    This might be the most clear / concise explanation for the driver I’ve seen. Extend on backswing by opening the rear shoulder to the sky. Swing the rear shoulder under the chin. Keep head over the rear knee on follow through. Love the visual / explanation of the club face.

    This teacher is the first SAT instructor to make driver look nice and normal, not weirdly tilted, delofted, or unnatural. The high hands on driver and the long finish (not abbreviated) is a key to this particular video. I've read the SAT book and been practicing for years, and the driver is a real mystery, but this instructor demystifies the driver for SAT users. My irons are flush, squeezing the ball against the ground and feeling the pinch of ball on ground is a beautiful feeling, and the driver doesn't allow for any feedback from the ground, so I struggle with any teed ball.

    Taking the sway out of the back swing and the sway out of the the down swing has improved both iron and driver strike and consistency. Playing partners wonder where the old 100 plus player has gone. Game is a lot more fun with great ball flight and switching around the good hits being 1 out of 5 to now being 4 out of 5 for good hits vs miss hits.

    another great lesson Jess, i have dabbled now and then with stack and and tilt over the years and at one point i became too flat in the backswing and then came an ugly over the top blooter at the ball!!!!!. So I switched back to conventional swing and got myself down to 4 Handicap here in the home of golf, St Andrews. I am now 70 years old and play off 6 using the traditional golf swing. But I find it more difficult to hit the draw now, I just hit it straight!! But I miss the draw especially here in the windy conditions In Scotland and now when I try to hit the draw I get an ugly pull hook!!!. I also am registered now with Tom Saguto and enjoy his teaching very much, you probably know he is stack and tilt as well.

    Jess, I’ve been playing with stack & tilt for nearly a month now. Your channel has been a big help. My irons are hitting beautifully, long, high and straight. My hybrid and fairway woods are stronger than ever. My driver, on the other hand, has gone haywire. I am skying the ball several times a round. Ball marks are clearly on the front top of the driver head. I haven’t done this since I took up golf 6 years ago. Prior to trying the S&T method my drives were solid, about 230+ yards carry with a bit of a fade. I’ve checked my tilt. Straightened my left arm. Tried moving my grip around. Tried hinging my wrists and keeping my wrists stable. Keeping my weight forward. To no avail. The top of my new driver is getting banged up. Any suggestions for me? Thanks, Jess. Skipper from Texas

    • @JessFrankGolfAcademyBocaRaton
      @JessFrankGolfAcademyBocaRaton  3 года назад

      Yes sir Skip! You need to add more side tilt at address. You are just hitting too much down at the ball. A little more hip slide to the target will help you side bend or tilt on the downswing. Have listened to, and watched, a lot of training on golf. For 90%, it not only sounds alien, but made up. Made up in the sense that the person showing what they do, knows what they do but they come up with all sorts of ways to try and get their point across, it makes sense to them but lost of their audience. However, everything that Jess is saying is understandable and makes sense. It’s logical, it’s repeatable, it can be practiced without trying to overcome some arcane jargon. It’s making me better. It allows for small improvements along the swing. It works!

    So basically, your stack n tilt driver swing is less punch shot off front post and more dual post swing with the weight shifting caused by the arm swing and not deliberate at all - or a Golf Machine dual post swing of which there are millions of correct variations. But not a trail leg post swing of which there are millions of correct variations. So NOT REALLY S&T AT ALL.

    Jess, I gave you a dislike on this video because it is profoundly disingenuous to intentionally omit what you did with your right elbow. Your driver swing has two planes. In the backswing plane, your swing is more upright due to the positioning of your right elbow relative to your torso. On the downswing, you clearly manipulate, or shallow, your right elbow down toward the ground & closer to your torso so you swing on a flatter plane. Please be more thorough and more professional.
