Welcome back! If you’re new, introduce yourself to the Savvy Fam ❤️ we love sharing ideas and what kind of deals we’ve been finding lately. Happy Tuesday!
Loved this video ...I have been doing alot with the remainder of our Easter ham.....pepperoni and ham pizza, ham and bean soup, even red beans and rice with ham and leftover sausage. Thanks for the ideas to use up the veggies as well!
Have you ever made a broth using the bbq chicken carcass from Costco ? It’s beyond delicious. Throw it to pot. Cover with cold water. Bring to boil then simmer for half an hour. Strain and use the chicken bits from the carcass along with the reserved clear broth to make a yummy chicken veg soup. Top it up with additional 2 cups of water ( bullion cube can be added) Add what you have in your fridge and or pantry. Diced carrots , celery , onion and or peppers. Add noodles or rice to the pot. Seasoning and dried or fresh herbs added to the the soup will make an amazing yummy soup. Cook until veggie and rice / noodles are tender. A package of ramen noodles will also do the trick for a quick homemade soup
@@savvysaute6578 Yes. I freeze the carcass until I feel like making the soup. Good plan for next time. That soup with a sandwich is an easy meal to make when you are up to it.
I've used those Madras lentils to make sloppy Joe's before. My husband had mentioned that they tasted like sloppy Joe's, so I decided to add them to 1/2 lb ground beef, diced peppers, etc. to make sloppy Joe's from half the necessary meat. It helps stretch the meat.
Thank you for the ideas with the rotisserie chicken. We bought one this week, and so far have used it for salads and chicken Alfredo pasta. I think we will use what’s left to make a smoked chicken salad for lunch tomorrow. We recently went from a family of 6 to a family of 4, so I am having to learn to adjust our meals accordingly.
That does make a difference! I was raised cooking for 5 and then when I got married it was a big adjustment. Those meals sound delicious! I’ve never heard of smoked chicken salad. Yum!
Hi from New Zealand 🇳🇿 I think Frooze balls are from here. Try finely chopped beets in Greek yogurt, it's sooo good! I think that may be the flavour your looking for!
I’ll try that! Thanks, Samantha! I didn’t know where Frooze balls are from but my kids especially love them. (My dryer* balls are from New Zealand, too!)
@@michaelapimenidou8648 hi! That is cool! The dressing from this other restaurant is actually something very different from tarama. I know they use feta, beets, and it very much like ranch dressing.
Loved this video we all have to use up all those leftovers these days lately it had been the Easter ham we had 26 pounds of ham I cooked 2 because everyone usually wants to take leftovers home well the ones that usually take leftovers didn't because we all bought hams at Aldi for .87 cents a pound well we ate leftovers for 5 days I finally froze the rest when all the side dishes ran out my kids were begging please mom no more ham and asking if they could have cereal. So I chopped it up for Mac n cheese with ham for summer when the kids are eating me out of house and home. I have gotten to the point I don't like going to the grocery store either they don't have what you want or what you want is to expensive to buy has you noticed chicken being hard to get in your area other youtubers have been saying they couldn't find chicken in your area I am in middle Tennessee and surprising I have been able to get it eggs is expensive but chicken is reasonable.
Haha “pleas, no more ham!” Lol I’m in East TN and I’m finding raw chicken just fine. But frozen breaded chicken is so hit or miss. Especially our fav bag is out of stock a lot. We are seeing a cream cheese shortage too (and price increase.)
@@savvysaute6578 there is a couple of other East TN youtubers and they were having a hard time finding raw chicken they were able to find it at Costco that's why I asked you about it. I look forward to your next video.

The lunches you make for your children are so cute. You're doing awesome in the use-it-up challenge!
Thanks! It’s been a great reset for us.
Love the video. I really enjoyed the vlog style at the end where we can see more of your family activites!
Thanks! I’m so glad. It made me tear up, I was feeling so sentimental. Happy Tuesday!
Omg the ranch cup idea is wonderful
We end up with extras so it’s something we have on hand anyway. Less mess! 💪🏼

Thanks! I should have saved the bones. I was too tired to deal with it but I could have froze it… thanks for sharing!

Is the Michigan restaurant with creamy pink Greek dressing Theo's in Warren?
The one I used to go to is in Utica. But they may have the same recipe!
