Wes, I've been searching for this exact answer for an hour! Thanks so much. I'm brand new to DIY repairs, and the Bank # was NEVER explained to me (until now). [UPVOTE]
pleasure to listen to you. Clear and making sense. And not one word more then what is needed. Some videos spent a quarter of their time talking off topic or about something totally useless. Again. Pleasure to listen to you.
Well I went to the same website you did, even though I'm not a Wisconsin resident. It yelled at me at some point along the process, but it showed me other states similar services. Sure enough, I clicked on my states link and eventually got to the online Chilton repair manual...awesome! I had no idea this service existed, thanks!
Dude, such a great video. I pulled out my library card and logged into my local public library website and was able to navigate to databases and found Chiltons in there. Since my library subscribes, I was able to access it for free. Thanks man. Now I have to explore the other databases they offer.
Great video. I couldn't access the ARRC that you were showing, but being a student there is a similar database ("Auto repair source") accessible through my university library available through my student tuition. I had no idea this existed, so thank you for making this awesome database known. Much appreciated.
Great video just to know about the different banks and sensor designations. Only if so many other online tutorials were as clear. Thank you for posting it.
this doesn't work for me. I live in Illinois and the webpage now asks for you to log in with a library card..... anyone from out of state able to use this method still?
That helped me so much. I learned something too. I feel like a mechanic. I smudged some grease on my face a little. Oooooohh. I'm getting lucky tonight.
i got the basic tuneup done but should i replace both front and rear o2 sensors on my civic 2000 hatchback dx, 220k kms? would they improve gas mileage or its a waste of $. they are $100 each.
Dude that site is filtering ip address , i can't log on unless i have id library card card number >>>>any similar website , you are 100% right the biggest confusing thing while i am repairing is to locate o2 sensor
I'm having problem with my vehicle I just took it to AutoZone and it showing on the machine under the dashboard it showed the 02 sensor and Catalytic converter .. the person that was helping me told me one of them has to be the problem. This morning I saw oil under the car I look under the Toyota I don't see no leaking but there was another car before me the person left their car there for 4 months and did not work so I might be confusing their problem with my car. Any advice😓😞😭😫
thanks for the info, but what if the firing order is in a straight vertical line goes from 1- 6, starting from the front? where should the bank 1 and bank 2 side sensors be?
Hi Wes, On my 2004 honda civic I had the codes PO134 and PO135( as well as PO325) read when my check engine light came on. I understand that both 134 and 135 codes are O2 sensor codes, but how do I determine which one if both codes are read? In my car there's only an upstream sensor(which is at the top of the exhaust i believe) and a downstream which is below. Also, is this a serious problem? Can I drive the car and expect no serious damage to occur?
I have 2007 RAV4 V-6 that has the check engine light on, the VSC light on, and the slip indicator light on. I had auto parts store reset the computer and the lights went off and the cruise control worked fine and I hoped I was in the clear. Ten minutes later lights back on and no cruise etc. My question is what part or parts do I need to replace to solve this issue? Thank you
A friend's RAV was doing the same thing. I got some dielectric grease and pulled off the connector for the Transmission Control Module. Put some grease on the end of the connector and reinstalled. After resetting check engine light, it hasn't come back on and it's been a few months. Hope this helps.
What happens if my Cylinder 1 and 2 are on the same side? I have a Bank 2 Sensor 2 code, but I don't know if its the sensor on the driver side or passenger side cat.
please how many air fuel ratio sensor does 2006 Nissan Altima 2.5s special edition has? Mine has one and im getting a service engine soon light on. thank you
Hi, how are you?y father has a 2003 Ford Windstar. Its like the minivan that Ford should if never made. He needs a O2 oxygen sensor. I want to get a aftermarket but I was told that I have to check several sensors to see if they work. Would you happen to know or where I can get that information? Thanks
Hey I tried checking that website and I'm not too inclined when it comes to checking diagrams and things like that on databases now I know Bank ones are before the Cadillac converter but if it's a deal wait see which is dual cam is the left and the right still bank one no matter what side of engine or for instance 1998 Ford Taurus the bank one supposedly is on the right side it's a 24 valve engine I'm wondering if you could help me out a little bit or give me a link to a website a little easier than the county database to find the proper information
Hi very important question. How about if both cylinders 1 & 2 are on the same side?? Very confusing! I have a 2003 Ford Taurus 6cyl and cylinders 1 & 2 are on the same side. Can you help me please! Thanks
What about bank 2 sensor 2? I have a 2005 Toyota Sienna. So it will be after the catalytic converter? But how will I tell it apart from the other downstream sensor?
I am a disabled and this video is great up to where you go to county cat . Any body outside wisconsin can not use it . It there a way around it as I really need the info to help repair my disabled equipment jeep it has a error of bank 2 sensor 2 .
Kimberly Johnson You can change the make and year to suit your vehicle by simply altering the web address. In the link he provided, change "toyota" to whatever make your car is, and change "04" to the last 2 digits of the year your car is. Example, mine is autorepair.about.com/library/firing_orders/bl-ford-firing-03.htm ... hope this helps Edit: Links work but I can't get the diagrams to show
I LIKED THE VIDEO, but have a Q. I have a carmd that tells me the o2 sensor, po135. Will that make all my lights come on in my dash? anti lock, abs, battery light, even my 4 wheel drive buttons wouldn't work. battery shows good charge. gmc, 2005 sierra, 4 wheel drive.
Hi I'm having a problem buy that oxygen sensor in Amazon they shipped me wrong one tell me how a look for it my code po174 bank 2 Toyota sienna 2006 le front wheel drive
Great explanation, Wes! Question: If I have pretty much determined I have a condition pointing to an 02 sensor replacement, should I not go ahead and replace the other sensor? In other words, shouldn't I replace them in pairs? Yeah, the #1 sensor (firewall side) is much harder to get to and the easy thing would be to only replace #2 (radiator side) But I'd rather just do the work once.
it says on the website that im not a winconsic resident which is true but do you know how to bypass this or could i have a login name and pass to use thanks.
From Norway i am not Abel to access the se sites. Can Anyone pls assist me : I need to locate upstream/sensor 1 for my Mazda 5 2010. diesel 110 Hp RF? 🇳🇴

It is twice costly in compare to Downstream Sensor. ) 3.Downstream Front Sensor(B2S1) 4.Downstream Rear sensor(B1S1) ( Downstream front & rear are different model number.)
Yeah, I think with over 379K views, you probably crashed their server and now they are requiring you to prove you are a WI resident lol. Very helpful info though, I can find the pic elsewhere. They probably don't even know where all the traffic is coming from; you can't do that with just word of mouth.
I need how to put a knock sensor from a Hyundai Entourage 2008 please make a video please and if you have somebody in Spanish that could do it it would be better

on fords 1234=bank 1..... 5678=bank 2 v8
123=bank 1... 456=bank2 v6

Should have posted the link on the description... But still thank you for a good video.
thanks for the video. do you know if the o2 sensor without California specs will work on the one with California epecs
where do you hook the other end of a o2sensor up at if it has no connector
no one mentions cars that might have a bank 1 sensor 3. is that upstream or down stream?
Thanks for the info! Very nice video and detail!
What about bank 2 sensor 2? I have a 2005 Toyota Sienna. So it will be after the catalytic converter? But how will I tell it apart from the other downstream sensor?
