One of the most important and more noticeable things with you Ray is, you can speak more freely and you're much happier! Even though the shop isn't making profit yet, you're definitely not as stressed out as you were at the last place. Even though you were having "stage fright" on your first live last night, you did an awesome job rolling thru it. It warms my heart and gives me a big proud smile to see how much happier you are with your family being at the shop with you!! And no, I'm not trying to kiss ass either. Even though we don't know each other personally, just know I'm proud of you for all the great choices you've made!!
    P.s
Wife Unit, I agree with many from the live stream last night with the new idea for a shirt "Brake Clean Mafia", also as a sticker in a couple of sizes. Smaller size for the tool box=5"X5" and 10"X10" for the vehicle. That's my thought, would anyone else agree? Thank you Ray and Ms Lauren for all that you do!! I hope than you both have a great day!!!

It's nice to see you go on your own, as you now answer to no one but yourself (oh and wife). I was a truck driver over ere and was made redundant, so went self employed and loved every minute. So, FYI, PT Cruisers have 4 motor and trans mounts. All motor mounts are on the left side. Top, middle and lower. Only 1 trans mount. One thing MOST mechanics do NOT know is that the top motor mount has an adjustment area. I forget what the measurement is but if it is not correct, then you will get shaking and vibrating a LOT. Ask me how I know. lol. I like to see more of your work on the other 2 cruisers that i saw sittin there.

Hi Ray. I repair Keurigs. When you put the KCup in the machine, DO NOT close the handle. Press the cup down with your fingers until the bottom needle punctures the cup, then close the handle. This prevents coffee grounds from shooting up into the top needle, and eventually clogging it.

Re: the vibration and engine movement, check the main engine mount on the passenger side. It has a single bolt accessible through the fender well that passes through the mount and threads into the plate that is bolted to the front of the engine over the timing cover. This mount and bolt are a common problem on the PT boats. It is hard to diagnose the problem because the mount is almost impossible to see due to the tight clearance between the engine and the body.

Easiest way to check the main mount at the timing cover, is pop the plug out of the frame behind the passenger wheel, and observe the position of the torx head bolt. It should be reasonably centered in the hole. If it's near the bottom of the frame hole, the mount is collapsed.

Actually John typing. Wife's laptop. Long time, multiple PT owner on purpose :). First thing that gets broken on a timing belt change is the AC plug when you jack up the motor, thus the RTV repair on the yellow 07 plug. You have to jack up and let the motor down multiple times to access all servicing, mounting bolts especially for a timing belt/water pump replacement. The shake issue, Bad (two speed) fan motor usually causes a motor shake (as you have determined). Any electrical load on a PT has an effect on idle, even the windows, :). 100k mile, things that are usually ready to be replaced. Timing belt/water pump, T-stat, fan motor assy. and radiator cap. Sometimes the radiator. Especially if the orange goo is present on the cap gasket. Lower control arm assy's are easier and less expensive than replacing the ball joint and bushings as separate parts. There are multiple PT Cruiser sites on FB. You should see the custom work people do to these cars, world wide. Enjoying your page. It's my first "go to " daily, on RUclips.

You can see the mount bolt thru the fender well. If the bolt isn't center or above center it's sagging.
That mount is easy to replace when doing the timing belt. Other than that it's impossible.

I also have large home made jumper cable about 20 ft long which I also built with 200 amp clmps. All soldered and bolted lugs to the clamps. They are about 32 years old. Never had a problem jump starting anything, including 24 volt systems. I have 2 sets. I carry them in the back of my Tahoe, where I have a deep cycle 1000 cca batery mounted and hooked to my charging system. I thought I was the only one that built their own jumper cables.

Ray, I’ve been researching jump boxes in preparation to buy one. The CAT unit you have is badly rated, even the Costco shop guy says they have trouble with one they use in tire shop. Also, they get lots of returns from them. I scratched that one off my list.

That is the single most annoying jump box ever made. I bought one for my shop as well and that thing ended up in the trash inside of two weeks. Not only does it beep incessantly it hardly ever actually jumped anything fully charged or not. That plus the shrieking is a hard no on that cat box if you can avoid it.
