the test alone didn't fix it, but adhesive under the magnet did the trick - thanks!

I am having the same issue, switched the top magnet. Tried again with adhesive tape under it. I don’t understand your language, only English. Just trying to figure this out.
You just saved my butt, after a half hour of playing with swapping magnets and stacking adhesive on a screen replacement the recal worked!
Also, pro tip, if you're like me and holding a magnet to he phone screen to keep it on, it'll stay awake in test mode by itself. Once you get by the initial frustration it's golden.
Replaced the magnet from the old screen to the new screen. Added 3M double sided adhesive to it. Working perfectly now!

This on it's own didn't work for me . I added adhesive tape under the magnet as suggested by the pinned comment. This resolved the no display issue but the display remained on when the phone was open. I've then removed the adhesive, leaving the magnet in place, powered the phone back on, but left it closed whilst it's starting up at the Samsung screen. Now I can open and close and both displays work as they should. I had also transferred the original hall IC magnet from the original display, not sure how important this is but something I did as part of the troubleshooting process.

I've now repaired 3 of these handsets, which all have resulted in different procedures to getting the displays working as they should. My comment below seemed to resolve my initial attempt. I've found it's important to completely remove any of the old original black adhesive tape that may remain on both the magnet as well as the LCD. Transferring the original IC, and powering the phone on whilst closed seems to resolve the issue of the outer LCD not working. But you must remove the original black adhesive (at least that's worked for me more recently when the outer display wouldn't work.

So ive heard a lot of people saying it works or the tape works. Then some people saying it doesn't work. Ive been repairing this guys phone and his screen worked and had a line through it, then 2 days later the screen stopped working. I dont have a new screen but i have tried cleaning, unplugging and plugging in. What you are doing in this video seems like the issue im going though but as i said i dont have a new screen just trying to fix without a new screen, can I?
I have this same issue with a Galaxy Fold 4 repair I'm working on, holding a magnet to the back works, but I'm not sure why it works or how to fix the issue permanently. Without holding a magnet to the back of the phone, the inside screen stays black
Hallo und herzlichen Glückwunsch zu den Videos, die du gemacht hast. Mein Sitzplatzdisplay leuchtet nicht mehr. Lass es das gleiche Problem sein, lass es der Näherungssensor sein. Ich habe gesehen, dass der Austausch des Magneten in der Mitte das Problem gelöst hat. Danke schön.

So start the phone without the adhesive but let the phone close during all the start process, all work for me now

This didn’t for me. I’ve had to physically remove the magnet and demagnetize it. Then afterwards you can check hall IC, if it doesn’t instantly say “passed” then it will function normally ie black when closed and turning on when opening.

Hi, danke für die Ansätze zur Reparatur/Behebung des Problems. Bei uns ging es so leider nicht zu beheben. Ich meine, das man in eurem Video beim Zuklappen des Gerätes auch sieht, das das Display nicht aus geht. So war es bei uns ebenfalls nach der Kalibrierung - Hauptdisplay immer an - Zweitdisplay immer aus. Auch nach dem Neustart des Gerätes war die Funktion wie vorher - Hauptdisplay schwarz - Zweitdisplay an.
Wir haben folgendes getan:
-Gerät aus>
-Akku ab>
-hinteres Display ab,
-Austausch Magnet gegen den aus dem defekten Bauteil (roter Strich war bei uns aus versehen unten - wir denken das es vielleicht damit zutun hatte das es am Ende funktioniert hat, konnten dies aber nicht mehr verifizieren da der Kunde das Gerät abgeholt hat. Ihr könnt es ja beiderseits mal testen...wir denken das der Magnet welchen man benutzt keine Rolle spielt, sind aber nicht sicher - der hier beschriebene Weg hat bei uns in der Abfolge der Arbeiten aber geholfen...Magnet so rum oder so rum - probiert es einfach -
-den Plastikschutz über dem Magnet anbringen
-(kurz den Schraubenzieher mit dem Magnet auf den Magnet im Gerät halten -warum auch immer :)
-dann das hintere Display anstecken
- dann den Akku anstecken
- dann das hintere Display so arretieren das es nicht abfällt beim Hantieren mit dem Handy
- dann Gerät Einschalten - nun müsst ihr irgendwie das Display anbekommen und das Testmenü aktivieren, halt wie oben im Video beschrieben - zur Not den Magneten mal auf das Hauptdisplay halten
- jetzt die Kalibrierung öffnen - wenn es jetzt das erste Mal schon brummt, klappt das Handy zu - dies sollte den zweiten Kalibrierungsschritt erzeugen, dann wieder aufklappen. - verlasst das Menü und startet das Gerät neu. Der Bildschirm bleibt schwarz wenn die Kalibrierung richtig durchgeführt wurde...logisch weil der Magnet verkehrt herum drin ist...die folgenden Schritte sind nun klar. Gerät aus, Akku ab, hinteres Display ab, Plastikabdeckung entfernen, Magnet umdrehen...Plastikabdeckung wieder drauf, Display wieder dran, Akku wieder dran, Gerät ein - hoffentlich geht euer Gerät nun wieder. Falls ja, solltet ihr den Magneten einkleben, sonst rappelt es beim Vibrationsalarm im Gehäuse evtl.

What if the screen isn't replaced, I have this phone im repairing for a gentleman and I don't have a new screen. His phone got a line through the inside display, then 2 days later his display just went black. Ive tried everything, any ideas?

Das innere Display bleibt an und das äußere lässt sich auch nocht mit Knock on aktivieren. Versuch mal *#2663# SUB TSP FW Update und TSP FW Update.
Ändert nur gering was aber man kanns dann mittels PowerButton aktivieren.

That is the magnet issue, not the calibration. Just you need to use the original magnet.
Hi My main screen problem solved, but small screen stop working, what should I do?
I did what you said about adding some tape below the magnet, main screen start working but back screen doesnt turn on after closing the phone

@@abdelmalekmahiout3061 J'ai échangé celui du haut à côté de la caméra, tout a fonctionné.
@@MrBasagasinga je vient d'échanger cette aimants mais j'ai toujours le même problème. L'écran ne s'allume pas à l'ouverture du clapet et l'écran secondaire ne fonctionne pas

My issue was on top magnet i put out from original new spare part of LCD and remove the adhesive black tape from magnet, put back magnet without adhesive, screw all back and LCD start works perfectly :) thanks for help

Hi, I was repairing one today and this exact problem occurred. I spent 2-3 hours figuring out why, how, where, and in the end I managed to place the magnet in the right place and fix it. Good work samsung... Any more stupid ideas? (if you want to solve the problem, the magnet really has to be in the right place
)
