    If this is Sheene on 652cc suzi. Then he will be down on hp cos others were on 750's.
    The 652 was actually a bored-out rg500 essentially. I think the suzi 750 just wasn't quick enough so they came up with this.
    I went to a few Trans-trophy meets at brands. Best one for me was when the riders had to ride BSA Rocket 3's Triumph Tridents, Great days.
    So glad to see this. Thanks for uploading.

      I saw Dave Aldana at Brands Hatch,here in the UK back in the late 70's riding for the American Superbike team against the British Superbike team.He wore black leathers with a white skeleton painted on them.He had been banned from using them in the US by the AMA. The US won the race easily.

    • @ScaleRacing
      @ScaleRacing 4 года назад +1

      @@davidknowles3459 Dave was a real character like Barry. A different time.
      After that race at Willow Springs I went and chatted with him. Talked about watching him race in England at the Trans Atlantic races.
      Great time, fun days, fantastic memories. We shook hands and smiled.neither he or I won that race if I remember I came 5th on a Suzuki Katana and Dave 6th on a Honda Hurricane. Could have been the other way around. But I remember seeing Aldana on the back of his leathers and that spurred me on.
      Never raced with Barry, but did get past by him and Kenny Roberts at Paddock bend in open practice.
      Those were the days.

    Just as an aside... I've been a motorcycle nut my whole life, my father owned a Honda and Bultaco dealership in southern California and I idolized guys like Dave Aldana. Fast forward to last week, June 10th, 2024... I had moved way across the country to a little town of less than 20,000 people called Fayetteville, Georgia. I went to a neighborhood meeting of conerned homeowners who are trying to stop the installation of a powerline through our backyards... I recognized one man in the audience.. hmmm who is it? I went up and asked.. IT'S DAVE ALDANA!!! REALLY!!! We now live only 2 miles apart... Weird, small world!!!
