Mix with a few drops of gum arabic, a few drops of distilled water and optionally a drop of glycerine to make watercolour paint. Gum arabic ensures the pigment adheres to the paper and ensures the paint is rewettable. The glycerine will help stop cracking of the dried paint, especially if you make an entire half of it. Without mulling the paint the mixing won't be as thorough but for an experimental paint will be sufficient. The gum arabic mixture can hold a surprising amount of pigment.
