Big thanks! I should go back there to practise some more sliding. Great asphalt. I think I've got the magic slide pretty much nailed and that's the perfect spot to really put it to the test. 🙂
Do you mean the powerslide or powerstop? (I don't do a powerslide in this video, that's why I ask.) I presume you mean the powerstop, like I did. It isn't that difficult. The trick is to turn so aggressively that your wheels slide a bit. But it takes some daring and a lot of knee bend to pull it off. The easiest way to learn it, is by placing some cones in a curving line, so that you make a gentle turn when you follow them. Make the turn sharper step by step, almost bending the curve into a spiral. That way, you'll have to turn more aggressively each time. At a certain point, you'll feel your wheels are starting to slide a little bit. Work on that, build up confidence and if you keep practising, you'll be able to powerstop whenever and wherever you want. 🤘
Good question! If you want a frame that's also usable as a three-wheel setup, then the Endless 90 could be interesting for you. That frame supports both 4x90 and 3x100. But if you don't like changing wheels or don't like a 3x100, then the Rockin' 490 could be something for you. The Rockin' 490 is a UFS frame that comes with an adapter for 165mm skates. That means you can mount it on two different types of boots, giving you more flexibility. It those reasons don't provide any help in deciding which frame to choose, just follow your gut feeling. Do you like the sleek design of the Endless 90 or can't you resist the golden shine of the Rockin' 490? 🙂
@@TheRollingRaptor thanks tim!! do you happen to know 1. which one has more rocker, and 2. which has the lower ride height? will endless 90s be taller since they have that extra 3x110 set up? (I dont intend to skate 3x110, as far as I know) Also, I think I see that the rockin frames have a 165 mount now, not needing an adapter anymore! which is great
@@amyleesuits To me, the rocker feels pretty similar. I do think the Rockin' 490 is slightly more rockered, but I wouldn't dare to state that as a fact. From what I read, the ride height should be about the same. I have the Endless 90 Trinity, not the 165mm, so I can't compare myself. But this is what skate shop Sliding Tiger says: www.slidingtiger.eu/en/Home/accessories/EBR-FRM-90 And yeah, you're right, the Rockin' 490 now also comes as a 165mm frame. Looks nicer too. 🙂
All i can say is that the bigger wheels on a 165 mounting do not add any more ride height. The wheels are so perfectly aligned as possible, that you will be as low as with 4 smaller wheels since wheel 2 and 4 are where the mounting points are will be free.
If you're on Facebook, there are several groups that connect people from Brussels, Ghent, Antwerp... I think there should be some for Liège and Charleroi as well - but not sure about that. Maybe you've got to start a new Facebook group to connect to people. That's what I did in Ghent (with Inlineskaters Negenduust) and it kind of worked, with ±350 members now.

@@kingejamestv4932 No sweat. ;-)
@@kingejamestv4932 Good luck! Bill Stoppard has some excellent tutorials for learning the powerstop.

How long can you skate in a day? PS: very nice vid!
Thank you! 🤘 To answer your question: sometimes I’m literally skating all day long. But work and family life often don’t allow that luxury. 😅😎
