I love tow trucks. All the rigging, supports, cables, and pulleys. When they arrive on a scene they don’t ask but demand respect and understanding of the sheer pulling power they possess.
Just like any operator, a good one operates their equipment, a great one makes the equipment work for them.
It sure is great to see someone re-purposing an old Holmes 750. You just don't see them old Holmes working anymore. I worked for a company in the 70's, operating, first a Holmes 500, on a Chevy C-40 chassis. The truck was too top heavy, and had a tendency to roll over, constantly. I convinced the owner to give me a 480, on a C-30
The company owner built all his own Heavy Duty trucks. The best one I liked, was a 1961 GMC single cab-over, that started out as a tandem steer, single drive axle tractor. When George bought it, he stretched and strengthened the chassis to a Tri-axle, (5 axles all together) with a Holmes 850. We had a very large front bumper, loaded with old used wheel weights, for counter balance. We had to remove the front bumper, when it came to inspection time, because it put the truck at 41 feet, and 40 foot was the max in Florida.
I just wanted to tell you THANKS, for bringing back that Holmes 750 to life.
Love the old trucks and videos. Thanks for sharing. Stay safe

This work you're doing is my kind of work. Many years in the truck body industry, welder by trade and migrated into hydraulic mechanic in Ottawa. Now enjoying life in the OKV.

Hi Mr Davis. Thanks for posting.
Always first class operation
Looks good Jamie can't wait to see it finished I enjoy the video's and show thanks
Great Job Jamie. Top Class.
Gotta love the Jamie Davis Mobile Museum 😏😁 love the trucks you have
I’m glad that you appreciate the older trucks and make room for them in your fleet. I feel that just because a truck is old doesn’t mean it’s not useful any longer. You mentioned that the company would try to keep their trucks painted and repaired...I hate when I see a nice wrecker or semi that is in need of repairs but is still driven daily. I do understand that some repairs take time to schedule and make, it I’m talking about those that use duct tape to hold the lights on or just let broken parts flop around for days/weeks at a time. It shows that they don’t take pride in their ride. Those are companies I wouldn’t use at all. I love to see old rigs still in use.
Love the videos. Hope you all have a safe winter
Love the show I’m still with you from season 1 would love to visit one day
ALWAYS 2 thumbs UP, Mr. Davis !!

