Yet, Snake said in the intro/briefing, "so they're still around" as if he knew them as being FOXHOUND members
If the writers made it that way then none of us, the audience would get to understand background details in the characters of foxhound. You are right tho.

@@alvin4422 if your wanting an all round better playing experience then yes twin snakes is far superior, but mgs has always been more of a movie than your average game, so for me what makes the metal gear solid franchise stand out as one of the best is the soundtrack which sucks you into the story regardless of the graphics and gameplay. I am watching in 2020 and just noticed when the colonel talks about finding the DARPA chief he said if he's alive and it turns out that the DARPA Chief is dead so did he know lol
One thing that still bugs me to this day... If FOXHOUND was Snake's and Campbell's former unit (and Campbell was even its commander at some point), why do they "seemingly" have little to no clue on who Liquid, Ocelot, Mantis, Wolf, Raven, and Octopus are? Yet, Snake said in the intro/briefing, "so they're still around" as if he knew them as being FOXHOUND members
If the writers made it that way then none of us, the audience would get to understand background details in the characters of foxhound. You are right tho.
"so they're still around", doesn't mean these specific people, it means the unit as a thing, when Snake was in Foxhound there could have been different members around and during the time he came retired the guys from this game took over the unit
If they added this to switch i would most likely buy it for nostalgia purposes.
If Konami ever rereleases this they need to add a dummy thicc mode.
well they did

let's face it: other than the soundtrack, this was a huge improvement over the original PSX version
@JJRJ 85 whilst I agree that the graphics and gameplay are much improved, The action movie cutscenes are ridiculously unnecessary plus I also feel like the voice acting in this game lacks emotion compared to the original.
@@Slim-Braidy That depends...if the game is being played by someone who got stuck with the original version for a long time.
And whilst its the same story as the original I don't feel as invested playing twin snakes through lack of emotion. If you add the soundtrack and the original voice dialogue to twin snakes, I think you have a masterpiece.
@@alvin4422 if you get the chance to play the original or even watch the movie version on RUclips I'd be curious to see what your thoughts on it are. You may still prefer twin snakes with it being your first, but the original whist having shit graphics by todays standards was way ahead of its time in 1998, and is still highly regarded in 2020.
The PSX offered a better experience, the game isn't laughably easy for one, the VA and soundtrack is better, the cut-scenes aren't dogshit over the top crap and the graphics have far better aesthetics on PS1 than the dull-depressing look of every single level in the CG remake. This remake is utter shit and looks fan made.
1:09:39 Meryl: “I’m not Green!”
Snake: “Oh, yes you are..”
lmao wtf
Obviously the direct meaning that he is putting off is she's just a rookie/noob. However, The pause was weird. I wonder if that's an inside joke to the fact the on screen characters there are actually green 😂
Fun Fact:
All the voice acting was re-recorded in this game because the audio files couldn’t be ported from the PSX to the GCN correctly.
That and the controls and games mentioned by Psycho Mantis are different.
Tyler Andrews It wasn’t nicknamed PS1 until the PS2 came out actually so really it’s a matter of preference
Damn Gray Fox had Goku instant transmission!!!
Ocelot can't even introduce himself without flipping the fucking gun around for 5 minutes
They should remake mgs1 to 3 on the switch
Oh wow, hindsight's 20/20. Liquid literally talking about one of the plot twists in front of Snake hours before it gets brought up properly.
People bashing on the dialogue and hate how its on gamecube. Who gives af. As a die hard MGS fan I would have loved to play this. This is literally the only MG game I havent played. Well this version at least. I just bought the Master collection on switch. Just brought me straight back to my childhood. 😢🫡
Do you think love can bloom, even on the battlefield?
The absolute benefits of having first person 46:23

