Speaking of sounds, Matt, for the fan noise graph, since you’re showing the colored decibel levels on the righthand portion, it would be cool to match the color of the value on the graph as well, instead of red only… a visual thing. From just having played for a couple of minutes with it in the shop, there are two things I absolutely hate 1) the power button sits left of the delete key, where insert should sit. 2) it comes with a dedicated hp omen gaming hub button...
That's actually a good thing to have the power button to the left of the delete key. When keyboards don't have num pads I typically push that right button which is what I'm used to on my keyboard for my desktop. You're not accidentally pushing the power off instead of delete. Just my opinion on that tho
This is a niche case and some people want different things when it comes to a gaming laptop but my Omen 16 was THE perfect laptop for me as going off to college, I had to leave my desktop behind but I still wanted to do gaming and I wanted something that can also be used as my daily driver for college and this laptop was perfect, particularly with styling that complemented both uses. If you want a gaming laptop with all the flashy lights and customization with aesthetics then I dont suggest this one because thats what it lacks with the only aesthetic lighting being the keyboard but for me who wanted something with a minimalistic design yet packs a lot of power, this was perfect and so far it’s been great everything from gaming sessions, doing assignments, and lasting me throughout the school day. If you’re in my situation, I suggest keeping this laptop in mind.

The chassis reminds me of the legion slim 7 so its probably a competitor of it. Both have a sleek design, great screens, powerful hardware etc. so probably should pick the cheaper of the two

I ordered the Acer Predator 16 with the exact mini led screen, cpu, ram, ssd, but it comes with the 165w RTX 4080 for USD $2500. This Omen is way too expensive. If I was gonna spend $2900 for a 4070 mini led laptop, I would rather spend $2160 on a Legion pro 7i with the 4080 or $2650 on the 4090 model. I got the Acer for the mini led display, otherwise I would've have gotten the Legion pro 7i with 4090.
1:50 magnesium alloy my ass, this thing is the sh1ttiest plastic case I have ever seen. Just tested it in best buy. Paying that money for this plastic shell is beyong insane, I have seen $700 laptops in best buy with all metal bodies... what a shame
some people prefer with chin, like me for example. cus i usually use monitor with higher angle, is hard for the neck to see with tiny chin and laptop always have lower angle

Hp has really been left in the dust. The build quality for their top tier is quite sad. So much flex for an expensive premium laptop.

bruh I have the lenovo legion 13900hx with 4080 for 2200...this thing is 2900?! HP hasn't gone out of bussiness is a miracle.
This has miniLED, so... 4080 HP Omen costs here in Germany also around 2200 Euro, same as the 4070 with Mini-led