Please keep your daughter busy with the videos. I love watching the updates and projects. I miss watching Highway Through Hell.
Seeing the action. You look happy and healthy. How is Sammy doing,
Does he still look like the Old Man of the Arctic?
Hi Jamie and family / colleagues,
Talking about projects in the pipeline, I would love to see you get your hands on the old Holmes wreckers ( like Mighty Mo) you and Paris spotted when you were borrowing tools, collecting a bridge bashed trailer.
Great TV show, great RUclips..... have a great Christmas, stay safe.
Best wishes from Southampton England
That goes to show you are a very smart man! My mom used to tell me “don’t put anything on your plate that you aren’t going to eat “🙏❤️😎🇺🇸💯
Thank you Jamie and Brianna.
I ever love the Holmes 750s wreckers
Nice to see the show basically Saturday Sunday Monday
Hi Jamie LOVE the videos PLEASE tell your daughter Thank You for doing them. And keep it up PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I love your tv show ! Greetings from France 😬🤘🏻
Over watching several of your episodes seeing the struggle having to separate vehicles from each other. All I see is you guys reaching for the k12 or other cutting tools that cause sparks. And almost every time there is flammable fluids. If I may make a suggestion. The jaws of life cutting and spreading combo would be a great tool to add. In the past it would require the hydraulic line to operate but now they have them as battery operated. They are expensive but worth the cost. Be safe and have a Merry Christmas
thanks for the update !!
It would be really cool to see the ol 750 in action when you get it done! Looking really nice!
I was happy to see a new video!!!
Really wish we could still watch your show in the states
love it !
Great to know you are in business.
Really enjoy the videos
We appreciate your daughter making great videos
"Decent Jimmy Decent"
These BTS style videos can be even more interesting than the tv show because it’s real and not edited for drama. Real life is priceless over drama. We get to see You in a different light, where your passion is. Having new equipment is nice, but trying to afford truck payments is just too much stress especially with competition and a slow Economy. Just because something is old doesn’t mean you throw it away. I love that you rebuild the older trucks.
There’s a Holmes after market place parts, many new Holmes parts also down here in Tennessee if interested....I bought parts and complete rebuild the gearbox for 1.
Cool 😎
Keep up the Good work
i love your show
Jamie's a beast 🤪..hes like me I love old iron
I wish you guys would bring your catalog of shows to Amazon Prime Video!
Great video jame! From ohio
Hello, Friends, Saludos desde bucaramanga Colombia, Latinoamérica
Me gusta mucho su trabajo y los videos que suben, SOMOS GRUEROS
Coastline trucks are 46, 47, 48, 49, and 50. HR 46 is done that unit had a quick swap added a few months ago. 47 is in the shop that truck will be after HR 50 if you watched Season 7 you know what happened to it. Jamie had to pull a wreck out that was in deep 007 was there 47 was there, and so was The General and Mighty Mo this was before he got Mack, Lucy, and Rotator. When he pulled the wench broke and the cable snapped and it bent the bolters. Because of this Jamie has to replace the boom and the wench and get 47 back into service. 48 is Ken's flatbed it is still in service. 49 was Bruce's tractor but that is now assigned to the Hope fleet it will be replaced by a 480 Holmes wrecker which is currently in paint and will be released in the next update. HR 50 is the truck in this update the truck is finished it is just missing its outboards. Jr. is currently rebuilding the transmission with Brian and soon it will be back in service. Then we have Bruce's Truck and the others on the list but we will not get an update on them until months from now.
Sharing to the hth group now
Appreciate it!
Jamie how about some "Before" pics of this truck? And how is Bruce's truck coming?
I think everyone is interested in Bruce's truck. Haha.
Mr Davis I like the show and I am truck driver and a heavy tow driver and it is fun and I will be moving to bc in 4 years
Like you said you should get a time lapse camera for the next build to catch that progress .
greetings from holland
50 is done all that is left is to put the equipment inside it, install the transmission on the outboards, and send it out. Next on the list is Bruce's truck they still need to put the wrecker on. In the last update 46 is finished and it is on a job Jamie sent it LA to pick up a tractor it will be back soon.
I really do want to see the vidoes of that wrecker getting worked on and then the final start up and roll out. please keep making video and uploading
Hi Jamie, have a question, when we move drilling rigs in Alberta on Icy roads, we put both sets of tire chains on. I see you usually only put one set on. Any particular reason. Thanks Bob
just a suggestion about making these video's to do a ride on with some of the drivers or a in truck camera where they can see the day to day operation of what is going on in the davis's family as there seems to be an interest in watching these things at almost 85k subscribers you could use who ever is driving the chase vehicle as a remote camera operator and edit down what they have going on and dyring the sower months maybe show what is happening on some of these long- haul recovery operations even though they seem like an everyday event to a driver they are an experience for those who do not get to see the country and easy to do with the dash camera and recording system's that are out there i am not saying in every truck but maybe as i mentioned earlier the chase car NS go-pro on the driver of course with being under contract to do a "show" you may ned to have some permission there but on an individual using a go-pro i believe you would be ok especially since this is not for tv but only for youtube use ,,,,,,,,,,,,,happy to see you making these video's for your dad and showing us what is not "always" seen on tv the REAL DAVIS TOWING show as always is the behind the scene's where personal life meet showmanship meets real world,,,,,,,,so i do hope that you try and put these clips out at least once a week they don't have to be a big thing could be only 10-15 min long but i am sure you will have footage some time's even when edited down will cause it to be on the 30min end of time scale freel good and put it out there let your audience decide on like or unlike either way will be good for however it effects the algo rhythms on youtube ,,,,,,,,,yes this has gotten long but i sense doing this is good for you the business and industry who knows maybe some you your friends in the industry will take your lead and also do this for their companies or send you videos
I can not wait to see this old iron rolling down the road. What engine and trans are in it?
Hello Jamie.
Question how's Bruce's old truck coming along ? is that on the back burner for now?
Video’s were released with Bruce’s old truck, if you would have watched the videos you would have been disappointed, painstakingly went over the Cummins engine and the transmission and painted it all nicely, then the reveal came and it was a different engine and transmission etc. I have no problem with this but why show the videos going through the old engine and transmission. A lot of credibility was lost there. I realize it’s a reality show, but make it believable and factual. Makes you wonder does he do any of the restoration himself or is it all farmed out. Disappointed in what I thought was a good show.
@@gerryspang5917 but that is the network at fault not Jamie. As he is just running his company and being filmed.
👍👍
If the 5 Star General is ever looking for a new home, I got a stall to stash it in!
Jamie get all the trucks on the road it will make you more money
Going to put led light bar on it
Hey JAMES it’s been long time since updates on Bruce’s and other old iron
Can you go through what trucks you have in your fleet? Still have the "Army Truck?"
Will this truck get used in front line service in the same way as The General and Mighty Mo ?
Is this the coastline truck that Hugo used in one of the early seasons?
Hey I wacth your show love it. What is your oldest truck you own?
For the next restoration after Bruce's truck can you do a time laps from start too finish watch the welker farms channel they have time laps restorations for there equipment might be a good idea
Hey Jamie, why is Kelly running around Chilliwack in Mission towing's big wrecker ?
WOOF. 🐻
Nice update. You said the cab of the Western Star has been done, but it's not red as the rest of the fleet. Why?
These vids are a nice insight into the business
Lets have one a week
Are you putting the old school warning rotating lights or your putting led warning lights? To be honest I think you should put both like the rotating lights on top,and led mounts on the grill, and on the rear where the taillights are and the sides it would look really nice
When you going to be back on the weather channel
question
will you be puting a lighting package on it like strobe lights?
Love that ole Star Mr Towking Is she Cat powered? Or Red Top?
Jamie!!!! Did you buy a untouched NOS Holmes 440!
When is the show come back on i really like wht you all do
