    The best thing I did to erase the ''lion wrinkles'' between my eyebrows is to get sunglasses. I stopped frowning altogether.

      YES! Sunglasses make your life so much easier by removing that strain from your eyes.
      But also, I'm a weirdo who kind of likes my lion wrinkles because they're like a little indicator of "this person spends a lot of time with a thinky face" so maybe call them "thinker marks" 🤓

      I don’t understand how people can stop “emoting” lol. I’ve heard this said many times. I don’t know when I’m making facial expressions bc it happens naturally and my face is just expressive when I talk, I’m definitely not intentional with it. I’d love to know how people stop making expressions, seems really difficult.

      Probably you have dry skin, dry skin ages much faster than oily skin. You can try some face massages . Those expressive wrinkles can appear if you do it in excess, for example even when you are relaxing, even when you are walking . Try some meditation , where all your face muscles are relaxed.

    I've recently noticed a very interesting effect of being forced to work online - my forehead lines have vanished. As a teacher, working online for me means videoconferencing a LOT, and guess what - turns out seeing myself on the screen all the time has made me stop frowning throughout the day. Did not see that coming.

    • @Oceanww

      Yeah I tend to accidentally frown more when I’m not alone. If I’m the same room as someone, I get the urge to frown if I’m frustrated. If I’m alone and not on camera, I frown less.

    One on the changes I have made to prevent forehead wrinkles is to change the way I apply mascara. Most people crinkle their forehead when they put on mascara. And that adds up over years. I look down into a mirror so I don't crinkle.
    Also use retin A, and spf.
    And for a cosmetic improvement. MALLYS FACE DEFENDER is magical to blur fine wrinkles and texture and shine.

    • @Naimah_Vlogs
      @Naimah_Vlogs Год назад +7

      Yes!!! Applying mascara can be an issue I've notice I look up when I apply it and therefore some lines appear in my forehead when I do

    • @LiliS319
      @LiliS319 11 месяцев назад +14

      I get that it may feel like that.. But those 30 seconds a day are in no way responsible for wrinkles.

    • @ptboy18
      @ptboy18 8 месяцев назад +8

      @LiliS319 Oh you'd be surprised. Most people apply mascara the exact same way and raise their eyebrows the same height. Now imagine folding a paper on the same line every day for 30 seconds...it will definitely add a deep crease rather than random emotions throughout your day.

Don’t smoke and drink moderately and only on special occasions if you drink at all. Get your sleep ,minimize your stress exercise often. Retinoids (most effective and proven is tretinoin ideally at 0.25% but it might be hard to get it prescribed for anti aging without another cause) otherwise use 1% adapalene (if it's OTC where you live) retinaldehyde or retinol. Red light therapy using a red light mask might help too, professional micro needling, chemical exfoliation, electro therapy, light therapy, cosmetic surgery are options too but may be inaccessible, unaffordable and not wanted.
      OTC products i'd recommend are like I stated before retinoids (vitamin A), vitamin C, (L-Ascorbic Acid) Vitamin B3 (Niacinamide), Azelaic Acid, Resveratrol, Pycnogenol, Alpha Arbutin, CoQ10, Agrieline, copper peptides, matrixyl 3000, epidermal growth factors, resorcinol, astaxanthin, glutathione, tranexamic acid, kojic acid, adenosine, ceramides, probiotics, hyaluronic acid, salicylic acid, glycolic acid and spf50 broad spectrum PA++++ sunscreen.
      Obviously you don't and probably shouldn't use all of these ingredients but just look out for them in your skincare routine products. The most important ingredients would be vitamin A, C, B3, copper peptides, glycolic acid, CoQ10 (ubiquinone), ceramides and hyaluronic acid. You want to keep your skin hydrated, your skin barrier healthy, reduce oxidative stressors, UV damage and increase cellular turnover with chemical exfoliants, go at your own pace using ingredients non irritable for you.
      If you use makeup, use an oil cleanser followed by a gentle soothing, hydrating cleanser, a moisturizer and then serums with some aforementioned ingredients, then lastly a SPF50 broad spectrum PA++++ sunscreen.
      Wrinkles are a natural part of aging and it's important to note that it's okay to have them, you'll get them eventually anyways, the most likely cause is sun damage, if you're by a window often this can be an exacerbated factor, genetics and ones environment also plays a part.

    I have eye sensitivity so I frown and squint a lot! Even trying to use frownies my sleep frowning will wrinkle the patch lol. I have some upper horizontal ones which don't really bother me (I also raised my brows lots as I have hooded eyes), but the 11s region is the area that aggravates me! 😤

      literally don't make facial expressions. you can either train yourself not to move those muscles (don't raise your eyebrows, wear sunglasses to prevent squinting when the sun is bright), use facial tapes/patches at night and/or have botox injection to paralyze the muscle. also sunscreen and retinoids

    Hello Shireen. I've been going to dermatologists here in Australia for a whole year and it has been draining me as a student. Randomly after use of AHA and retinal i developed a small PIH mark that refuses to budge and is only on epidermis. Ive been using HQ but even after lightening it still looks like a portwine stain.

    • @nuninuninu5095
      @nuninuninu5095 11 месяцев назад

      When you use HQ hydroquinone and then go in the sun without sunscreen you can get orchinosis. That may be what you are talking about with the port wine stain. I had one. I was able to diminish it with a very soft microfiber face cloth and washing my face with salicylic acid. it's still there but dramatically reduced. I have been working on it for about 2 years. Stay on it. Use sunscreen. Stay out of the sun. Wear a big hat and sunglasses.

    In fact when i noticed a super fine line between my eyebrows at 25ish i made it a habit not to crunch them together anymore, not even for show. Now it's a movement my face doesn't even remember how to do and the line has not deepened in the past 10 years. So yeah, works.
    I'm not gonna stop smiling though. I dont like lines on my face but I love laughing way too much to avoid it!

    I have sun damage on my face and fine lines, mild rosacea(I live in florida and just realized I need to wear a hat and sunglasses and spf all the time.) would you recommend laser resurfacing? i wear sunscreen and avoid direct sun exposure, am not very expressive, don’t smoke, drink often, or eat sugar excessively. i sleep well, drink enough water, and use a retinoid in my routine. even so at 20 years old the entire surface of my skin is covered in fine lines that are deepening and developing quickly. not just the normal forehead, eye, and smile lines, but every single square cm. even on my nose and cheeks and temples and mouth corners and chin. it makes my skin look so dull and awful. im also seeing laxity in my eyelids that wasn’t like that as recently as a year ago, and i have crepey-ish and thin skin on much of my body. it’s very strange and distressing and my dermatologist hasn’t been of any help to me. please please share if you have any advice that could help me

    • @rebeccahowie623
      @rebeccahowie623 Год назад

      I hear you... I'm having the same problem. I pretty much cover all the bases you mentioned, and yet my skin everywhere, not just face, is crepey, flakey dry as can be. I am now 43, and the forehead horizontal lines are awful, so deep. One big difference, however, to your situation, as you explained it, is that I have been bedridden 99% of every day for 6 years. No sun whatsoever... I can't even remember what it feels like to have the sun on my skin. But it's crazy, I lie in bed barely moving, never speaking to anyone (so no emoting ever), apart from the odd word to my caregiver. I'm at a complete loss.😔
      Any suggestions very welcome.
