Mine would not start the first day that i got it. Got it to the shop and they i guess fixed it and now it is doing it all over again and it is back in the shop again. I made a video of what it is doing on my channel. I would turn the key to start and and got nothing, i would then turn it off and turn it back on and it would fire right up. It does this ALL THE TIME!!
The problem you mention is also made by my motorbike, but with two more problems. It knocks out the motor and burns excess gasoline. It takes me about 200 km!!
You're not alone, I've had nothing but issues with my speed 400 since I bought it three weeks ago. The engine cut out at 65mph in 6th gear, then numerous times in 2nd. Now it's currently in my garage unable to start with a load of warning lights on the dash and unable to detect a gear, I've requested to return it for a full refund.
Great review I bought a black Speed 400 recently, I downsized and I'm absolutely loving it. The Gold forks superbly match the black tank, the whole retro look with the aluminum side panels and badges is brilliant, well done Triumph. The bike is easily manoverable at 170kg, 80mpg, £5000, upright riding seat position, easily flat foot it at 5'8" and the 40hp is ample for what i need. 🙂👌 PS: Only thing I'll change is get the seat made softer, age thing and a rad guard.
Excellent stuff, be interesting to hear how you get on with it. My wife has now got one! She’s having a few back issues so needed something a bit lighter. Will def do some videos to show how she gets on with it👍
@@mattbikes46 There are optional bar end mirrors made from cast aluminium. The standard ones are also bar end mirrors but they have plastic housing. Hope this clarifies it.
Good review. I'm interested in one of these being a bit older (57) so definitely going to get a test ride
Excelllent stuff👍

@@mattbikes46 okay great look forward to that. Nice quiet roads from 8pm tonight so I'm going out for a ride 😎
Enjoy, roads are going to be quiet👍 not quite so much here as we live in Wales😂
Ride safe👍
Built in Triumph's factory in Thailand. Only Indian bikes built in India- with slightly less spec.
Ok, that makes sense👍 Thanks.
Bar end mirrors are standard.
Ah Ok cool, appreciate the confirmation👍
On the Triumph website you could add them as an extra, guess I should have checked with the dealer.

OK great, it all makes sense now👍
Have any of you checked this bike, how many kilometers you drive with a full tank?
I didn’t get the chance to check the range sadly, am sure someone will be able to comment.
