It looked a bit tight getting out at the start and i love the way you look after everything as you pull everything down look forwards to the next job stay Safe Steve and thank you for sharing .
Hi Steve, wishing you the best for all the good work you do…. I’m a Wiltshire chap and love the scenery….. see you like it also. Don’t go working too hard buddy… again keep up the great work 😊
Nice job again Steve. Interesting to see the fifth wheel attachment in play. Looked like there wasn't much room between you and the artic going the other way on the road leading up to the industrial estate. Quite a narrow two way road. Thanks for sharing.
Very interesting thanks Steve. Looked a more difficult job than just with a normal tractor unit towing because of the extra length. You are so methodical in everything it looks so easy, but it also means it is done right and safely. Always enjoy your vlogs.
Oops , had similar a few days ago here in sunny Edinburgh .. skip lorry driver clearly forgot he had 3 empty skips onboard .. lorry was wedged under railway bridge with front wheels a few feet off the ground
Thanks very much for watching the videos , i try and find something a bit different to film every week. Please feel free to come over and have a chat if you see me again.
Great driving steve you make it look so easy, everything you do is done with care, experience, precision, professional , always a pleasure to watch!. see you on the next one.
Good job Steve as ever, always best when they are empty or turning left or right tend to end up going straight on with the front wrecker wheels floating in mid air lol
Oh and where poss leave ratchets to nearside so if u have to stop and retension due to settlement you are working the safer side . New truck looks great Steve
Hy Steve great vid of the knackered trailer going for inspection before scrapping after the bridge strike👍😂😎, I’m surprised that you threw the straps over the trailer hook side, rather than strap side, as always get moaned at when throwing straps over anything hook side as the are always wrapped to throw strap over then hook under to ratchet down.
Hi Dave thanks for commenting, tried to work and film from offside of trailer as to keep companies name that was printed down nearside of other curtain off screen. As you say would been safer to have ratchets on nearside in case needs re tightening on journey and your not down the offside off traffic.
Another interesting video, cheers Steve. When you mentioned the height of the trailer and that you were taking it to Wiltshire, I instantly thought "I hope it isn't Westbury! Loads of low bridges around there!" Then you cut back in with "Just arriving at Westbury......!". I bet your heart fluttered a teeny bit when that gas bottle clanged! Mine did! Spot on 😀😀👍👍 Not having a dig here, far be it for me to tell you how to do the job, but after my first experience of having to tighten a couple of loose straps (ratchets on the offside) on a motorway hard shoulder, I always put the ratchets on the nearside........! I did notice that you diplomatically avoided filming the nearside as much as possible out of respect for the trailer owner though, and that it would be impossible to throw the strap over without showing something...(No names, no pack drill, but I recognised the livery! 😉😉). Was this on Monday or Tuesday this week? In Norwich we had 39-40 degrees on both days, but I was lucky enough to be on a 2 day course that was held in an air conditioned environment, but when the reception doors opened......... I winced when I saw the trailer and the pile of ratchets and straps, and remembered all the times my eyes stung from sweat, and the hour or so with the aircon flat out (aka windows and sunroof wide open in the "good ole days"!) once I got mobile afterwards when I had to do the same! Fair play bud. How's the new steed faring so far?
Hi Simon thanks for watching and commenting. Good tip on keeping ratchets on nearside didn't think whilst filming , it would of been worth a mentioning that. Truck going well ,take care.
Enjoying the video Steve. Uncoupling the trailer is certainly a lot easier than undoing the caravan from the car🤣. As the 5th wheel is greasy, try putting a plastic carrier bag over it😂.
Hahahaha saw ya on west wilts est tried to wave but ya was to busy looking for spectra sure is a nice looking recca ya got there now chap keep her safe 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Hi Dipsy, unfortunately I was asked to remove it, customer not happy with video seeing their coach being towed. Sorry you missed it, thanks for watching the channel.
Struck one of the most hit bridges in the south. Big signs, signs that flash. Not the first that falls over, I believe the previous one on it's side at that location was a container.
I drive a wag and drag, do you also have the ability to pull that style of trailer with a different adapter? Really interesting Steve. Loving the content 👍🏻
Hi thanks for watching, should be able to connect to a standard ring type coupling for wagon and drag, its hopefully visible underneath 5th wheel coupling in film.
I wonder why they didn't move this with an ordinary tractor unit? If the coupling is OK I can't see what difference it makes but I suppose it's to do with insurance. A couple of years ago a driver hit some trees with his box van in the yard where my workshop is. Only the box front was damaged but he called a low loader out, seemed crazy to me as after loading it was 4 ft higher than if he'd driven it back, and it still had to go the same route.
@@ericwalsh3200 not necessarily as the driver probably does the route everyday with a lower trailer, n that particular day he had a higher trailer n without thinking went his usual route under the low bridge not realising til to late the trailer was higher than usual trailer, as I’ve been there when on buses, do a pacific day in day out for around 3 weeks, the jump on a different service similar route but went same route been doing all week prior, but most driver who go under low bridges are just following twat navs that aren’t set to correct height settings or are not looking at signs properly and the roads
Im on heavy haulage, have been for years now but Recovery work was always one job i wouldn't have minded having a go at.
Great video as usual mate 🤘
It looked a bit tight getting out at the start and i love the way you look after everything as you pull everything down look forwards to the next job stay Safe Steve and thank you for sharing .
Thanks Mohammad your very welcome.
Another awesome tow job done. It was done right and done safely.
Thanks very much for watching Alan.

