Your book here is the first time I've seen another's book and gone "HOLY SHIT I'd probably do one just like this!" Instead of finding some parts of their style that I like and not caring for much of the rest. Wow!! This is a DELIGHT to watch while my hands are busy
I have just started my book of shadows recently so you have given me some great inspiration. Thank you. I did however have to pause the video 3 times and take my headphones out to go see what the creaking noise was while you were showing us the elements only to realise that it was on the video! 😆
If you haven't been told this yet, a tip from an art journaling like me is if pages stick together like that, often due to modepodge. Rubb some clear or white candle vax on the sticky places and your problem is no more. :)
Man, I really do still have so many learned things to unlearn. You're the second person I've run across today on RUclips who combines bible/Christianity with witchcraft. I've been feeling a pull in both directions lately and I was fretting about it, all _these cannot go together, pick one!_ then decided what the heck and put up an enormous wooden pentagram on the wall right across from the shelves where my bibles are. XD I'm very much an "if it feels right, it's fine" sort of person, so I'm not sure why it sometimes takes me so long to give that permission to myself lol.
I don’t know if you saw it in there, but the dream I had early on in my journey showed me that I could blend Christianity with magick and basically I felt the energy I associated with Jesus/God/the Holy Spirit tell me it’s ok. So I just kept going! 😅
I love the way you have done this, and the way you look at the retrograde. I have never really understood them, but the way you see them and the positive way you can use them is new to me. Thank you. Blessed be
Fellow gemini here! I love your collage style! I haven't found anyone who's book is so similar in style to mine! Thank you for sharing! I have quite a few new ideas to add to my book now thanks to you :) I especially love the ideal sacred space photo cutout to match your hand! So clever!
This is absolutely inspiring! I just saw this. Now I hope I can do something special with my stuff. Whoo boy. How to collect all the notes I have taken over the years into one place would be an act of many many maaaaaany gods. lol - Love- Entie Vy
Oh this is so beautiful and interesting and creative. Im not so much into the witchy stuff, but as someone who is heavily interested in junk journalling and art journalling and writing, this is getting me so inspired. Thanks for the share! Looking forward to seeing more 💖
I love Witch's rune as well! It's by S.J. Tucker and they got some other really great songs as well, like Come to the labyrinth, you should check it out!
It appears to be based on a poem by Doreen Valiente who, in case you didn't know, was one of Gerald Gardner's High Priestesses and helped him re-do the Book of Shadows to remove most of the Aleister Crowley influences.
love your book and the way you have set it out :) i use a matt gel medium to protect my pages because it is a sealant it dries .. whereas Mod podge tell you to apply a clear acrylic sealer after to eliminate the tackiness, or you could try baking paper between the pages that might stop them sticking together , it would be such a shame if one day you couldn't open the pages .. good luck to you for the future :)
Just a tip I've seen some junk journal makers do this, if you want to make your own book you can bind your signatures and for the cover, if you aren't above/opposed to doing this, you can repurpose a hardcover from a book that isn't important to you, maybe some thrifted book. You can dress this hardcover up in any way you like. It's a good skeleton to work with. Oh and another thought, you could put wax paper between those pages that are sticking together because of the mod podge because eventually it will very likely mess up your pages if they are constantly stuck together and pulled apart
Thank you! I thought about using an existing book cover and actually created another book based on that premise. And the wax paper idea is perfect, thanks!
I truly feel I was lead to find your channel which I absolutely love.Thank you Goddess Hecate for this and also Aphaiawyn If i hadn't been lead to you I would never have found this beautiful song by S J Tucker Witches Rune. Many blessings to you from Melbourne Australia. p.s looking forward to seeing more of your work. Subscribed for life.
Your Book of shadows/ Grimsby is a wonderful work of creativity and art. I think Brigid would approve. No wonder she has called to you. Thank you for sharing this. Its Beautiful.
Thank you! It definitely is. I love working on this book because I know the more I work on it, the more energy I pour into it, and the more powerful a tool it becomes.
Had that same issue with pages sticking. I waited too long and ended up with pages stuck together and when I separated them I had bits of the paper that lifted up. After multiple touch ups and a few minor hissy fits later, I researched what to do. Best thing I've found is Tim Holtz's Micro Glaze. It comes in this tiny little jar and you're gonna say, no way am I spending $$ for that little bit, but seriously it just takes a minuscule amount on your fingertip. Rub it on the page then take a paper towel and wipe it down to get any excess off. I promise you won't regret it. I also found out wax works, too. If you can't get the micro glaze, use a plain white candle - no dye - and rub it on your page as a quick fix. I used a tea light candle. Love your book and hope to see more. Blessings.
Hey :) You can totaly keep protecting your pages with modge podge but to make them non sticky just pass a candle (roll the side on it) or wax on them and it shall be ok. ^^
Lovely video and inspirational too. I love the way it is well organised, this is one thing I seem to struggle with, so seeing yours will help me with mine.. I love the little pockets on some of the pages and different text`s of paper/card. I`ve been making notes to put into my book for a couple of years, and I feel now is the time to put it together. I started one, but I have decided to start another and use notes from the first one.. It is a lovely book you have made for yourself. Thank you for sharing it. :-)
Thank you for the kind words! I don't feel like my book is really organized at all besides a few sections like the elements and the sabbats. But thank you anyway!
I absolutely love this! Thank you for sharing your inspirational work! I love the charms as well as I'd never think to place book marks for indication of the different elements. As an aside, i have been drawing a lot of mermaids lately and I love drawing their boobies :)
I just posted a video of making my first grimoire and I’m so new to it that I’m really thankful I saved this you gave me some wonderful ideas thank you so much for sharing and hi I’m a new subscriber it’s lovely to meet you xx
Wow, your grimoire is so pretty ^^ 💗 I wish my own book of shadows was actually as pretty and creative as the ones I've seen on RUclips 😅 But at least it's completely mine, so it's still very personal and precious to me. Videos like these give me a lot of cool ideas how I can actually improve and decorate my book of shadows, though 👍🏻
This looks SO good! I'm shooting for this style too, bit have a 6-ring leather binder so I can move the pages around. Though now I'm thinking I need this style!
Do whatever works best for you! I originally thought I wanted a book with the post binding so I could move pages around, but after watching a video by Molly Roberts here on RUclips, I decided I wouldn't worry so much about organizing it, and it would organize itself organically. But I totally get wanting to move pages later, and I've seen some wonderful books that have that ability!
i’m restarting my book of shadows since i wasn’t happy with it. i hope to do better and put more effort into it. this time i think i’m going to write on sheets of paper and put them in a cool looking binder for now. :)
What a beautiful book, and so very inspiring. I have that fear of ruining or making a mistake on the page. Would love to see a make a page video if you ever feel the urge to share your creative process 😊 🌻🌻
So apocrypha or apocryphal writings are just considered "not canon" or not accepted as the word of God. There are "apocryphal" books included in the Catholic Bible that don't appear in the regular Bible and non-Catholic Christians call them apocrypha because they aren't considered canon in their denomination of the religion. So I decided to call my book and apocrypha to play on that idea. I have some Christian Witchy vibes in my practice, and most Christians wouldn't consider my book a real spiritual book. Or me a real Christian LOL
You can lightly dust the pages with so Airspun translucent powder to stop sticking. It's like $5 for a pretty big jar at Walmart.
Great idea, thank you! Now to find it... lol
@@aphaiawyn5361 baby powder / any setting powder also works!!! cornstarch too :)
The song you’re asking about the witches rune is by SJ Tucker.

