  • Come and see us on our road bike only trackday at Brands Hatch Indy Circuit. Kate is riding her Suzuki GSXR600 and Matt on his BMW S1000RR.
You wont be impressed by our speed but we enjoy it and that's all that matters!
See what we think of the bikes on track and whats different about an MSV Road Bike track day.

Just found your channel ! You have an awesome wife ! I helped a woman get started in road racing in 82 to 83. GPZ 550. She was capable of 8th to 15th. Road Atlanta and West Palm Beach were the 2 tracks I helped her at. Then she moved to Florida and we fell out of touch.
You guys need to do some trials schools especially Kate. It will accelerate the learning curve as the techniques are nearly impossible to learn properly on your own. A lot of the skills learned on a trials bike will help you with the road racing.
    Good luck !

Although it's been 15 years since my last track day I used to do at least 8 a year, mostly with No Limits, what I found out early on is that unless you are an exceptional rider a 600 is your best bet as a track bike at most British circuits, most people don't find the limit of a 600 never mind a litre bike, just a waste of expense. My favourite was the steel frame CBR600F, cracking little bikes, you can set them up to handle really well and they're good for 150mph, more than adequate for most people, I had 4 of them, a 92, a 94 and two 98s and I never paid more than 1200 quid for any of them.

Ah nice one. Yes, those Steelies are real good, I think there's a race series for them too. You're right, the 1000cc bikes make it easy and you learn real lazy habits. I can also testify that if you crash one they are seriously expensive to fix!

@@mattbikes46 yeah, there definitely used to be a race series for the old CBRs, a chap I know from kings Lynn , Peter baker, won the series multiple times then moved on to the thundersport series which he also won multiple times, I used to love watching Peter race in the rain because he was unbeatable, incredibly smooth.
