I ordered my wife the Gardyn 3.0 for Christmas. Since she is Vegan I doubt it will produce enough to be her sole source of food but it should be fun. Thanks for the video, I really hope it brings her the same joy that your's appears to!
How is your wife liking it so far? I'm currently thinking about getting one and have been researching like crazy on this type of aeroponic gardening system.
@@TommyMLeJust got done clearing out the first grow. Honestly, she didn't really eat anything off it (no idea why). I ended up maintaining it and it's awesome. The only one that never really produced anything to consume was the celery. I'm going to grow flowers now which should be really cool.
Can't wait to see your strawberries next month. What variety did you buy? Were they in rock wool or something else? If you have success with this I may do the same with one of my 3 gardyns. I have some in my Lettuce Grow outside. They are not doing so great. It's been so hot here on the gulf coast of FL zone 9B!!
I can't wait to show them!!! Here's what I got from Amazon: Fort Laramie Everbearing Strawberry www.amazon.com/dp/B01A7KW122?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details They were just wrapped in some damp paper (like newspaper I think).
@@cassiepalkovich3296 I put them in the open Ypod. You can see in the video that the strawberries aren't in a Ycube. Pause it around the 6:10 and 7:28 mark and you can see that they aren't sitting in anything. I'll highlight this next month and try to post a close-up pick on my community page soon.
Thank you for helping me make a decision on a gardening adventure

@@arollemd can you show how you placed them into the Gardyn? I’m having a hard time visualizing the bare root just resting in the opening.

have you ever had any trouble with gnats?
Yes, and I did a deep clean to get rid of them. I noticed, however, that certain plants attract/seem to come with pests.
