What setting is your elite 5 at to see that transition from reef to sand?
It’s running on auto, just change up the colour palette
How deep when u when u caught the 56cm
Hey guys, great vid. Are you out from Mindarie or 2Rocks? Im in Mindarie.
It's metro. Which encompasses mandurah lano. Plenty of snaps in mindarie. His vids have helped me tremendously and my grounds are very far from his so apply to where you are
@@patdoherty3528 Mandurah? Doesn't look like Mandurah to me cobba.
Mandurah to lano equal metro I said
@@patdoherty3528 "It's metro".
@@malcolmyoungacdc you're "metro"
Western Australia??
sure is
Hey what is the camera please I have a hero 3 use it for kiteboarding all i hear on mic is wind, do you use external mic? and what go pro?
we use the GoPro hero 8 without any external mics, its pretty good but still suffers from a bit of wind noise
The more I watch these vids the more I hate you Jack.... Throwing a perfectly good fish back that I can only dream about...
Pfff
