While you mentioned it, i was pretty shocked that MSI made the 14 inch for the Cyborg lineup...usually they didn't make a 14 inch laptop in a mid range category 😂
Last gen cyborg was e waste , underpowered GPU and CPU with shared single fan . The laptop was stripped on quality to save some bucks from top to bottom . I hope this gen is better.

Also AMD even with these new gen Intel chips is still supposedly the more efficient cpu... 2024 is becoming a great year for 14 inch gaming laptops
Agreed on the G14 being the one to beat. I'd say the main pro of the Omen though is that it's USB C charging by default. I wonder how close we can get to full power on the G14 powering it with a USB C power supply - especially considering the G14 has a 180w included power brick.
It'll depend on its thermals and performance for me to choose this instead of the Asus G14! Wish it came with a 4080 option too, though. Those extra 4Gb would do a lot.
4070 is a nice border line for G14...i saw the comparation between the 2023 and 2024 model, and damn! 2024 is almost only half the 2023 model in terms of thickness...and i kind of agree with Asus decision, cuz no matter how powerful a 14 inch gaming laptop can be. Hi Jarrod, don't you think a 2.8K display is too much for a rtx 4070 mobile? I mean, with that screen you're forced to play games at a very high native resolution - well above 1440p - and this puts a lot of stress into a rtx 4070 mobile which is comparable to a rtx 3060ti desktop in terms of performance. Alternatively you should lower your resolution from 2.8K to 2k or 1080p when playing games but accept a blurred subpar gaming experience. What do you think? Is that 2.8K display a big con for this gaming laptop?
Maybe it's just the camera, but it looks like the letters on that keyboard are hard to read as a result of the fancy RGB caps. Were they better in person? Or maybe that's just the white color scheme not agreeing with bright buttons.

What will happen to the victus 15 this year? can you review it if possible?
80W gpu ggs lol. Its definitely the maximum supported, and not what it will usually run at which should be around 60-70 watts, I mean what else could we expect with a 140W charger. This is will definitely be lacking compared to its competitors in performance by far.
Looking forward to your proper in-depth review
How many m.2 slots? User upgradable ram?
Does it have a wobbly screen like other omen laptop series?
the back is aluminuim ?
can you do comparison vs zephyrus g14
Dave2d is gonna love this thing
jared sounded sick while recording this
Nah. Might just be different mic and set up.
this or the new oled asus g14? which is better?
WAIT, so if OLED burn-in is inevitible - which 14 inch brand offers an IPS option instead? ASUS (G14)? Lenovo (Legion/Yoga)? HP (Omen)?
Lenovo Yoga has IPS and MiniLED options.
Wish it had a mini led screen option.
How about the speakers, are they good ?
i love how these gaming laptop nowdays have becoming an ultrabook, because ultrabook always provide low specs but with higher cost.
Well, i think the proprietary charging connector that Asus bring to the new Asus Zephyrus G14 got the point rather that stick with this limited type C power delivery capabilities
How many speakers does it have?
What about OLED burn in though?
are there 13 inch gaming laptops or 12?
did they refresh the hp omen 17 version?
Do we know the price of this beauty?
When's the full review coming??
Hopefully soon. We were initially told they were sending it to us in February and we still don't have it. We're hoping it'll be sent out this week.
@@JarrodsTechany update? Tbh really waiting for your review as many of youtubers are just sugar coating and im confused between legion slim 7i (16") and with this one as both having some disadvantage and some advantages (according to my requirements)
I wonder how this one compares to the new G14. Especially the CPU; the Ultra 9 versus the Ryzen 9
This year I've seen a lot of nice laptops for gamers and creators I like very much: Asus ROG Zephyrus G14, G16 and Zenbook Duo, Alien M16 R2, this HP Omen Trancend, Lenovo Thinkbook Plus Gen 5 and that white Legion 7i, MSI Stealth. It's disappointing Lenovo didn't come with any Meteor Lake on Legion and still I'm doubting if 8Gb VRAM on 4060s/4070s will be enough for the future challenges brought on by the next AAA titles!
It'll be good enough for the time being, especially on smaller laptops
Hey..
I want to buy a laptop for blender and games. I watched your videos and saw references to the Lenovo Legion Pro 5. I went to find out its price and found one, but it is not the same specifications as what I found in your videos. It is clear that you are a very good person in this matter, so I came to ask you for advice. ❤
Legion Pro 5i Gen 8 (16″ Intel), Core i7, 32GB, 1TB SSD, 16 inch
Do you think this laptop is suitable?
Still waiting DELL g15 2023 design at CES to came out to market
this is a really good one 🙂
side vent is important
