Chris fished with me 6 times in Canada for wild St.Lawrence river carp, He's love for carp was strong has was He's personality making me laugh on the carp stories. He put in lots of hard work that makes the carp world today.
I never got to meet him, gutted! Would love to meet Tim paisley before it’s too late! So I can thank him in person for everything he’s done for carp fishing
We used to call him the Murray Walker of carp fishing in the Carp-Talk office. He was well-liked and a great communicator with an almost encyclopaedic knowledge of carp fishing history - and he couldn't half mangle a phrase when he got excited! Sad that he's gone, but this is a wonderful tribute.
I drew a pencil portrait of Chris with a Carp and handed it to him at a Trade show in Genk Belgium. It's probably 30 years ago now. I believe he had it framed and hung it in his Carp room at home? He was a lovely fellow.
