    Just wanted to thank you for this.
    I'm coming back to guitar after 30 years or so and would describe myself as a beginner with 8 chords and few strumming patterns.
    I've just learned the minor pent and the blues scales but couldn't work out what to do with them. I wanted to make a start soloing and you've given me a toe hold into the technique. I've watched hundreds of YT videos and quite frankly they baffled me. I'm a professional trainer by trade who has trained 25000 people over the last 20 years. Your approach perfectly demonstrates the essential requirement of taking the student in easy steps from the known to the unknown.
    Your film wonderfully bridges that gap, takes me from where I am to where I'd like to be. Great, friendly and reassuring style mixed with clear explanation. Thanks Griff from the UK. 🎼

    Finally a video that explains the counting on beginning blues!! Thank You Griff!
    I've always had trouble with the timing and getting lost. now I have a solid understanding on how it works and how to practice to stay in the groove...

    Thank you for this lesson. It's nice to have something to practice that doesn't sound like you're practicing. A good way to work both sides of the brain.

    Griff I can't find the video I looked at about double stops. It was a beginners video but I can't find it. I left a comment for you that said "great teacher."

    Once you get this down, you have the basics of ‘Keys to the Highway’ Clapton style.

    how can you get through 12 bars without changing into a D pentatonic then an E pentatonic position or are all the notes you need locked up in that fifth fret box?

    • @bluesguitarunleashed
      @bluesguitarunleashed  3 года назад

      Yes, I think... the simplest approach to a blues is to use nothing but I (in this case A) minor pentatonic through all 3 chords.

    time is to music as to what your heart beat is to life if you cant keep time and play solid rythym all those scales and technique is nothing more than noise

    This is great but the strings sounding against the fretboard is quite off-putting
