The most confident person I know just genuinely doesn't give a shit about other people's judgements and has very little need for other people's validation. It's better to work towards this mindset rather than faking confidence, you'll also feel happier and freer
One trick that i use for eye contact if you dont have a lot of social interaction is use eye contact when watching youtube videos. It helps a lot because it might seem like its to scary to do it in person but the more you do it online the more natural it comes in person.

😂 I’ve been told to be more confident because I use my hair to hide my face, keep my head down, and kinda slouch/hike my shoulders and walk faster. When I don’t, I’m the most arrogant person in the world and the way I walk becomes too sassy and I don’t have to say or do anything for someone to think that I feel I’m better than them because of simply uncovering my face and walking like a normal person would. I hate this world sometimes, everyone acts like they’re caring and just want to help you, but when you actually do become more confident (just using this situation because of the video, this could happen in any other situation) everyone hates you because “you’ve changed” “you’re too sassy and arrogant” they miss “the old you” and tear you down and when you become insecure again it’s right back to square 1
I'm doing this pretending thing for so long, like without even knowing. like when I was 10-12 I didn't want to go on stage in assembly and do comparing or any type of speech or message of the day, or even in functions I didn't want to perform anything but I was always included in everything so I used to practice for it at home but was still very anxious but before going on stage it was like a switch was turned on and I was suddenly a confident person because I always thought that no one can know if I'm really faking it or not, no one is noticing me, people have more imp things to do then care about whether I'm confident or not and honestly now that I'm older I can say it kind of worked. I was always an extrovert but shy but now I'm more confident and it's not pretending anymore, I'm actually confident tho I sometimes go back to that shy 12 years old but other times I'm confident. so fake it till you make it kind of worked for me.