I couldn't remember when the grenade was coming. I'm used to the original. There's no dude saying "take this." The grenades just fly in and blow up.
@@theDEPTHSofDOOM its a reference to a meme
I love the Nintendo references in this game
I'm kind of glad I played the ps1 version first. This version just gives off a completely different vibe I don't even think it's bad it's just not the tone I prefer. This is alot more over the top action movie while the original is kind of a more grounded thriller.
Snake says "I don't need a handkerchief"
Otacon asks "why?" As if its some sort of necessary item, looool
This games more cut scenes and radio talk than actual gameplay
Welcome to the Metal Gear series? ;)
Lmao you think this game is mostly cutscenes, play mgs4 lol
Awesome play for Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes in 18 years.
Everyone: Metal Gear Solid is the best game ever. They should do a remake to it
Twin Snakes: Am I a joke to you?
People like to downplay it.
Yes Twin Snakes is a joke
@@HistoryandReviews It wasn't that bad
the best is yet to come
i feel like the laughing photos during the Psycho Mantis scene leading immediately into the fight was a reference to Evil Dead 2: Dead By Dawn. i'm not exactly knowledgeable on the Metal Gear series, though, so maybe they already confirmed that? anyways, i'm a huge Evil Dead fan, lol.
Your aim made me feel alot better about my own when I play
Best game of all time.
1:55:23 Mario: I'm watching you, Snake.
This game is not the same without the original soundtrack.
It’s not supposed to be the same. Remakes are a different take on a classic.
46:25 Dang, that gun fight with the Perspective Mode really cheesed the whole boss fight pretty quick.
in the original, the dialogues are much more emotional and lively
But the original dialogue doesn't accurately translate the Japanese version. Also, the original dialogue is fast paced.
@@filipeflower wrong! The original is great and the dialogue is slower! In this version everyone talks fast in the codex
@@HistoryandReviews How can you prove that?
Great gameplay! As I cant play it, its nice to watch to know it better after I finished the Play1 version
Mgs1 + Mgs2 = Mgs Twin Snakes
I like the original 1998 version better, idk why remake this
Because Hideo Kojima himself wanted that.
Metal Gear Solid The Twin Snakes Full да
A few years ago I sold the vast majority of my games and systems and the only games I really regret selling (mainly cos I cant get them in any legal digital form as of speaking) are Mario Kart double dash, mario sunshine, F Zero GX and Twin Snakes.

Apart from graphics and control the game is inferior in everyway
The music and voice acting is killed on this version and not to mention dodging bullets. Come on
@@critchblackpoolful 🤷🏾♂️ ooook you're right😕 You internet critics annoy me
@@filipeflower quite easy
The voice acting is terrible
They lost the music which makes so many scenes lose emotion
They've remade the scenes even worse
A lot of people trash this remake and I really don’t know why, all the points I ever hear are “it’s too goofy with the choreography and cutscenes” or “FP killed it”
Honestly I just don’t get those points at all being those two things are heavily involved in the rest of the series, for Christ sake metal gear solid two you run around naked inside a metal gear nobody has an issue with that, I get it it makes it “easier”but you really don’t have to use FP if you don’t want to
Twin snakes took everything faithfully from the first game and Remade it to fit the mold that MGS2 set which honestly is superior to the original MGS design wise and all around, and added more on what the original did great with great graphics for a GameCube game might I say
I think 90% of the love of MGs1 is just nostalgia that game was great don’t get me wrong but this highly improved what that did people just nitpick the shit out of this release impo
Just my opinion tho nobody is wrong for not liking it like what you like
Absolute masterpiece in my eyes tho I hope it gets added to the master collection so I can play it on switch
It’s a game that gets flack for me for no good reason and it
It’s all about tone and art design. This game is like a film. The original ps1 version may have inferior gameplay overall but it makes up for it with the overall atmosphere. It has better voice acting and soundtrack. Big part of this game as you spend alot of time in cutscene. They keep doing this willl all game remakes. Taking away the original art design, what made it unique and really stand out and turning it into something generic and more American basically.
I remember playing demo version.
The reason why this was so good along with other Metal Gear Solid Games is because Hideo Kojima is a movie buff and sampled everything from 80s and 90s spy and action films.
Snnaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaakkkkkeeeeeeee !!!!!!!!!!!!!
I still have my copy with my case and booklets rn I’m playing it rn with this video
I find the voice acting and direction to be awful in this game compared to the original. The actors just don’t seem lively, or that they care.
Yeah, the voice acting was really good in the original. You could tell they were good. It seems like they didn't take the voice acting part very seriouly in twin snakes 😂
Nonsense, Hayter drops Snakes voice multiple times in the original. This is more clean.