OMG I'm so sorry! It was probably my bed!
If you haven't been told this yet, a tip from an art journaling like me is if pages stick together like that, often due to modepodge. Rubb some clear or white candle vax on the sticky places and your problem is no more. :)
OMG thank you, I hadn't heard that! I will definitely give it a try.
What a beautiful book!
Thank you!
Love the update!! You’re so creative with how you set up the pages.
Thanks so much!

Yes the Bible is used but don't get the king James version find an older one

christianity is evil......matthew explains chaos magick
Can you do a tutorial on how you make your books? Along with how you do pockets? I’d love to make my own and I really like the style of yours
Thank you! I can probably do that! I'll put it on my list of videos to make.
Beautiful work!! Greetings from Argentina!!
Excellent, thanks for sharing!
I love how visual it is! Plus the use of pockets just adds so much personality.
I love your Book of Shadows, so inspiring
Thank you!
I love the way you have done this, and the way you look at the retrograde. I have never really understood them, but the way you see them and the positive way you can use them is new to me. Thank you. Blessed be

Yay for geminis! Although I do view myself as more of a Taurus (my moon sign).
Lovely Lovely book!
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I really like this ans especially the way you did your seasons.
Very beautiful also our sun and moon are flipped 😊
You can wax your pages with beeswax to protect them and keep them from sticking. Also smells amazing.

I love Witch's rune as well! It's by S.J. Tucker and they got some other really great songs as well, like Come to the labyrinth, you should check it out!
Thanks, I will! I just couldn't remember the name at the moment :)

Omg so beautiful I love ittt, gave me so much inspiration. But I could never be that organized :( lol
You can do it! I don't really consider my book organized. The only thing I actually organized was the sabbats LOL

Honestly I search on Google images and print what I like!
Love your book, nice job.

Aww thank you! But none of those images are mine. I just save them from Google images off the internet. I like to pretend I'm artistic haha
What a beautiful book, and so very inspiring. I have that fear of ruining or making a mistake on the page. Would love to see a make a page video if you ever feel the urge to share your creative process 😊 🌻🌻
Great idea! I just have to figure out how to set my phone up in a way that I won't bump it while I'm working on my book!
@@aphaiawyn5361 there are some very sturdy snake arms on amazon that clamp onto the side of the desk that might work.
Wow 😍 your book is amazing
Thank you so much!
I'm intrigued! This is the first Apocrypha I've seen...does this have to do with like, hidden secrets from the bible? Or am I way off...very curious!
So apocrypha or apocryphal writings are just considered "not canon" or not accepted as the word of God. Rub candle gently over the pages you have painted, it stops them being tacky and sticking together.
omg this is so beautiful
Beautiful book. I like many of your ideas.
Brigid/Bríg/Bríde are usually pronounced "Breej" with a soft "j"
Good to know! I've heard it both ways and never know which one is correct.