My 3yr old son thinks the driver that crashed in to a bridge is very silly 😂 love the videos dude
Thanks for watching Michael, happens all too often mate.
Good job Steve as ever, always best when they are empty or turning left or right tend to end up going straight on with the front wrecker wheels floating in mid air lol

Thanks for watching Thomas, glad you enjoyed it.
Hi Steve, excellent video as usual, can we see more of the driving parts as i like to hear the truck engine.tks
Hi Thomas thanks for watching , yes i would also like to hear truck engine, very quiet Euro 6 engine i am afraid but goes well 530hp.
Great video mate 👍👍
Thanks for watching George , glad you liked it.

Hi Eliot thanks for watching.
Steve was there video the other day ? As it seem to have gone before I could watch it
Hi Dipsy, unfortunately I was asked to remove it, customer not happy with video seeing their coach being towed. Sorry you missed it, thanks for watching the channel.
@@HeavyRecoverywithSteve thanks for getting back
Was a good vid too tbh
*Love the vids Steve keep it up!!!*
Thanks! Will do!

Hi Tom thanks for watching, yes well known bridge, happens all too often there.
That looks like you have bonded with your truçk very well , neat recovery..
Thanks Gary for watching , still going too wrong lockers lol.
New truck looks good, Steve! Does it have Air Conditioning? Glad the driver is OK, too bad for the load and trailer. Keep cool!
Hi Ricky thanks for watching, yes truck Air Con working well that day, yes driver was ok .
Hi steve good job
Thanks for watching.
Nice job with the fifth wheel attachment, and quite a lovely drive.
Stay cool out there!
Thanks Seth for watching as always.

How you getting on with the new truck ? Love the videos
Thanks for asking, getting on well with truck, glad you like videos.
You forgot put trailer high on high indicator in your cab :)
Hi Adeks thanks for watching, truck sat nav set to 16ft done its job avoid low bridges on route , well worth the money.
The driver of that didnt check his height or his route
@@ericwalsh3200 not necessarily as the driver probably does the route everyday with a lower trailer, n that particular day he had a higher trailer n without thinking went his usual route under the low bridge not realising til to late the trailer was higher than usual trailer, as I’ve been there when on buses, do a pacific day in day out for around 3 weeks, the jump on a different service similar route but went same route been doing all week prior, but most driver who go under low bridges are just following twat navs that aren’t set to correct height settings or are not looking at signs properly and the roads
that must be a night mare dragging a trailer behind such a long lorry
Hi Ian thanks for watching , not too bad mate, its just the height with trees my main worry when towing these double deck trailers.
There a bridge in Melbourne, Australia (pronounced Melbin) that makes box truck convertibles it gets hit lots.
Hi Jozua thanks for watching, this trailer also hit a well known bridge for accidents.
Rip camera lens
Hi Ryan , found out was just screen protector that had cracked lucky escape this time.
Some farmer will take that and turn it into a flat top And put some behind some 300 hours power tracker looking at it
Thanks for watching Iain , plenty of farms in Wiltshire.
Why not drive just like all the world does, on the right side of the road??? This is strange
Thanks for watching.
Love your videos, but can't get rid of this bizzare feeling.
