      @@C_Stories A 12 string produces a much fuller sound than a 6 string. Almost like 2 guitars at once but not quite because of the tuning. It also reduces the "twangy" sound that many spruce top guitars make. For me, there is much less stress on the fingers because the pressure is spread out. If you are just learning I would suggest a standard 6 string first. Learn to play a bit before going to 12. If there is a guitar or music store near you check out the difference.

    YES it is! You have to restring ALL guitars, some more than others. On 12 strings it's always the damn high G string that breaks it seems. I love those Earthwood Deluxe strings too! I like the Ultralights. I wouldn't cut all my strings at once though, but that is just my own preference. LOTS of pressure on that neck.

  • @jeffeldredge1608
    @jeffeldredge1608 Месяц назад

    It is no harder than a six string. Buy set of 12 strings. Light gauge or extra, regular or medium is not recommended.
    You are pressing two strings at each point, Just like when you learned to play a six and had to ensure your finger only touched the string you were pressing?
    Now you have two strings, Twice as hard? Yes.
    It takes getting used to. Will your fingers bleed, almost always, until you develop calluses.
    The result is a most beautiful sounding melody of guitars out of one. Practice Baby! I was stuck on rhythm playing. I grew up on ballad bands and players. They were all good to me. Name one, he was good.

    • @jack_orourke_sb
      @jack_orourke_sb 7 месяцев назад

      It would but you would probably want to get strings in pairs instead of octaves for that if you want to play requinto. There are also probably better guitars for regional Mexican music with a cutaway to help you reach lower on the fretboard if that’s what you want to do. It really depends on what style of guitar you like and how you want to play.

    Sorry, I had to ask:
    Who are all these confused Guitar owners asking whether re-stringing their guitar's is worth it?
    Holy crap, this thought made me laugh my a** off.
    Dude, if you own a guitar and play it, you are going to replace the strings.
    If you own the guitar but don't care, the question never comes into play.
    Now, taking into consideration the small subset of guitar owners that seldomly play enough to fully justify the small cost (relative to the cost of the guitar itself) of restringing their guitar.
    Well, the fact that I thought so much about this ad means that it was a success.

    • @DustyNonya

      I've known several guitarists who, sadly, are terrified to change their strings. One of which performed with one for years at open mics.
      I mean I've had the broken end of a G string in my face next to my nose so I kinda get it...but that was under full tension while playing it 😂😂😂. So tuning should be scarier for them...but apparently not.
