    Great job. I have 2 Texas fireframes and got traditional iron firebacks. I’d love to see someone do a scientific video with a thermometer and compare the setup. But even if the fire frame doesn’t add heat (it does) it’s cool because you can see *inside the fire*.

    Hi, did you try the vertical grate by grate wall of fire as well? What made you pick the Texas one?

    • @WADZUP
      @WADZUP  Год назад +3

      I found it limiting. I like to build big fires. The Grate limits your fire width and I wanted to be able to build my fire, wider, deeper And higher. Also I think it looks nicer, the fire that is. I’ve watched videos and have seen both.. I also think it would produce more heat but that theory is untested but more fire generally means more heat.

    Enjoyed your video on the Texas Fire frame and bought one mostly based on your review. How long did it take to receive your fire frame. Doesn't appear to be anything on the web site to check on order status. Thanks for your response.

    How do load more wood once its lit? Just from the top or do you slide pieces into the bottom?

    • @WADZUP
      @WADZUP  Год назад +2

      Good question, I’ve tried both with success but I find the key is all about selecting really good pieces of wood for the bottom rack. Making sure that they both are hard wood, big and wide. This way they burn 🔥 for a long time generating a lot of ambers and heat. The upper level you can smaller pieces and you continue to reload the top. I will say the look of the fire 🔥 is beautiful and noticeable hotter and burns cleaner.

    I'm thinking about getting the Texas Fire Grate. Still not sure about the Great Wall Back Plate. Have you tried the Texas fire frame without the Great Wall back plate? And what was the difference? Thanks for the video!!!

    • @WADZUP
      @WADZUP  Год назад +1

      No I haven’t since my back wall started to crack and was a high priority. You could start with the Fire Wall and see if it produces enough radiation but for me I was look for maximum output and needed the most Radiant return. I would also recommend some fireproof gloves, you’ll need them lol.

      Thanks for the quick reply... I ordered the Texas Fire Grate yesterday. Going to see how that works out first than maybe add the Great Wall if I still think I will need it. Already have good gloves I use with my smoker. My wife really loves the look of your fire screen too.. Thanks again for the info...

    Did the fireback seem to heat up more 2 hours into it as you predicted? Or did the heat output plateau?

    You should mention that the heavy fireback is too heavy for prefab fireplaces

    • @WADZUP
      @WADZUP  Год назад

      Why do you think that, more specifically? Are you referring to mounting it?

    • @BabetteTurk
      @BabetteTurk Год назад

      @@WADZUP i checked the great wall of fire website and they state "1 inch thick firebacks as well as some of the larger 3/4" backs may be too heavy for pre-fab fireplaces to safely support, they are intended for use in full masonry fireplaces only."

    Mason stoves are a better design. As Canadian IF could ever afford to build a house it's the only to go. Although I like the rocket mass heater. Of course Trudeau doesn't like us messing up his carbon foot print.👍🇨🇦

    It would have been nice if you’d just get to the purpose of the video instead of running your mouth about politics. I’m an Independent, so it’s not the choice of political party that bothers me. Sometimes people just want to receive helpful information, absent the propaganda.
