    I have 4 of these our by the pool. I did not know that you could turn the logo. I always learn something new from these videos.

    Great video. I've had mine for 7+ years and still running problem free under my patio ceiling. My issue with them is the preinstalled wiring from 20 years ago is weak and can't get a strong signal to them. Thus, not getting max performance. Rerunning wire is not possible without a MAJOR renovation which I considered but wife said "hell no". LOL! I also HIGHLY recommend the Klipsch rock speakers which have been out in the Texas elements for 7+ years as well with no cover and still sound amazing.

    Just got mine in black last week from y’all! Love them on the patio; pushing them with a Marantz NR-1504 and they sound fantastic! Thanks PHT!!

      Thanks for watching! Happy to hear you are enjoying them! For sure my favorite outdoor setups before diving into 70V systems.

    Great Video. Does one need to worry about protecting the speaker input posts from the elements?

      They are designed to not need it but, it never hurts. :)

    Should I go with subwoofer also ?

      @TopShelfAudio  5 дней назад

      If you can get an outdoor sub for use with them then yeah it will always help.

    2 questions. If you happen to break a badge, can a new one be ordered? Also, when putting the grill back on, is the badge over the woofer or tweeter? Thanks

    • @TopShelfAudio
      @TopShelfAudio  Год назад

      you can get the current badges yes. assuming you have a current product that is legit broke. they don't like to just sell parts to anybody.

      Love em! Most likely similar versions/70V versions. They look similar but are more designed for that type of space. They are at our local zoo too. Love seeing Klipsch everywhere we go! :)

    What size are the lock nuts? I must not had seen them and they got tossed.

    • @TopShelfAudio
      @TopShelfAudio  2 года назад +1

      Yeah they are kinda hidden in the foam. I can check the nut size but I'm not sure of the threading so I won't quote it right off. If you call Klipsch customer service though, they should be able to say.

      Looks like 11mm and 1/4 20 threading. Hope that helps :)

      NEVER toss your packaging. I have all my boxes from every single piece of audio gear (and other shit) going back over 20 yrs.

    No wire connection? You went halfway. Everything else was excellent.

    • @TopShelfAudio
      @TopShelfAudio  2 года назад

      Thanks for watching! Figured the wire connection was pretty obvious on these but maybe I'm wrong. Basic binding posts similar to what you see on all the other speakers indoor and out.

      @@TopShelfAudio - Most are spring posts, which are usually garbage. The best are spade screw downs with integrated banana bindings, so it would have been nice for you to demonstrate them.

    How do that compare to the kHO 7?

    • @TopShelfAudio
      @TopShelfAudio  2 года назад +1

      The KHO7s are great but...in my opinion, the AW650 is superior. It's more efficient, the 90x90 horn makes it a bit less picky about placement, and upgraded materials in the drive components give it a bit more of the "Klipsch sound." Honestly can't go wrong either way, but the 650 is my personal preference. Hope that helps!

    Klipsch really missed the boat on their outdoor speakers by not adding a bluetooth feature to them

    • @TopShelfAudio
      @TopShelfAudio  9 месяцев назад

      These are passive speakers. To add Bluetooth to an outdoor speaker, you'd have to make it active then do something like Bluesound and make something with POE / power over ethernet. It really makes the price jump. If that's what you need then hit us up for some Bluesound Professional.
