I bought the rsm650 paired with Wiim ultra 80wpc will be here next week. 650s on sale for 399$ at amazon orig.599$, putting it on back patio 28’x16’. Im exited to hear how it will fill the space. Cant justify 899$ for the 800s which i will only use less since HTX weather is hard on summer.
After the little time I’ve had them playing as it’s just starting to warm up around here, i don’t think they have any more bass or extend lower than the previous aw-650’s. But i do think the bass that is there, is a little cleaner sounding from what i can tell. Now i may try a bigger amp on them to see if any of that changes. I am only running 50wpc to them.
@@scoobydue50wpc not gonna do justice an 8” driver rated for 100w continuous. Should have 150watt per channel amp. Makes a huge difference controlling low end
@@scoobydue Thank you for your review. My wife would play spotify from the phone to my powerful Denon amplifier. Happened to get full volume on my 650 which I thought sounded ok. Bass/Mid was completely killed, coil completely melted, on both speakers. So now I'm considering replacing the elements or buying a pair of 800s. However, suspect the 800s sound better than the Bower&Wilkins, which have received very good reviews, but with much less bass/mid. And that 800 can withstand more watts.
Mounted my newly purchased Klipsch RSM-800 today. Agree with you they sound very good. Cleaner and fuller sound than my previous Klipsch AW 650. The bass is also much more distinct and powerful. It's hard to think of a pair of better outdoor speakers in this price range.
Sorry you feel that way. I would argue that these videos are more helpful than you listening to me record them playing on my iPhone and listening to whatever you are listening on. But thanks for your insights. They will be taken into consideration on my next video i make. 🫡

Using a Cambridge axr100 with mine, bass is super strong had to dial mine back a hair. 100wpc and the speakers can handle more

For sure more bass and a fuller sound without a sub. If you have just these and no chance at a sub, I’d for sure splurge on the 800’s over the 650’s.

How do they sound?
They sound fantastic. They seem to have a more “open” sound to them. I’m assuming this has to do with the new horn design over the older aw series.
