That bitsy jig is one of the best kept secrets out there. Been telling people for years- any color works, and you get a jig and three trailers for three bucks. The absolutely catch the hell out of the fish.
I don't think it is much of a secret it's just the hype the other jigs get.Great for us imo this is the best finnesse jig out there been using for years
You my man are the one guy so far whos made me want to start my own channel. I hope i can get my hands on a gopro soon so i can start doing stuff like this. Great video
Nice content enjoyed your video I recently just started fishing light jigs I have 6”9 medium light spinning combo . I been using 3/16 oz bitsy bug jig i landed 1 lost two any advice on hooksets ? or should i start using medium spinning setup ?
I think your setup is fine. The biggest change I've noticed is when I use braid line with a fluorocarbon leader, I get much better hook up rates. If you're using mono, that stretch the line gives you on a hook set can work against you.
Saweet video!👍🏼 what connection knot are you using for the braid to fluoro? And also what is the length and action on that Airid rod? Seems like a medium light?

Go for it! It’s fun watching back the video and putting it all together.
Man nature sounds beautiful
Love those bitsy bug jigs. Very affordable and good quality. Caught some nice pike on those.
Bitsy bug jigs are great. Totally underrated.
I love these little lakes you're going to. Next all we need is exact coordinates of the lake! Lol, J/K....keep doing your homework!
I love these little lakes, too! As for the coordinates…
I’d know a kwik trip anywhere!!!

Double uni knot for the connection. 6’6” medium light Arid X rod
@@tiefsa thanks man! Good luck on next trip/vid
Howdy partner
Greetings fellow Wisconsinite - how are you fishing this? I have never gotten bit on a jig. What’s your retrieve on the jig?
I let it get to the bottom, and then I just reel it straight back in and twitch sometimes
@@tiefsa do you maintain bottom contact?
@@ToddReuterOutdoors No. I let it hit once, and then bring it up. This lake is weedy, so I try to keep it on the edge of the weeds.
