What a video, The passion for carpfishing in this movie is next level. This is why i love carpfishing. Also credits for the movie editor!
I've said this many times...in 1977 I decided to try to fish for carp armed with 7ft spinning rod,black Prince reel with 8lb Bayer perlon line there was no fancy rigs.i had a arsley bomb and swivel size 6 hook and my rod rests were two branches from the trees,bite alarm lol never heard of one I had my mums washing up bottle cap, and I used a crusty cob loaf I saved up with my pocket money it cost me 6 old pennies, and on that day 7/7/1977 the time elvis passed away I caught 7 carp off the top the biggest a 23lb leather,best fondest day of my life
Probably one of if not the best Alan Blair production this is carp fishing at its finest and johns passion for Alan and fishing in general should give even non angling people some passion to grab a rod!!
John sounds like the sort of chap you could spend hours talking to over several cups of tea, his passion is radiating through this video. A genuine gentleman, Alan ain’t bad either 😅😜

This is giving off modern day passion for angling vibes , the cinematography ,the venues ,the history and of course Alan a John what a duo.
Grew up watching John bailey, John Wilson, et al, never seen Alan before but what wonderful passion for angling he has, breath of fresh air in modern, soulless, emotionless carp angling.
One of the best videos ever made by Nash. The duo Alan and John is just incredible. Lovely watch!

This is a next level masterpiece. To capture the raw emotion from the duo and portray it in such a way is nothing short of genius. Alan and John are a joy to watch, fishing a lake that’s in every carp fisherman’s dream. Everything from the filming, the editing, all the music selection then to the stills at the end is top drawer.

It’s not often you see such a beautifully crafted film. The wonder and emotions of angling shine through in a way I’ve not seen before.
Perhaps it’s the raw honest and the total absence of pretence that makes this such a delight to watch, I don’t know, but it’s a gem.
Just magical and the ending piano music really finished it off

What a fantastic film, watch it with my 13 year old son and loved every minute of it. It brought back memories of a book I was bought when I was a similar age as my son "In pursuit of carp and catfish" by Kevin Maddocks. This film 35 years later reminded me so much of that book.

Just finished the video and after the first one I was very excited for this and it didn't disappoint. John is a fantastic addition to the series and Alan, well this style of video is my favourite with him. Plenty of raw emotions and great fishing.

This might be my favourite Nash video, a stark contrast to what would be expected. John and Alan have a genuine chemistry, you can tell Alan is "starstruck" by John and John is by Alan. I'd watch these two fish for anything, anywhere. I love Nash videos and i think this sort of video would go down a treat to anybody that likes fishing. Great work 👍🏿

Part One was amazing. However the fishing, editing, music score, storyline & production of part Two is Nash & Alan showing they make some “very special films”.
Not just films for anglers but for everyone to enjoy. I am a massive Nash fanboy , but this has blown all my expectations.
There is a moment on Alan’s very first float / surface cast when he brings it back in and you can see Alan’s hands shaking with excitement as he’s trying to get the fresh bait on the hook / hair. It’s his passion trembling though him to get it out as quickly as possible. There is something very special about watching an angler like him even at the top of his game reacting like a little kid again. These are the emotions fishing can bring out in us all. #memories

Just watched this for the second time and it very nearly brought me to tears. I don't know if it's the filming, the passion or just the good old nostalgia for a barely fished pond deep in the countryside. Whatever is was, it worked. You may get a lot of stick in some quarters but thanks Nash for producing content like this ❤

Purely fantastic film and great angling with two obvious friends and heroes.
It's nice to see fishing videos where the characters are not jumping around like 10 year olds. There is a feeling of reality about Nash videos and Alan is more like one of us in that the session does not always end with the waters biggest fish. John Bailey has been around in one way or another since I started fishing 55 years ago. He is well respected by everyone in the sport and his knowledge is second to none. Here's to more of the same.

It's rare i ever comment on youtube videos. Wow, i was blown away by this one. This is spectacular in both content and production. Passion for Angling meets the 2020's (and i realise what a brave statement that is). Glorious stuff. RUclips content on carp fishing is constantly pushing the limits but this one is what many will now aspire to make. Whens part 3 out???? 👏👏

What an incredible film. Alan was choking up at stages you could hear it. We all would aswell. Alan’s fishing is totally different from mine but I love him. What a fella. Just seems like a totally nice bloke. If nash could bottle and sell his energy you’d all be unbelievably rich ❤

Probably the best fishing film i have seen - great work
Superb. When I first started watching I thought it was going to be filmed on yet another small water, recently stocked with more 30's & 40's than it could naturally support but I couldn't have been more wrong. With that in mind the result was exceptional. Some of the watercraft on display was far more educational than a thousand rig videos. Oh and can we have some more float fishing footage for BIG carp (with or without John) please???

BRILLIANT, u can just feel the passion for fishing, I too went from tench fishing to carp fishing , it's just an absolute addiction catching carp , be it a pasty of 5 pounds to a 20 pounder, it's just about getting out and having a rod or 2 in the water

Great watch as always. It's an Norfolk trout fishery you could fish in the 80s. Nice to see the carp have grown on from the 90's when they closed down the trout side and formed a syndicate. Nice to see a carp lake were it's not been turned into a money making business.
